Any ME tags?

No video camera from me...I haven't learned how to use the one I bought years ago!

I nipped the babysitting thing in the bud when I became a Den Leader 3 years ago. No boy is allowed to show up at a meeting without an Adult. I had a boy years ago that was actually dropped off at a public building for a meeting and told to find a ride home. She never even walked him in or spoke to anyone. The boy was 8. That was it and I layed down the law. We do have great involvement as long as all they have to do is show up.

Deb
:faint: What if the meeting time/location had been changed. I can think of a dozen scenarios where not at least going in with him could have led to disaster. What the he** was she thinking to tell an 8 YO to find his own ride home. :furious: I consider it MY responsibility if I want to find someone to give my kid a ride home from a party/function etc. I'm glad you nipped that one. It amazes me to read all you guys' experiences with parents not helping, etc. Hopefully these kids turn out OK.

Paul just reminded me -- two weeks from today!! Yippeeeeeeeee

Those that bring the video cameras are destined to be the ones that fall on their **** first!!!

Kristine -- hope you sell fast! You too Amy!!

I am quite familiar with this!

Hope it gets better!

Nick is konked out - which is a very good thing

he was very restless last night but only woke up once crying and holding his head - but he never vocalized that he had a headache - so maybe it wasn't too bad - he has not said anything about a headache today :thumbsup2

but he has given me one!!! I can't begin to tell you how crabby he was - Julia came downstairs and he yelled at her to go away - usually in the morning the hug on each other - obviously then she got upset and the day went downhill from there - they have fought over EVERYTHING - part of me wanted to tell her just to give in to him on everything but how fair is that to her - she doesn't understand what is going on and I don't want him to see that screaming got him his way even if he really can't help it

so he screamed - she screamed - I screamed - and so went our morning -

My week has caught up to me and I was so happy to drop her off at school and then he fell asleep on the way home - so I am just listening to the calm

I am praying when he wakes up from his nap he will feel a little better!!!
:grouphug: I think we all can say a quick prayer for that for you and Nick. Here's hoping for a calm night. :wizard:

Hi all! I just wanted to share where I went this morning, otherwise known as a very proud aunt moment

My nephew is a pitcher for his high school team and just signed to play college baseball (on scholarship) at McNeese State University here in Louisiana. His signing was at the school this morning. He will play next year as a Freshman and his coach told him he thought he'd be there 3 years then be high enough in the draft to go pro. That's a long way away and anything could happen between now and then, but I'm so proud of and excited for him. He's a great kid!!
Congratulations!!!

I hear you Kate on the crabby kid thing. You too Glynis. I had to take the fight club aka Colby and Logan to a few stores this morning to find rain gear and boots for Nick which he needs for this weekends camping trip. All they did was fight through every store that we went in. No bribe worked. I felt like everyone was watching us. One lady with 3 kids of her own said "I'm glad I'm not the only one". I was so glad to get home and put all three of us down for a nap. My headache is at least gone and the sun is shining so hopefully we'll get outside soon. I do have to work tonight though.

Deb :bounce: :Pinkbounc :Pinkbounc

Colby is on my lap selecting smilies that I need to use. He likes to look at Tia's Signature. He thinks Terra is cute

Deb :badpc: :confused3 :thumbsup2 :cool1:
I am always paranoid that people are staring at us when 1 of my kids act up. I'm especially sensitive about when they stare at Zack during his "meltdowns" I know they think he's too big for tantrums but that's truly not what they are he just gets overwhelmed at times. :confused3 Hope the rest of your afternoon goes well and work goes smoothly. :wizard:

WOW - I am finally caught up.

Kristine - I still haven't got the baggage tags. I have been waiting for them so I can mail them along with the ME tags. But I think I will just send off the ME tags. I know as soon as I do this, the baggage tags will arrive.

We were there Dec. 17-23 and waited 3 nights to catch it cause it got cancelled twice for wind. Funny thing was the balloon they released barely moved. Everyone around us was irate but while they were all standing around grumbling we booked it over to Rivers of America and found great spots for the second Fantasmic show. :teeth: I have to say we shelled out the money in summer for balcony seats but our spot on the river was much better and free. Our AP's expire Aug. 21 so we'll probably go the week before they expire. I do know I would like to also catch the Alladin show we missed at DCA. I have heard others rave about it.

You absolutely HAVE to see Alladin!!! It's one of the most amazing shows I've ever seen. Definitely Broadway quality! Last time we went the twins were 3 and even they sat still through the whole thing! We were on an aisle seat, and the elephant came right down by them. They were so amazed!

Do you think that will be the Aladdin show we are seeing in October?

cooking dinner. Congrats, Dawn, to your nephew!

Kristine, hope the rash is feeling better.

Kate, hope Nick is doing better.

Deb, I'd tell those parents to bring 2 things period. Just be firm and tell them if they don't then no group meal. Don't cover for them. You do too much already.

Chanon, hope you're feeling better.

Hi to everyone else. Hope I didn't miss anyone.

Had to brag on my boys. They both passed their first test tonight and got a yellow stripe on their white belts at Karate! And Davis had enough "High 5" awards to get a blue star for his uniform. Rees got his 5th award today, so he'll get to trade them in for the blue star next week. Proud mom moment! They are loving Karate so much.

So glad to hear that they like it -- Matt loves it too. In fact, I can't recall any child that gets into it that doesn't like it. Tell the boys Matt is proud of them!!
