What other interesting things has Cassidy told you?
My goddaughter told her mother once that she needed to call uncle Mark (my DH) because he was very sad. She wouldn't let it go untill they called him.
It was the same day the DH and I got into it over the phone while he was on a trip. I found this very very interesting.

Cassidy has always been an awesome judge of character (except one or two friends, but we won't go into that :teeth: ). We took her to a photographer(15 months old) and no matter what he or I did she cried and cried, he was a mean man and he didn't even have to open his mouth and she knew it. I am a big believer that some people, espescially kids, "hear" stuff we don't. As we get older we seem to not believe in that stuff anymore so we stop hearing it.

Could you please spell it out for me? so when I say it I say it right. Thank you. :)

Well, since we are talking about names.....

I was named after a friend of my dad...His last name was Channon. He owned a store in Chagrin Falls called "Channon Office Supply" and Mom finally agreed.

Yes, I was named after an office supply store.

Hello Jo :wave2:

How are the moving plans coming?? Do you know yet which direction you will be heading when you get here??

Wow, Deb, talk about making lemonade out of the lemons you were handed! Good job! Sounds like you all had a good time. What ever happened with the food assignments? I hope you didn't have to stress too much while you were there.

I'm not really sure who made extra, but there were definitely more dishes there than what had been signed up for. We had plenty of food although the dessert dishes (there was alot) seemed to go fast. It was really nice and we had plenty of hamburgers and hot dogs left over. We can use them at our end of year picnic on June 3rd :teeth:

Hope everyone had a good Mother's Day. I broke my Mother's Day gift Davis made me on the way out of school Friday. They had painted flower pots (Ed Emberly finger art). He and I both stood in the parking lot of school crying. So, his teacher gave me the paint and today Davis and I painted a new flower pot together. Then they all painted a water dish for it to sit in. It was fun. Went out Friday night (they had a parent's night out at Karate) and John and I saw MI3. I was surprised how good it was. And I can't stand Tom Cruise now, but, DANG, did he look FINE!!!!!!!!! And he rode a motorcycle like in Top Gun (flash back to 1986).

Tomorrow is the kid's graduation from pre-school and then we have Rees' IEP meeting at the Elem School (very formal legal proceeding) at 2:30pm. So wish me luck. It'll be a big day for us.

Talk to y'all soon.

Good luck Denise. Enjoy your babies first graduation ceremony. Where did the time go? :wizard: :wizard:

Oh, and Pal Mickey from Deb is a HUGE hit at our house. They fight over him every night with who gets him in bed. So PM is on a rotating schedule. The only problem is Rees is having a hard time pressing the hands because of the CP. He's very frustrated that he can't play the games better. I think a PM may be a gift on our next trip in Sept!

Oh, and PM has a new t-shirt that says "Donald Duck #1!" :rotfl:

Colby will love you forever. Donald Duck is his new Favorite Character. When asked who his favorite character is he always says Mickey's not my Favorite Character, Donald Duck is :rotfl:

I hope everyone had a wonderful Mothers Day!!! I know I did. It started with breakfast in bed and fresh flowers. Then we all went to church.......Austin received his state bible drill award, Alex sang with the childrens choir, then at the end of the service Alex went down front to say he has been saved and asked to be baptised!!!! What a Sunday!!! Then everyone came over to my house for lunch and lounging by the pool. It was my husband + 4 kids + their 2 spouses + 3 grandkids + my parents + my brother his wife and their 3 kids + my aunt/uncle and her 2 kids + their spouse + their daughter. Let's see.....that makes it 24. All the men got together and planned the menu, cooked or bought the food and even cleaned it up. We had bbq ribs, corn on the cob, cole slaw, potato salad, baked beans, garlic bread, sweet tea, diet coke, chocolate cream pie, lemon pie, turtle pie. All of the mom's sat in the living room and relaxed while the men prepared the meal. We all agreed that there was going to be hell to pay come Fathers Day but we didn't care because we were enjoying our day at the moment.

All the dad's already made their Fathers Day request.......black angus ribeyes, marinated mushrooms, baked potatoes and salad with all the topppings.

This probably explains why I have a weight problem. My family looooooves food.

Lynn

Sound like a wonderful day was had by all Lynn :thumbsup2

If eating cake is wrong, I don't want to be right (that popped in my head when I read this - variation on the If loving you is wrong song). :lmao:

I thought this too, :lmao: at first, and then remembered there have been 3 cakes and lots of ice cream around my house this week, I don't need anymore cake.......I always get cake burnout by the 15th of the May every year. I swore when Abi was born that Jim would not get a cake but every year somebody makes him one anyway!!

Baby Names: I have a friend that was born on Christmas, there last name is Kane so she was named Holiday Kane. There dogs have Christmassy names too. One was Jingle and I can't remember the other off the top of my head.

We named Nicholas because we just like the name and his middle name David is my Dad's first name. We wanted something unique for our second and the name Hunter was not widely used then (it has been since though) and his middle name is my maiden name Raymond. When we were expecting the third I liked the name Cole and Nicholas was dead set that his name was to be Billy. We compromised and came up with Colby by merging the 2 names. We figured we could nickname him Cole or Billy or both, which has never happened :teeth: . His middle name is Christopher after dh.

It sounds like everyone had a wonderful weekend!!

My dad invited us for dinner and we decided not to tell my mom - my brother told her he was out of town - my SIL told her she would stop by and see her sometime but that was all my mom thought

so we got there at 4:30 my brother was running late and Julia was doing a really good job keeping the secret - my mom had babysat her the day before, we had brunch with her and went shopping and Julia never spilled the beans - as soon as we got there Julia HAD to give my mom her present - which was from all 4 of my mom's kids-
so Julia says "this is from me!" and
I said "NO - tell her who is it from"
Julia looked at me and whispered "it's a SECRET!!!"
I told her she could say who it was from
so she says - "it is from Uncle David - and he's COMING!!!"
it was so cute - once she said his name she just couldn't keep the secret another second - which was fine since it was so cute how she said it!!!
