Jennifer, glad you enjoyed your cruise and that the house closing went so smoothly. Here's some pixiedust: to help speed the unpacking so that you can relax a little! Can't wait to see the trip report & pictures when you get your internet access.

Denise, I love the picture of the kids on their new bikes. They look like they are really having a great time. Those are some pretty awesome first bikes as well!

Glynis, I enjoy reading your trip report pages! Thanks for sharing them. It makes me want to check out Disneyland myself. I'll have to make that trip that you & Paula are planning for us!

TAMMI,

I am so very sorry...I also do not have any words to help but I will always lend an ear (as we all will here) when you need us. My thoughts are with you & your children.

I'm really getting worried about Chuck. He is getting worse. I sure hope the Celebrex starts doing what it is supposed to soon. We got two beds last night because he is having so much trouble sleeping and he wanted to try sleeping in his own bed. He has said that there are times in the night when I put my hand on his shoulder and he wants to scream because of the pain. I'm praying that this is viral. He is such an active person. We've been talking about our plans for after Becky graduates and it all involves camping, biking, kayaking & hiking trips. I'm worried if this can't be resolved, that the next issue we'll be dealing with is his depression. I'm already starting to see that it might become an issue. June 21st can't come fast enough for me. Thanks for all your thoughts & prayers. It helps!!!

Prayers and :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for Chuck (and you)!

Vicki - I'm so sorry that Chuck is getting worse! I wish that there was something more that I could do, but I can't. I'll just keep praying for him and the doctor's that are treating him. How frustrating to be in pain and not know what is causing it!

I had to rethink the princess border in Alyssa's new room, because I realized her carpet is light blue!

So, this is what I bought tonight on Ebay:

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=ADME:B:EOIBSAA:US:11&Item=4468811943

I've also bought some Tinkerbell and Princess wall stickers at Home Depot, so most of the Disney females will be represented!

I do have to pick a paint color though...light blue carpet and this colorful border...what do you think?

Thanks!
Amy :)

I love the border! What color walls did you end up choosing? I can't wait to see pictures of the finished room.

My sister in law sent this to me, and I thought it was worth forwarding to you all. I hope you don't mind.

** SPECIAL GROCERY LIST
*** Louise Redden, a poorly dressed lady with a look of defeat on
her face, walked into a grocery store.
*
She approached the owner of the store in a most humble manner and asked if he would let her charge a few groceries.

She softly explained that her husband was very ill and unable
to work, they had seven children and they needed food. John Longhouse, the grocer, scoffed at her and requested that she leave his store at once.

Visualizing the family needs, she said: "Please, sir! I will bring you the money just as soon as I can."

John told her he could not give her credit, since she did not have a charge account at his store.

Standing beside the counter was a customer who overheard the conversation between the two. The customer walked forward and told the grocer that he would stand good for whatever she needed for her family.

The grocer said in a very reluctant voice, "Do you have a grocery list?"

Louise replied, "Yes sir."

"O.K" he said, "put your grocery list on the scales and
whatever your grocery list weighs, I will give you that amount in
groceries."

Louise, hesitated a moment with a bowed head, then she reached into her purse and took out a piece of paper and scribbled something on it. She then laid the piece of paper on the scale carefully with her head still bowed.

The eyes of the grocer and the customer showed amazement when the scales went down and stayed down.

The grocer, staring at the scales, turned slowly to the customer and said begrudgingly, "I can't believe it."

The customer smiled and the grocer started putting the groceries on the other side of the scales. The scale did not balance so he continued to put more and more groceries on them until the scales would hold no more.

The grocer stood there in utter disgust. Finally, he grabbed the piece of paper from the scales and looked at it with greater amazement.

It was not a grocery list, it was a prayer, which said:

"Dear Lord, you know my needs and I am leaving this in your hands."

The grocer gave her the groceries that he had gathered and stood in stunned silence.

Louise thanked him and left the store.

The other customer handed a fifty-dollar bill to the grocer and said; "It was worth every penny of it.. Only God Knows how much a prayer weighs."

THE POWER OF PRAYER: When you receive this, say a prayer. That's all you have to do. Just stop right now, and say a prayer of thanks for your own good fortune.

Then please send this to all your friends and relatives.

I believe if you will send this testimony out with prayer in faith, you will receive what you need God to do in your and your families' life.

So dear heart, trust God to heal the sick, provide food for the hungry, clothes and shelter for those that don't have as we do. Amen & Amen

Hi all. I just scanned in the autograph pages I made for my co-worker who's going to WDW late September. I had to start all over again as the ones I made for our December trip were lost in the hard drive crash. Some of them would not print out in this format correctly (Mickey, Minnie, Pluto, Goofy, Eeyore and Tigger - Piglet didn't print quite right, either), but there's plenty for you to get the idea. I borrowed Kate's four parks design to use on the inside cover page. The pages are actually set up so that there's 1/2 inch of white on the left side for punching holes to place the pages in the 5 x 7 scrapbook. Hope you like them!

June. I love your autograph pages. I hope your co-worker loves them too. I'm working on ours and it is taking such a long time to get them made. I started out making them specifically for our 2007 trip, complete with date. I have since removed the date and just have the kids names at the top, Walt Disney World and each one has the character clipart and character name. I figure that way we can do one autograph book that we can just keep adding too and each character will have a special page just for them. Chris likes the idea as he thinks that we won't have to do the same characters each trip which means less waiting in lines. I think that Colby might disagree as he will still want to meet each one and have his picture taken each time he comes across them. I think I have over 100 pages done so far, but can think of more that I need to make.

I've had a rather stressful day. When I got to work I took a peek at the newspaper as I always do. On the front page was the news that the man (dealer) that I bought I my mobile home from had crashed his SUV into a pole less than a mile from his home and was killed instantly. He was only 48, and had two young children (his daughter is just 5). I believe I mentioned the other night that after my husband died I was forced to declare bankruptcy. Well, when I fell in love with my present home, I missed out on getting a mortgage to purchase it by just a few points. I was so terribly disappointed. Scott said he had some other homes that were less money that he could show me, but I wanted this one. This wonderful man financed the home for me himself (personally, not through his dealership). I paid him back in full in 4 years, but I will never forget how wonderful he was. Without him and his generosity and faith in me I would not have my home today. Just to show how well liked and respected he was, it took over an hour just to get into the funeral parlor tonight. The line stretched half a block! Please add a prayer for Scott's family to your ever growing list.

Prayers & pixiedust: for Scott's family & friends. What a wonderful man he must have been!

Well, everyone, I may not be posting as much as usual, although I will keep up with the thread, as it's an escape from realty. John has told me he wants a divorce, and as you can imagine, I am devastated. I am scared to death of what this is going to do to our kids. He has taken them out for the day and he wants to "talk" to them tonight. They have absolutely no idea. No, our marriage has not been blissfully happy lately, but I had no idea that it reached this point. I have not told my parents, which is a phone call I am dreading. If any of you who have been through this, especially with little kids, can offer me some advice, I would really appreciate it.

OMG. My heart goes out to you. I wish I had some words of wisdom but I do not. I will keep you and your family in my prayers.

Evening everyone,

Denise - the picture of the kids on their bikes is great, it's amazing how well Rees is doing!

Tammi - :grouphug: My heart goes out to you, I went through a divorce 24 years ago, after which I said I would never remarry and go through that again, well God sent me someone who not only married me but reaised my daughter as his own. She never refers to him as her step father, he is simply dad. We'll be celebrating our 21st anniversary next month. June gave you some excellent advise, just remember there really is a light at the end of the tunnel.

Vicki - Prayers for you that they find out the cause of Chuck's pain and are able to cure it quickly.

Amy - the pictures of Alyssa are adorable as always, it seems like such a long time ago when my girls were that size. Before you know it you'll be looking back at those pictures and wonder where the time has gone.

Hope everyone has a Magical Evening,

Debbie

A question...

I posted this over on the UK board but would welcome your inputs too :)

As you know we're off to the World in November this year and I really want to upgrade our MYW tix to APs... which means we get to go again in 2007, but can't go during our fave time - the first two weeks of November.

So... when should we go?

Tell me your favourite time of year for a visit... what the crowds are like... and the weather... and why it's your favourite time.

We'll probably be doing 10-12 nights and most likely staying off property but that's up for discussion...

Can't wait to hear your suggestions :)

We went October 15th - 23rd last year and loved it. It was hot enough for water parks, but not hot like it is in July. The crowds were not bad and we got to do MNSSHP. I would definately go that time of year again.
