Well, I had been debating and debating sneaking down for my birthday and then saw the stuff about Priceline and $36 at Music and Sports. I decided to take a chance and ended up with 5/21 at Music and 5/22-24 at Sports. I am going to add the 20th today at AP rate hopefully. Looking at airfare I think we'll get to MCO around 3. I was thinking Spectro and Wishes that night as well. I'm going to figure out today what we're doing the other days as soon as I get the airfare locked in.

Tia, I am in no way green with envy, no matter what you think/read. :teeth:

I hope you have a fabulous trip!

Port Orleans Vets! Need some advice. Which one is the one that will accomodate 5 people? Which buiding is the best? Water view or regular? Pros and cons with my kids? How are the buses?

If Rees has to have surgery and/or the court case, money is tight. May be a good idea to switch resorts. Please give me tons of good advice!

Port Orleans Riverside Alligator Bayou section is the one that has the roll-out bed for the 5th person. We love that section. We stay in building 38 which is a little away from the main building. I'm assuming you would probably want to be near the main building. I'll get my stuff out after work and give you some hints on where you would want to request.

You are just begging for the tag fairy to come in here!!! :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I don’t think even if I sent a formal invitation delivered by conformation requested to the tag fairy, he/she/they would stop in. ;)

Sometimes I think that I will see them in the outfit God gave them, but thankfully I have yet to see it.

I do however give you permission to think they are dressed or not, what ever trips your trigger the post you are reading. (tee hee) :)

I think it is only the Bayou side that have the trundles to allow sleeping for 5. Building 14 in AB is the closest (from what I have read) and you could probably get it if you have them note his CP on the ressie. (I can't say anything further because we stayed on the manison side so thats really where my expertise is (if you can call it that ;) )

I personally adore this resort!! And I had only ever stayed deluxe before (but not concierge). I didn't think the buses were too bad at all. There are several bus stops within the resort so you don't need to always use the main one if you get stuck in a farther building. If you don't plan on eating at the food court or Boatwrights you won't need to go the main building at all.

If you are really worried about the money, but don't want to give up the comfort of being on the monorail, how about downgrading your room at CR to a standard and hoping for a free tower upgrade?

Hope this helps, feel free to PM me with anything else!

I am so FRUSTRATED today!!

I have volunteered for two big things at my church

one is getting workers for our church festival and the other is registration for VBS

This is my first year working on the festival - but I TOTALLY have everything under control - the woman who did it last year is a total control freak and everyone is copying her on every question they ask me - they have done this b/c she started the job and then handed it off to me when I volunteered -

Every time a question is asked - she answers for me - AND has even sent me what I consider a pretty condesending email about what I need to do - I know she is a control freak and having a hard time letting go and I really can't do anything about it - it is just VERY frustrating!!

This is my second year with VBS and we have a new coordinator - she is also a control freak - we discussed redoing the registration form and I told her I would work on it - the next thing I know - she has redone it and sends it out in a format that she had to have known no one else would be able to read (she even said - I am not sure you all will even be able to read this - I just wanted to send it) so I had no opportunity to give any feedback on the form - despite the fact that I am the one who needs to use it -

today I got a mass email from her - she has put blurbs in the bulletin about registration but the form has not gone out yet - and she has begun to get registrations - which apparently she is doing stuff with b/c she has tallies for everyone - she has done nothing to tell me that the forms are there - how does she expect me to do the stuff I am supposed to if she isn't bothering to communicate with me - I just sent her an email - but I really don't think she will be able to let go of this -and if she can't - I really think I might quit and take my kids to visit my sister like I wanted to do but felt guilty leaving her in a lurch her first year with the program - now I feel that she is only keeping us around b/c she feels like she is supposed to

Kate you have every reason to feel put out in both cases. In the first case, you are running the show so do what you are planning and if you get emails to the contrary, send back the correct instructions. In the second case, enjoy a mini vacation with your sister. It is not worth the hassel. I have definately learned the last few years how to say no and mean it. My life is much less stressful since. And do you know what, I'm not any less liked by any of the people that I had been saying yes too all along. It was an issue that was all in my head. Don't worry and have fun.

Deb

I hope everyone had a good weekend! We're still working hard trying to get all of the baby stuff cleaned and put away. We got a lot done yesterday but we still have a lot to do. I have so many piles everywhere we can hardly walk through the house!

A word of warning to anyone storing clothes, especially baby clothes. DO NOT store them in mothballs. My SIL loaned me some beautiful clothes when Christopher was born that she had stored in mothballs. I was able to air them out and he wore them a few times. I kept them in case the next child was a boy not realizing that the smell wasn't really gone. Well, I stored them with ALL of Christopher's sleepers that I *would have* been able to re-use with this baby. I looked up how to get the smell on the Internet and read several places that the smell and chemicals can still be toxic even if you can't actually smell it. So...I threw away every bit of clothing that even remotely had the smell. That means tons of sleepers (Christopher had reflux so bad we couldn't keep up with the washing so we had lots and lots of sleepers), onesies, socks, booties, gowns, etc. Plus all of the preemie clothes he wore in the beginning. I could just cry.

Plus, the same SIL offered me some of her daughter's clothes but I'm sure they were packed the same way and so I won't be able to use them :(.

On a positive note, Christopher starts swimming lessons today and we're really excited. He regressed last year so I hope he remembers this year and we get the most out of the next two weeks.

Have a good day everyone!

FFFFFAF (Fun Filled Facts For Friends and Family)

When DH bought his first suite, the guy told him to take a few slivers of a soap bar that we like the smell of, wrap in a bit of tissue (Kleenex) and place it in the bottom of the bag that holds the suit.

I did this in all our dresser drawers and when I store clothes in boxes of any kind. It seems to work well for the stale smell thing. Moths? I have not had any, so I can’t confirm it works for them.

Sorry about all the baby clothes.
I hope Christopher does well in swimming this year.

Tia I am so happy for you! :cheer2:
