I thought you all might want some more installments!!

Day 3 - May 20

We finished our Segway and decided to get Soarin' FPs and then to Figment where we sent you all the picture -

Tammi and I decided to go check out the TT line and Kristine wanted to walk around WS

Tammi and I took this time to also check out the character topiaries - which you can see in our pictures - they were beautiful - Minnie Mouse's buttefly garden and Cinderella and Prince Charming Dancing were my favorite

When we reached TT the single rider line was 25 minutes long - since we needed to be at Tepanyaki in about half an hour - this wouldn't work - so we headed off around WS to Japan

Our ADR was for Noon - and we got there with a few minutes to spare - the restaurant was just opening so we got to see the whole crew come out and "open" the restaurant - everyone who works in the restaraunt came out in the lobby and welcomed us -

we then were seated with a couple who was drinking their way around the world and a family - their daughter Allison was 6 and sat with us and it was her birthday - we had a great time and really enjoyed the lunch - the food was FABULOUS and I would highly reccomend the restaurant!!

Since we had walked around opposite sides of WS to get to Tepanyaki - we went in opposite directions when we left the restaurant -

Tammi and I took the time for some character interaction - Alyssa wanted her mommy to say Hi to Mary Poppins and of course Julia wanted me to see Belle for her - we stopped in France and got to see Beast, Belle and Aurora - Belle and Aurora decided that they wanted to join us on our next girls weekend!! and the Desperate Princesses popped in my head! :rotfl2:

We headed to England and Mary wasn't out yet - but Pooh, Tigger and Eeyore were - so we got our pictures with them - as I walked up Tigger started bouncing and I said - Oh - do I need to bounce to be in your picture - and started bouncing up and down with Tigger - he LOVED it!!!!!!!!! He gave me a BIG SMOOCH making kissing sounds the whole time we got our picture taken - it was pretty funny and as we walked out the back of the building - her was watching out the window!!!! It was very funny!!

Tammi searched everywhere for a Mary Poppins doll but had no luck - so she got Alyssa a pin and then we bought a gift pin (the card back said to and from) an so she put the MP pin on it and took it back to MP to sign for Alyssa - which was a huge hit when she got home

then we were off to Soarin' - which is always a great ride!! This is where I found out how high maintenance Tammi is :lmao: - we got in line and she didn't want to sit in rows 2 or 3 - so we told the lady we had problems with feet :teeth: and so she sent us down to row 1 in the next section - but then we were on the end and then tammi wanted to be in the middle!!! But even on the side - it still was great!!

We headed over to character connection - Kristine called and she was headed back to the room for a rest! - I think I liked the bus better but it was nice to walk down the line and get the pictures taken all at once -

All the characters loved PM and interacted with him differently - Mickey was happy to see him - Minnie kissed on him - Goofy wasn't thrilled to see him but let him in the picture - Donald refused to let him be in the picture - Chip and Dale played with him and Pluto acted like he was seeing his best friend!!

Then Tammi and I headed over and got our free Visa pictures - Donald and Mickey were in the room - that is where we were kissing on them!!! :love1:

After we got our pictures printed - I dropped Tammi off at the hotel and then headed to DTD - do you know how NICE it is to walk around the shops without kids in tow?!?!?!

A couple of hours later I picked Kristine and Tammi up at the Hotel and we headed to Beaches and Cream for Dinner - the food and atmosphere are wonderful there!!!!! We sat at the counter and got to see them make two kitchen sinks - the lady next to us offered to share hers with us but it really didn't look too great - but she swears it was FABULOUS!! The second one was for a bunch of kids and they pretty much devoured it!!

then we headed to the MK for Spectro and Wishes - We watched wishes under Tinks wire and I can promise you -that Tink was a girl!!!!!!!! :lmao: Tammi and I had really wanted to see since there have been some recent DIS debates about this!!

When Wishes was over we headed to the HM (Kristine had headed back to the hotel) - walking out of the HM Tammi wanted to see the Ring - so we were looking for it but it was hard in the dark!! I asked a CM - where is the Ring? his answer was "in the ground" I said "I know that but where" we tried to look for it but couldn't see it in the dark - as we were looking people stopped to see what was going on - one lady said "what are looking for?" and stopped to help us look - he answered "the ring" and she started babbling on about what kind of ring was it - we were laughing and he told her - the ring from the bride - its part of the story - she looked at us like the 3 of us were going CRAZY and headed on her way

so he went to get us a flashlight -

he was gone for a while and then returned with his flashlight and we saw the ring - and Tammi had the same reaction I had the first time I saw it - "That's it?!!?" :teeth:

so we talked with the CM about the story behind the ring and then Tammi asked "so what other good stuff do you have to tell us?"

he answered "what do you want to know" Tammi asked him about the "yellow pee stained streets" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: he didn't know anything and then asked if we wanted to know anything else - Tammi told him if we knew what we wanted to know we wouldn't have to ask!! We left him giggling like school girls and decided to add him to our list of CMs that had made our trip magical

but how could we remember Dan's name?

Tammi's solution:

"Dan Dan the Haunted Mansion Man!!!" :teeth:

We then headed over to Splash - Tammi had never been on it - we got on at just about 11:00 and were one of the last rides of the night - we got stuck inside for about 5 minutes - thankfully they cut the music!!

We then walked out through an empty MK and Tammi wondered about what it would be like to hang out in the MK once it closes - but I couldn't convince her to give it a try!!! Tammi -I took Kristine's advice and read Kingdom Keepers on the plane ride home - you might want to check it out - it might answer your question!!!

We went back to the hotel and headed to bed for the night!!! EXHAUSTED!!

I have great news for light transfer paper!!!!

I bought a glossy overlay from ebay (the same person I bought the paper from) that I put on over the light transfer - and I made a night shirt with it - I am happy to tell you that it came out of the wash looking great!!! I will post pictures soon!!!

Off to put the girls in bed. A little PD please that Bethie doesn’t get up as many times as she did last night. :bitelip: After about 2 a.m. :crazy:I just put her in bed with me. WOW it is time for a :drinking:Monster drink :hyper:. I need to make it a few more hours.
:wizard: for mommy as well as Bethie. You need rest along with Bethie. :wizard:

Yep, 3 out of my 4 started throwing up. I have now covered their beds in neet sheets(makes easier to clean up as opposed to bedding). And of all the timing my little Bissel shampooer broke. At least I got most of the carpet spots cleaned up first. Our vacuum cord also broke off our expensive heavy duty tristar vacuum. :confused3 I must be too hard on my cleaning appliances, though to look at our house you wouldn't think so. :rotfl2:
:wizard: I hope Jacob's all better and noone else gets it.
:wizard: I hope Bethie's fever goes away soon without anymore problems.

I always find that appliances all break at the most inopportune(sp) time.

Does this mean you get new vacuum and shampooer? I love vacuuming!! Though like you my place doesn't look like it. :lmao:

So all in all I thought today was a pretty good day in our house. I spent the morning catching up here, putting together the cub scout order and typing up Nick's Maple Sugaring outline. I also vacuumed through the house and got a ton of laundry done (tomorrow I might even get it put away). I felt so relieved tonight that I sat down with my family to watch Harry Potter 4. I thought the movie was good, but so much detail was missing from the book. Nick and I we constantly pointing out things that the movie missed.

So I spoke to my Mother around 9 PM. Apparently my SIL who lives next door to us and whose son I babysit was complaining yet again. She can't understand how I am home all day everyday and never get anything done :confused3 ***!! I get stuff done every day, she may not "see" what I've done, but truthfully it in none of her business. She also complained that we haven't mowed inside our picket fence and there is dog poop in there. Duh, Hello, it has been raining. I never asked he to walk through the backyard, we have a front door. She should use it and quit her b1tching. There are times we will be at one of the kids activities and come home to our lawn having been mowed. Mind you we did not ask and the lawn wasn't bothering us. Mom says that she mentioned the my parent's lawn needs to be mowed too. They mowed it less than a week ago. She is crossing a line and I will not be biting my tongue much longer. I don't want issues, but I won't be stepped on either. They have 2 kids and neither of them do any activities other than the oldest going to school. They have every evening and weekend to do things like mow the lawn. We are lucky to have one evening per week to be home. I feel bad for the kids as they really need to experience extra curricular activities. Ok, I'm stepping off my soap box now.

Hopefully Colby will sleep better tonight and Paula will hopefully get some sleep tonight too.

Deb
Wow. I think she needs to appreciate you watching her son and shutup. It drives me nuts when people do that. It lookes like I got nothing done today in our house but I actually took care of 3 sick kids, washed a ton of puked on bedding and cleaned a ton off the carpets. Of course with keeping up on all the sicky cleaning, I didn't do regular cleaning. :confused3 It's your house and lawn not hers. And you guys are heavily involved in your 3 son's activities. :cheer2: :cheer2: You're a great mom and talented at so many things. I couldn't imagine pulling a whole campout together like you did or the wonderful costumes you come up with. You're SIL is probably secretly jealous of all your talents.
:wizard: I hope you and Colby get some rest tonight.

I hope you don’t mind that I did this, but I was so confused with the different posts of me here I there and so on. This way we might be able to go with a majority rules.

Once we narrow it down or toss out a few months, then I will look for all the different rates that it could be. Such as off season times (Jan – Mar- or late Sep to just before Thanksgiving are cheaper times) This past Jan the AP rate for the DL hotel was 89.00 per night, off site could have been much lower.

I vote for Bite Me. She would think that I was complimenting her parenting if I tried the other approach. She really thinks that she is the best mom in the world. I assure you she's not. They won't even take their kids to WDW :scared1: As they have been before and can't see what the hype is about. Their daughter has been with us and always teases to go back with us. They prefer to take separate adult vacations, usually not with each other. I just don't get it.

Deb
:badpc: Who doesn't want to take their kids on vacations? And separate Adult Vacations? Do they have separate Bedrooms too? :confused3 I could see taking a few getaways with DH but I would still also want to take my kids on family vacations. I guess everyone is different.

I was going to say goodnight, but Bethie just got up.
It's hard to hold a kid and type.
Maybe it's her teeth, she has been putting them in her mouth a lot the past few days. And a fever going up and down? I vote teeth.
Motrin for her in hopes that she sleeps the rest of the night.

Probably a new shampooer but our vacuum was a heavy duty canister one cost a couple thousand dollars when we bought it years ago from a sales rep. that came to our house. :guilty: So DH is gonna see if we can get it fixed inexpensively or I would end up with an inexpensive upright from the store.

Thanks Paula for putting the chart together. There are a few months that seem to catch the majority. I think off season times would be better due to crowds and prices. Although we went at 2 crowded times August and week before Christmas and didn't seem to notice. Must be the magic. :cloud9: We did notice in the prices as we couldn't afford even the cheapest Disney hotel PP at those times.

My kids used to spike a fever and get cranky when teething. Definite vote for Motrin. Do you have any of that anbesol type stuff you can rub on her gums for the discomfort? I know there's also a homeopathic teething tablets you can get at the store. You put them under their tongue and they dissolve and help with the discomfort as well.

I've learned not to promise anything about trips. The DC trip is on hold due to the new findings with Rees. We've had to cancel the kids b'day party on June 10 and it will be in mid July now. and if he needs surgery, the trip is off due to recovery and money. It may be off due to money anyway. I will keep y'all posted.

Question for all you ebayers out there...I found someone with a "make offer" on their buy it now screen...If a shirt was 9.99 do you think 7.50 is a good asking price? I don't want to look too cheap...but if I buy two shirts the difference will pay for the shipping...or should I go less?

I say be cheeky! I just ordered some diary pages for my filofax from a guy with a buy it now of 9.99 so I made an offer of 5.00 thinking I could work up from there and he took it!

Deb, tell your sister in-law to zip it. Of course I am being nice here, I wouldn't when telling her. Also glad to hear that your finger is getting better.

Paula, hope both you and Bethie got some sleep last night.

Thanks! Looks like I will miss it.

We need to remember to compare our park schedules so that sometime that week we can meet each other. Surely over a 3-4 day time our paths will cross.
