I asked Chuck if we were going anywhere tonight. He said he wasn't feeling well and would prefer to wait until he is feeling better. First he asked, if I would be mad or would hold it against him! I really don't mind. I'm in the basement making some progress on my office. I also got 4 packages in the mail today so I'm playing with that.

Bad news! The convertible is too small for Pal Mickey. It will be going to my nephew for his birthday in August. I didn't even get it out of the box. Oh well. I'll have to keep looking!!! Still haven't set up the tent but it is awesome!

:wizard: for Chuck, hope he feels better soon!

Sorry to hear the convertible won't work for Pal Mickey but I'm sure your nephew will love it!

Hi! I just ran downstairs to the library (they have internet). John is upstairs with Rees. He is doing awesome and hasn't needed any pain meds! He's walked around once, been up twice to go potty. I'm amazed. They should be bringing him a grilled cheese sandwich pretty soon. Unless something happens, we should be home sometime tomorrow.

Gotta run as others need the computer. But Happy B'day to Delinda and Happy Anniversary to Vicki and Chuck.

Check with y'all later. Thanks for all the support and prayers!

That is wonderful wonderful news - go Rees!!!! :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Speaking of matchy girls, today is "twin day" at Nicholas' school. Kids were paired up to dress alike. Nicholas wore his Fantasmic Mickey shirt and I sent Alyssa's matching shirt in so his "twin" could wear it. It should be cute!

Tammi -- How did lunch at Ferry Farm go today?

I tried to post this last night but the server :badpc: :badpc:

So thirty five years ago, I was just being prepped for surgery. At midnight I felt my water break with a pop and started getting ready to go to the hospital. I called and said that the Dr. mentioned I might need a C-section. So my sister helped get me ready and we waited for my Mom to come and get us. As we are going to the hospital, they are arguing about whether my sister could stay with me at the hospital. Well that was the first real time I got so mad that I just yelled "Just get me to the hospital dammit!"
My DH was in Guam and they would not let him come home. Besides getting everything in triplicate, you gotta get some things in blood. They had first promised he could but then changed their minds. So he didn't get to see his so for another two months. So here is my first born.

So your son is born June 5th and your daughter is born on June 11th? That is to neat as my Dad's birthday is June 5th and mine is June 11th.

I enjoyed looking at the pictures.

I've got you beat. I'm about 17 years behind. Becky kept complaining that I didn't have any baby pictures of her. I kept telling her that I have lots of pictures of her. I finally had to go through the boxes & boxes of pictures to collect all of her baby pictures so that she could see that even though they aren't in photo albums, I have lots of pictures of her as a baby. I want to get them in albums before she graduates next year. I also want to complete one scrapbook for each of them by then.
I gotta do my whole life. :rotfl2: I have a scrapbook from when I was a baby to about 3, that my Mom made when I was little, but it is falling apart. But once again before I work on my own stuff I feel I gotta work on someone elses stuff. I want to either do a digital or paper scrapbbok for my Dad's 60th birthday, which is today. But I want it for his suprise Birthday party on June 24th, I gotta get started but have been working on things for other stuff before this.

I figure I am working on getting some memories scrapped, better than nothing and leaving them in the boxes. Although he has a scrapbook that his mother made him, but it isn't archival safe and neither is mine.

:woohoo: sounds promising.

Denise -- sounds like things really went well today. I am so very happy for all of you, but especially Rees. I hope the recovery continues to be so quick and worry-free.

Vicki -- HAPPY ANNIVERSARY to you and Chuck. Hope he soon feels better so that you two can celebrate.

After buying and returning 4 bags, I think I found the one I'm looking for (except for the fact it's in black...) http://www.travelonbags.com/6268.html It's got an expandable water bottle holder, the CC's are in a pocket against my body, and there is enough room inside for my camera, a pocket for park maps, and some room to spare for two disposable ponchos and travel size Purels. I think I'm set! :teeth:

It was fun. Alyssa likes to go because she pretends that she is in Kindergarten. She gets to go through the line in the cafeteria and sit at the lunch tables with the class. She even got to be line leader from the cafeteria back to the classroom. Then I stayed for awhile to read books to the class. Nicholas picked out 3 of his favorite for me to read. Nine more days of school. I am so ready for summer vacation and not having to worry about bedtimes!!

I also had to replace all my old photo albums with acid free ones. I did that about 10 years ago. My computer files are in worse shape than my regular pictures right now. I have too many computers. Some are on CD's. It is nuts! I have lots of organization to do. That's part of the reason that I haven't start scrapping yet. Too much organization to do before I can even start.
I am like you and have pictures on cds and many computers, but I organized them. I still gotta sort through and work on labeling things, but it has made it pretty easy. But I recommend you download Picasa, it is a free program made by Google. There are some things I wish it would do but you get what you pay for. :rotfl:

It searches every file on your computer and finds every image and organizes it by the file it is under. It has basic editing software, makes a basic slideshow, allows you to reorganize pictures, name them, you can also upload them directly to a website so you can order prints from some of the big photo retailers. You can import pictures from a CD or if the computers are networked together you can get pictures from one to another to organize all of them. It is very helpful as it puts all of your pictures together and allows you to easily view them.

Denise, I am glad the surgery went well. Sending :wizard: for a speedy recovery.

Delinda, Happy Birthday

Vicki and Chuck, Have a Happy Birthday

Not until September 30th...which is probably going to be as busy as Spring Break because it seems that EVERYONE is going this week to take advantage of the free dining..

I got an email from Jennifer today saying she passed the NCLEX! :cheer2:

She also said they're having a good time! :goodvibes

For everyone buying shoes from Payless: Don't forget to ask if they take a AAA discount if your a member!!! 10% off! (Sometimes they let you take it off their BOGO specials..no harm in asking!)

This is one of my favorite discounts and they did let me use it for BOGO last month too! :thumbsup2

Thanks for the tip. I'll have to check that out. As soon as my office is organized (I'm making progress but slowly), that is my next project. Pictures both digital & printed!!!
