Rees' surgery is set for 10am Monday. We have to be at the hospital at 7:30am. John is going with us. Rees will hopefully get to come home on Tuesday. I have no idea if they have internet at the hospital, but John will have his Blackberry so I'll try to post. Do I need to change the skin to the mobile setting for this to work? If not, I will call someone to have them post for me.
Your family will be in our prayers. Hopefully you all have a nice week-end. :wizard:

So I have been trying oh so hard to sleep after I got home from work at 4:30pm, but it hasnn't been too successful. I have one last crazy work weekend and that is it as I refuse to work anymore, at the group home. I don't care what they tell me as I know the end is in sight.

This crazy noisy weather hasn't helped one bit. Thunderstormed badly last night and we lost electricity, so I didn't sleep well, has been thunderstorming again. It isn't right now, but they are calling for over an inch of rain an hour. Why can't we get normal rain instead of marathon rain, where it rains all weekend and won't rain for several weeks. :confused3

I know if I don't sleep know it will be after 4:30pm tomorrow when I can sleep again and then I must work from 12am to 8am on Sunday. When I know I must sleep I can't. I just gotta make it through to Sunday and then I have the day off and then have to survive running Bridging on Wednesday night and then for I have next Saturday and Sunday (my Birthday) off. I hope to go see Cars for my Birthday sometime that weekend.

I still have to figure out what I am doing June 25 to the 30th, does anyone has any suggestions. Anyone within a few hours of Berks County, PA wanna get together and do something? If so let me know.

Well all, alot has gone on since I was last here. I guess moving and getting married are the biggest. I no longer live in Ohio. I now live in North Carolina. We moved about 3 months ago. I just got married a week ago today. For the longest time I didn't have internet access so that was rough. Getting everyone settled, the kids in new schools, finding a house, things have been really crazy. We still don't have all our stuff moved...like I said, crazy!! I still won't be back on the DIS full time yet, but I should be able to pop in more often. I gotta lot of catching up to do. Hope everyone is doing well!!

Congrats, Gina!!! :bride: :lovestruc :groom:

Absolutely! The Storybook Land Canal Boats are one of my favorites. I love to ride it at dusk when the lights in the little cottages and castles are lit. It looks so magical!

I love the Matterhorn, too. It's always fun for a bumpy ride!
My kids loved the Matterhorn and storybook. I wanted to get the gold boat but they were the boat behind us. Have lots of fun. :sunny:

I hope your able to get some sleep. And :sunny: .

Sending Jennifer(Tink2020) lots of :sunny: and relaxation on your cruise and WDW trip. As for the webcams, there is almost one at every port the Disney boats go to. When the Magic crossed the Panama canal, it was a major deal on the cruise boards, as people watched it go through the various locks on the various webcams. I was one of those junkies at that time because I was in countdown mode for my cruise. Like 2 weeks after the Magic returned to Port Canaveral I got on the Wonder.

Lindsay sending lot of :sunny: and relaxation on your trip to Hawaii, although I think you are already there by now.

Denise congratulations on getting the milestone. I hope Davis and you are feeling better. Sending :wizard: to Rees for a smooth surgery and a quick recovery.

Gina welcome back, I hope all is well with you.

Delinda nice of you to stop by. I am glad your surgery went well, I hope you have a speedy recovery.

Jen(Blueeyes, sorry I can't recall the rest of your dis name) I hope you have a good weekend at the bike ride and I hope you have unrainy weather for it but not super hot weather so the riders are comfortable.

Kate and everyone else who may be feeling guilty for volunteering or not volunteering. It sounds like you are all awesome parents who are involved in your kids lives. Perhaps at times you don't feel you do enough, I feel that way quite often. You can only do so much without driving yourselves buggy, batty or whatever. Just strive to be as involved in your kids lives as you can be.

If you over stress yourself you are not going to do the best you can to take care of your kids. I grew up with two hyper involved in everything parents and they still are, at times I wish I would have had them to myself for a moment here and there. Don't get me wrong I spent tons of time with my parents, but just about everywhere we went they were involved in something. At times I wish they would have been sitting in the audience watching instead of running the food, the lights, the program, etc.

Hmmm, I wonder where I get my desire to be involved in everything. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:

It always is the same 20% who do 80% of the work, no matter what the situation. It is something I always try to remember when I get stressed or frustrated about something. No matter how hard I try to get others superinvolved it will probably fail as if they aren't alredy involved in something they won't end up hyperinvolved no matter how hard I try.

Sending congratulations, Birthday wishes, feel better to anyone who is sick. If I left someone if something out I apologize. I hope everyone is well.

A friend told me yesterday to put down all my books and stop reading because I have too many stressors in my life. She said she's had to do that a couple of times. I usually can read 2 or 3 chapters an hour right now I am at 10 pages so maybe she's right.
Hmmm.... perhaps that is why I have been unsuccessfully reading many books, as I am not focused enough to read them. If I don't focus I don't understand them as I have comprehension issues unless I focus on one thing at a time which rarely happens.

I need more time for this :artist: , I hope it comes soon. As I am quitting my one job and Girl Scouts is almost over for the year. I have been doing plenty of :artist: but not for myself as I still gotta repaint the broken flowerpot.

Denise - I noticed you posted about resort changing...in case you didn't see it on another board, the date for the end of the free dining promo has been changed from the 4th to the 25th. Gives you a little more time to think about it.

Please pray for Phil right now. I don't know what is going on as I'm at work, but he sounds like he is on the verge of a total breakdown. It is being caused in part because some combination of the high calcium and Vitamin D they had him taking has been keeping him so drowsy for over a week that he can barely function. Now he seems to have come to the end of his rope over these feelings. Luckily, he is of good enough mind that he has made an appointment for this afternoon with a psychologist. For now, I just need him to get himself and Terra into the city and to me safely. He won't be driving so there isn't a danger there, but they can get to me faster than I can get to them and I think time is of the essence as too relieve as much stress as possible as soon as possible. He has asked me to go to the doctor with him so hopefully I can help convey what has been going on lately if he can't. Thank you for any prayers and pixie dust you can spare as this is all a little scary.
Sending :wizard: and :grouphug: to you, Phil, and Terra. I hope all is well and worked out by now. I now how scary that type of thing can be and how quickly behaviors can change. I hope all went well for you today.

Hi all. Sorry for the delay in posting, but Terra and I just got home a little while ago. Phil's appointment was semi-successful. The primary thing they did was increase his anti-depressant dosage. The also suggested a nother type of medication, but it has both of us a little nervous. I think that since my parents will be here to take Terra next week if needed we're going to give it a few days to see how things pan our before deciding on the new meds. It seems that the extreme dosage of Vitamin D that the doctor prescribed last week is at least part of the culprit. He took the first pill yesterday and within 12 hours was sinking quickly and deeply into a depression. Now that we are 24 hours past that pill, he is doing increasingly better. The current plan is to talk to the doctor again on Monday before taking another Vitamin D next week. For now, I am just praying that Phil at least stays where he is now or, even better, improves. Past that, I just pray that the way is paved for us to move sooner rather than later, but whatever happens I trust that it is for the best.

Thank you all again for your continued prayers. It means the world to me and really brought me peace this morning as I waited impatiently for Phil and Terra to get into town. You all are the best. :grouphug:

Thanks for the update. I'm keeping all of you in my prayers for the time being. I'm glad that things are settled for the time being. Keep us posted on how things go with the meds.

Depression is an awful beast! I have suffered from it my entire adult life. It has never been that bad for me. When I'm in a depression, I just tend to hide from everyone. My friends and family have learned to recognize when I have forgotten to take my meds for too many days. It isn't easy for anyone that has to deal with it including the family & friends of the person suffering!

Hey everyone! Thanks to my FANTASTIC husband, I had a few minutes to catch up!!

In mid-May ..... we bought a house!!! I didn't mention it here because of all the bumps we hit along the way with the mortgage. I was terrified something else was going to go wrong, so I didn't really want to focus on it much (anymore than I already was IRL). Even until today, we hadn't got a straight answer on our closing information. Pretty much, people are stupid. When we set a closing target date (June 9th), it was suggested by the people involved, knowing darn well about our trip. Now all of a sudden they are freaking out that we won't be accessible up until the day before.... so I'm a little nervous.

We did finally hear this morning that we have an appointment set up for the 9th at 10:00am. My mortgage guy was working his butt off to have everthing finalized a week early (today) so that he would not have to contact us at all during the cruise (and make us spend even more money and time trying to communicate via email). We're still waiting on his call, but I know he's doing his best. And the financing was preapproved, so there shouldn't be any problems... but it will be nice to know it's 100% completed and awaiting our return.

So I'm supposed to have my entire house packed, plus the cruise stuff (and hope they don't get mixed up), plus take this test this morning, take my sister's homeschool team to their Olympic day (which thankfully got rained out and rescheduled  ) so I was pretty much pulling my hair out yesterday.

But while I was gone, Kyle got up early and packed virtually EVERYTHING here for the house!!!!!!!!!!!!! He's great :teeth: So I have a few errands to run, and need to double check the cruise stuff, but then I should be all set.

So if you want to continue praying, just pray that we have no surprises waiting for us when we come back. It's still a little scary knowing that we come back less than 12 hours when we're supposed to meet, and who knows what could happen before then!!!! We're pretty thrilled about the house though.

So that's that. I'll check in again either later tonight or tomorrow morning before we leave. Talk to you then!

Way to go Dr Kyle!! Congratulations to you both on the house!!!! That is such great news. You will have our continued prayers that the whole process goes smoothly.

One of the nicest things about this trip is that we won't even have to step foot in Toontown! I just can't like that area! It makes me dizzy! Don't know why! I'm willing to endure it for the kids, but I won't do it if I don't have to. I am planning on some time in Fantasyland, though. I enjoy all the dark rides!

We leave for DL at 5:00 Sunday morning. Our plan is to drive through, stopping in Vegas for lunch and a run into the Disney outlet store, and then on to our hotel. We have ressies at Rainforest Cafe at 7:30 in the evening, so I'm hoping we get there early enough to shop in DD as there are several items I need to pick up. I can't wait!!!!! I'm so excited to be going with Alan and no kids. We did this on our honeymoon, and had such a great time! It will be nice to do it again, now!

Wow, it's that time already! In case I miss you tomorrow...have a great trip!!! You're going to have such a good time and I'm sure it's a much needed adult break. Enjoy!
