I'll dig out some before and during pics... we don't really have "after" ones yet as it's not quite finished... I know that because I still wouldn't describe it as gorgeous just yet

I knew you meant the same candy (essentially). I just wanted to try those to see if they taste different. For one, your Cadbury chocolate is MUCH better than ours. Not even the same class of chocolate. That is, except for the Mini Eggs at Easter. Those are my all-time favorite Easter Candy, so when I saw those in the aisle I bought some. Everyone said they were much better, richer chocolate, blah blah blah....... but I like our crappy version MUCH better!

But I didn't know they changed the name to Starburst... then my guess is JJ's won't carry the "international version"

Kate and Denise - much PD to you and your little ones. Not being able to help them is one of the hardest tasks a parent must endure, I think.

Denise - sorry to hear about your DH's car. Mine died on the way home from work this morning and our news is not good... it will cost close to $1400 to repair it! Unfortunately we just sent the last payment on Kristin's college bill. That $1400 is going to be hard to come by....

Lindsay - glad your old assistant is willing to come help you out over the summer.

Jen - congrats on finishing your junior year. And I am sorry you have to worry so much about your friend. That is a sad story.

I suppose I am missing something very important in this all-encompassing post, but I am having the same problems that Tammi is with the DIS today/tonight. It continually does not want to load. Maybe it is Cox????

Hugh Jackman hey? Wolverine from Xmen- yes very cute!

I'm not a big Colin Firth fan although I do think he's quite tasty as Mr Darcy in Bridget Jones Diary... am I the only person who thinks it's great that that book is based on Pride and Prejudice and that Colin Firth plays Mr Darcy in both...

Oh and no offence caused by me - you just keep up the UK guys appreciation society

Well that's just the thing. Colin Firth, not so much. ANY Darcy he plays? Irresistable. In fact, Pride and Prejudice is one of my favorite novels EVER..... and now I can't watch any other version now, because he IS Mr. Darcy -- in any form.

I also adore the Bridget Jones books. I read them all when the movies were coming out, and a few times since. Also some of my favorite movies.... I laugh out loud during them still!

In the book, did you know Bridget interviews Colin Firth about the P&P series? That's the reason I bought the mini-series DVDs! To see what all the fuss was about

They didn't quite know how to handle that since he was in the movie as Darcy, so they cut out the scene. But on the bonus features (of 2: The Edge of Reason, I think?) Rene Zellweger stays in character and interviews "Colin Firth". It's hysterical!

So I have a rather large bur up my ---- where the sun doesn’t shine. My day started fine, I got out of bed a bit late, posted a pic of Tyra the dog and off to school we went. No problem.

Then I got back home and started some embroidery and I got my thumb under the screw that holds the needle. That hurt like a banchie and I broke the skinny little needle. (&^(&^)%*&_+_%#$#!) Ok, it hurt I have a nice pretty indent in my thumb as well as skin missing, but I will be ok.

Off to sew down a few things and what does this not so smart female do? For the love of Pete! (side note… Why do we want Pete to love us? Or why do we love Pet? I don’t know any Pete, but for some reason I have a love for him. Anyone else have this question?) She put the SAME thumb under the ()*&%$@ screw of this )*&^*&$^^@ machine. Two different machines and I do the same &O^*&$$#! thing to the same thumb.

And the rest of the day I had dim-witted things happen left and right.

Paula - I'm wishing you a better day today than yesterday!

This is my FFFFFAF (Fun Filled Facts For Friends and Family) for the night. Or maybe it's a PSA, except that it is REALLY not useful information at all. So maybe it's neither. Anyway....

Hugh Jackman (specifically as Curly in Oklahoma!, believe it or not) has just joined Colin Firth (specifically as Mark Darcy in the BBC mini-series of Pride and Prejudice) at the top of my list of "British Actors I On Whom I have a Completely Intractable Crush"

ETA: I guess I should clarify that yes, I know Hugh Jackman was actually born in Australia. But his parents were British, I saw him in a London production, and I think he (maybe) lives there now? It's all over the boards, unfortunately. SSR, Mission:Space, staying off-site.... all things that should never cause such arguments Some people have too much time on their hands, or like to stir the pot. Who knows.... I dont think I'd get much joy from some of their lives

I hope you didn't take my post that way! I really do think it's great to have both. I wasn't saying they shouldn't do that, or that people shouldn't be allowed to choose one or the other.

I just have written replies and deleted them so many times on some of the threads about shutting it down. The soap box I mentioned is ONLY about personal responsibility, and not at ALL about whether people choose for themselves to ride rides or not.

I don't read and post on the other boards as much as I used to because it seems like so many people are just looking for a fight. It's sad really, and lots of posters have noticed.

It's a common bond. I'll never forget with my first how naive I was I wanted all-natural blah blah. So we picked a hospital bithing center that didn't offer epidurals cause we weren't going to use them. 20 some hours into labor I begged to be airlifted to a hospital with anesthesia. They said no. But to this day my mom lectures me on how I behaved then. Now if maybe someone HAD told me what it was like I would have had a back up plan in case the natural breathing thing didn't work.

I was terrified of the epidural so I wanted to see (as things progressed) if the pain was worse or the fear of the epidural. I never said I wouldn't get one, I just wanted to see how things went.

As they were trying to get labor going after about 6 hours at the hospital we heard a woman screaming "Oh God help me" "somebody please help me" interspersed with piercing screams (think horror movies)...on and on and on... When the nurse came in my mom asked her about it and she said the woman was having a natural childbirth. That about did it for me

Ours were ordered last weekend when they went on sale. You know what they say about hindsight... Had we known what was coming financially this week I would not have ordered the MNSSHP and MVMCP tickets until later this month!

I agree there is no other Mr. Darcy. My mom has the new Pride and Prejudice and I like Keira Knightley but I can't imagine this other guy as Darcy so I keep telling her I don't want to watch it.

I've liked him in everything I've seen him in, though.

Speaking of his other movies, I loved Love Actually. Great movie!
