I can’t believe I forgot to tell you all this (yes :) I got out of bed to tell you) I was on the base shopping tonight and saw the REAL Crocks!!! They range from $20-$24 and all in solid colors, they have the flip flop type also. If anyone wants a pair send me a pm and I will check for your size/color. Oh and the base store does not have tax, what it says on the sticker is what you pay.

Thank you for the PM’s. I will be going to the base off and on the next few days/week so if you need to go to the store and try them on… go right ahead.

I will take my checklist of requests every time I go and update it as things change. So don’t feel like you need to have your request TODAY, because you don’t. And the inventory changes all the time, so I will be checking a lot.

If you have a request, just PM me and I will keep you all updated

Good Evening DDA --

This is my FFFFFAF (Fun Filled Facts For Friends and Family) for the night. Or maybe it's a PSA, except that it is REALLY not useful information at all. So maybe it's neither. Anyway....

Hugh Jackman (specifically as Curly in Oklahoma!, believe it or not) has just joined Colin Firth (specifically as Mark Darcy in the BBC mini-series of Pride and Prejudice) at the top of my list of "British Actors I On Whom I have a Completely Intractable Crush"

That's all, sorry for wasting your time. I'll go back and catch up now :rotfl:

ETA: I guess I should clarify that yes, I know Hugh Jackman was actually born in Australia. But his parents were British, I saw him in a London production, and I think he (maybe) lives there now? Either way, it was the shortest title I could come up with for my list ;) No offense was intended to Clare, anyone who lived in the UK OR in Australia, etc. Please, just don't mind me :teeth:

Hmmmm....I could definitely agree with that one. I love Hugh Jackman!

I have two blankets to finish for Ellie’s school so I will check in later today.

Happy Wednesday Everyone!

(no signs today….yet)

:wizard: your day got better.

Oh and over here we say "For Pete's sake!"

I found this nice little explanation on the net:

: : : : : : How did the saying "For Pete's Sake" come from?
: : : : : Biblical origins. Think of St Peter. Think of the omnipresent medieval church and think of hitting your thumb with a hammer. You can't swear, else the local priests will have you up before the Bishop and the Lord alone knows what the outcome of that will be, so you exclaim, in appropriate tone of voice, "For Saint Peter's sake" and carry on erecting the shelves. This phrase was amended to "For Pete's Sake" in later, less religiously oppressive, times.

Very cool! I've wondered about that! Now I can go on to the next thing on my list! Seriously, this is really neat! I would never have thought about going to the internet to research it.

Thanks, Clare!

WooHoo! Way to go, Elin!!! That's fantastic!

Okay, all you Croc lovers,

I am now addicted!!! I bought a pair of Airwalks from Payless (all they had was black in adult sizes), and an original Beach pair from Dick's in pearl last weekend. I love them! They are ugly as all get out, but I have been wearing them at home, and in my office when I'm just sitting at my desk or going out to my printer, etc. I have a really hard time with foot cramps from running around in heels all day, so I thought I would see if these helped at all. So far, no cramps since I've started wearing them whenever/wherever I can!

So, now you experts need to help me. Besides Paula (I might be PM'ing you!), where can I find Crocs at a decent price (cheaper than the $29.99 retail)? It seems like you guys were talking about sites a while ago that had them for a lot cheaper, and I just wasn't paying attention at the time. Help me - I need more!! :rotfl2: :rotfl: :rotfl2: :rotfl:

Yes I did and I can't wait either!!

I wish milk would go on sale here (it's price controlled or something like that). I pay $4.80+ for a gallon of milk.

I usually watch Letterman but if Tom was on last night thank goodness I fell asleep before it came on. I can't stand him anymore. YUCK!!!!!

Everyone send me good vibes that I make it through another crazy day. We will be rushing around from 12pm to 7-8pm. Yesterday I came home with elephant ankles I was so swollen. I've also done something to my foot so I'm hobbling around a bit.

:wizard: and :grouphug: to all that need them!

Dawn, you take care of yourself! Swollen ankles are no good for you right now! Do some resting and let someone else take care of the craziness for a while!

I feel the same way about Tom Cruise. He's completely mental!

For those of you have seen Fantasmic at WDW and DL, is it the same or is it different? I am guessing it is different but have not seen the DL verision, so I am curious. Thank you in advance.

Someone may have already answered, but since this is my favorite show I'll answer anyway. :teeth:

Biggest difference: seating! DL is along River's of America and you stand along the walkways in Frontierland/New Orleans Square. It is VERY crowded and you often have to get there super early to have a decent spot (unless of course you know "Tia's super secret awesome spot with very little wait").

Biggest difference in the show: DL has a sailing tall ship along with the riverboat on it's MK river. This is used for a Peter Pan scene (really cool!) instead of the Pocahontas. Also, there are Pinnochio and Dumbo scenes added to the series of dancing animals, flowers, etc.

Questionable difference: The size of the riverboat. I have heard a lot of people say the DL boat is bigger. That may be true, but to me it seems more like you are just closer to it at DL and that the backdrop (Tom Sawyer's island as opposed to the "mountain" at WDW) is shorter.

Funniest difference: I'm sorry, but the dragon just looks like it is made out of trash bags at DL. Doesn't detract at all, but just cracks me up. My friend used to run lights for DL's show and thanks to her I can never forget things like that.

Cool difference: I love walking on Tom Sawyer Island and seeing the spots for the difference lifts and props.

I personally really like both shows. I really like the Peter Pan segment at DL, but overall prefer the experience of the WDW show. That said, I will never miss a showing of either when in the vicinity.
