I have some great news (great for me) I found a shirt for my formal uniform!!!! SIL found it and sent it. Now all I need it my medals to arrive and I will look so fabulous!!!

My washer and dryer keep spewing clothes, but they don't get back in the dressers. I don't get it?


I guess I should take 15 minutes before bed and do something with the ever growing pile.

So the 18th is almost here. I'm sure that all the travellers are busily packing and finishing up last minute things. I hope you all have wonderful weather and a marvelous trip. Take lots of pictures and keep up updated. I can't wait for the trip reports. I expect that you will all give us a personalized trip report just to make sure that everyone was on the same trip


Anyone that has seen the weather and news reports this week know that New England has taken it pretty hard with the never ending rain. Many towns around us are underwater and lots of evacuations have been made. We thankfully live in a higher area and our property has a lot of gravel so we are not having difficulties here with flooding or water in our basement. It is quite depressing though to have had rain everyday, all day for over a week. Today the sun did shine a bit, but it is raining again now. I haven't even emptied our camper from last weekend as I don't want to do it in the rain. I've been bringing in wet laundry daily in hopes to some day get it all washed.
I have been suffering from unexplained pain this week too. I had incredible pain in my right arm yesterday and really couldn't use my arm at all. The night before my right leg had some pain. I was going to the doctors this morning if things weren't better, but I woke up feeling much better. Periodically throughout the day I have had pain in either arm and my legs. I am thinking that this must be some kind of weird viral thing as I haven't done anything to injure myself. I never thought that I would say I'm glad I'm not going to Disney soon, but the way I've been feeling would not make for an enjoyable trip.

But hey I can celebrate finishing right?? It's DH's birthday today, poor thing has to spend the day digging out our garden!

Well, I just zipped up my suitcase and I am ready to go, except for the last minute things tomorrow. I wanted to say thanks to everyone for all of the good wishes. I know we are going to have a great time. We will take LOTS of pictures and I packed a notepad so I can take notes for our trip report. There is only one thing that I am dreading....the HEAT!! It's supposed to be in the low 90s.

I haven't posted much but I've been keeping up. Great pictures of the food, party, shirts. Clare, congrats on getting your assignments finished. I'm sure that is quite a relief. Deb, I hope you get some sunshine soon. Get to the doctor too. Vicki, I can't wait to meet PM. I might just have to come back with one (for my kids, of course ). Paula, take it easy on the staples while we are gone. Amy, good luck with the open house. Denise, prayers for Rees. If I've forgotten anyone, I apologize. Hugs and PD to everyone. Thank you for all your supportive comments about our house and about Libby too! She's still limping a bit, but she's definitely putting more weight on her paw, so I'm confident I only sprained her a bit. This morning, when the window guy showed up to replace a couple of our screens, she even tried to jump all over him, so she's almost back to her old self.

I did have a bit of a scare today though. I've been having what I self-diagnosed as braxton hicks since Monday, but this afternoon I noticed some blood in my urine. I didn't panic, but poor Kevin dropped everything at work to take me to the doctor, and it wasn't easy to find a babysitter with a half-hour's notice (Alyssa was napping). Luckily, everything seems fine (blood pressure, not dialated, etc.) but the doctor's pretty sure I have a bladder infection. They're running some tests, and I'll probably have another pill to pop by week's end. She also said the braxton hicks are most likely correlated.

I'm so relieved that I'm not on bedrest and that Matthew isn't joining us just yet, but this definitely made me realize we need a plan when it comes to Alyssa's care and maybe I should just go ahead and pack a bag too.

So, that was my day! I'm looking forward to just sitting back and watching American Idol and Lost tonight.

I hope Marti, Paul, Matt, Kristine, Tammi, Kate, Bernadette, and your kiddos have a great weekend!

YIPPEE for you! I am so glad that you got your shirt. What a nice thing for your SIL to do for you. Now we need the pixie dust for those medals to arrive... how many are there?!?!?

Sounds like lots of our DDA sisters need pixie dust again. Where the heck are those fairies and who is getting all their dust? I sure hope things improve for everyone in pain, sorrow or turmoil. I could sit here and list you all, but know that I am thinking of you and list you all when I do that

Kristin got her grades last night and I am delighted for her. Five "A's" and one "B." That means Dean List again this semester. And even more important to our finances, the continuation of her scholarship!

Yes...I just don't know how someone in the Nat'l Honor Society, can have absolutely NO common sense!!

We had a girl like that in high school. She was extremely intelligent and a total airhead. But she was sweet.
