Now there's a site I don't want to see.....

exactly how is a burr extraction done these days???

With that -- good night all. I still need my sleep. In a hotel room by myself - and I got NO sleep. Nite!

I will work on a checklist for proper bur extraction techniques and post it for you later.

Why are you in a hotel room? Did my grumpy brain miss something?

Paula - who is PETE?!?!?!?!?!?! :sad2:

Pete Werner is the founder of the DIS!!!

Why should you love him - b/c without Pete you would not have us

No purpose in your life

No where to post your silliness

No where to laugh

No where to cry

No where to get the bur extracted from your butt

What do you mean you got my screen name now?

I would have said "I got your number now" but I don't so the next best thing was "I got your screen name now".

Speaking of your screen name

I read it as

Re Ann State - but I am usually pretty slow on picking up screen name and meanings- it took me forever to get elin's

so what does yours mean?!?!

It is the first 2 letters of my first middle and last name. Hence why every other letter is capitalized.

Rebecca Ann St***t

Nobody ever gets it because I never go by Rebecca, anymore. Unless I am writing things not related to the internet. I had a friend in college named Renee' and everyone always thought my screenname was for Renee'. I had another friend who called me ReAnn, I should have picked that up and used it as my name, as then my name would not have been used by many.

BTW: I put the stars as I don't want my entire name out on the internet.

Kate how is Nick. I didn't read a few pages yet (ok about 7) so I was wondering how he is tonight? I know acout the CT scan for later tommorrow. Is it tommorow?

Understood

So my friend has reminded me, why I don't like driving when I am tired. He was driving home and fell asleep at the wheel, he hit a tree and the guardrail and he flipped his car over and totaled it.

He is extremely lucky to be alive and to hardly have any injuries. He had to have staples in his right knee, he is bruised and sore all over and his head hurts, plus he doesn't remember what happened, which I think is probably a good thing. He is walking, talking and went to work but is so lucky to be alive. He was only about a mile from his house.

This has me scared because of how I work and am out at all hours. I had a friend who died because they fell asleep at the wheel, so it has me a little shook up. As I sometimes drive when I am tired, it has reminded me I need to be especially careful.

Congrats on finishing the school year! You really are a trooper for doing summer classes. Good luck with that!

I'm so sorry to hear about Alyssa. I hope that they can keep her comfortable. I'll keep her and her family in my prayers.

Speaking of being tiered, I am now done with my day. All this being grumpy business is hard work and takes a lot out of a person.

Becky, my pillow has now become my best friend for the night, but I want you to know you will have another opportunity.

I should explain the best friend thing… I always ask my nephews to do something to help out (take out the trash, get something from the fridge, toss the poopy diaper, things like that) Once one boy asked what he would get for doing what ever it was I asked him to do. I said… you get to be my favorite nephew for the next ten minutes. After a few years it has become a standing “fight” if you will, for the boys to try to be the “favorite nephew”. At the end of the day they add up who was favorite the most. It’s rather funny.
So I figured I would change it a bit for tonight.

Becky, thank you for playing along.

You're welcome. I'll play along anytime I am able. Have a good night, I enjoyed being your best friend for the evening.

Good Evening DDA --

This is my FFFFFAF (Fun Filled Facts For Friends and Family) for the night. Or maybe it's a PSA, except that it is REALLY not useful information at all. So maybe it's neither. Anyway....

Hugh Jackman (specifically as Curly in Oklahoma!, believe it or not) has just joined Colin Firth (specifically as Mark Darcy in the BBC mini-series of Pride and Prejudice) at the top of my list of "British Actors I On Whom I have a Completely Intractable Crush"

That's all, sorry for wasting your time. I'll go back and catch up now :rotfl:

ETA: I guess I should clarify that yes, I know Hugh Jackman was actually born in Australia. But his parents were British, I saw him in a London production, and I think he (maybe) lives there now? Either way, it was the shortest title I could come up with for my list ;) No offense was intended to Clare, anyone who lived in the UK OR in Australia, etc. Please, just don't mind me :teeth:

I can't believe you posted this!!!! Hugh Jackman is my all time FAVORITE celebrity crush! After that episode of Friends where they choose 5 celebrities that are "freebies" I told Alan that Hugh Jackman was definitely at the top of that list for me. I love, Love, LOVE to see him in X-Men, Oklahoma, Kate and Leopold, etc. DH won't let me own any of his movies. I think he's a little jealous! I don't care! I'm not giving up my Hugh!!!

Dinner was a chocolate bar w/ peanutbutter. Don't tell Glynis... she might tell the others on the weight loss thread. I could get in BIG trouble you know.

Hey, this is the trouble free zone, remember? I won't tell a soul!

Actually, I don't have any room to talk. I had 3 white chocolate M&M's for dessert tonight! Boy were they good! I haven't had "real" candy since October28, 2005, so this was a real treat! My doctor said that since I'm so close to my goal weight, it's time to start adding things back in to my diet. I can actually have 1/2 tsp. whole grains and a "taste" of real sugar, now! Personally, I think I've lost my taste for sugar. I'm addicted to the sugar free candy, now! I guess it's all for the best!

HA! Too late, I've already seen it and commented on it!

I can’t believe I forgot to tell you all this (yes :) I got out of bed to tell you) I was on the base shopping tonight and saw the REAL Crocks!!! They range from $20-$24 and all in solid colors, they have the flip flop type also. If anyone wants a pair send me a pm and I will check for your size/color. Oh and the base store does not have tax, what it says on the sticker is what you pay.

BTW: I thought you were going to bed.

Here in PA we do not have tax on clothing items including shoes.

But you must pay tax on bathing suits. I think they are encouraging naked swimming, as swimming suits are considered non-essential.
