The hardest line of the whole show was when she said something to the effect of:

I can't help feeling guilty that while he was being blown up I was sitting in my apartment having a beer and watching celebrity poker

It's amazing how that is exactly what you do when a loved one dies. The night that my dad died in a car accident, I was driving to a Girl Scout training with another leader. About the time of his accident, she & I were discussing our parents. She told me about her childhood and then I was telling her how wonderful my childhood was and what fantastic parents I have. We both reminisced so I was telling her all these wonderful stories about my parents. When I found out he was dead, the first thing I thought was that I was honoring him at the time of his passing. That thought comforted me.

I am sooooooo excited about tomorrow morning....Saturday. I am having a Mother's Day Brunch at my house for the "girls" in my family. I am fixin' a big breakfast with pancakes w/ apples or strawberry toppings, egg & sausage casserole, sliced strawberries and cantelope. I bought the expensive really rich chocolate milk and orange juice.

I am having a massage person.......(friend of mine who works at Spa Sydell)...........to bring her chair massage and the table massage. They don't know about the massage part.........they just think they are coming for a relaxing "girls brunch". My daughter, daughter-in-law, cousin and sister-in-law are all getting the 15 minute chair massage.........My Aunt and my Mom are getting the 30 minute table massage.

Are they going to be surprised or what!!!!

I'm hoping all those yummy sounding recipes from a few days ago get put on the PDZ. I didn't have time to print them all out.

As soon as Kate tells me she is ready, I'll send them on to her. I sent her another file full of recipes I've copied of the DDA and other parts of the DIS, too.

Hey DDA some friends of ours need a lot of pixie dust. they were pregant and the wife developed Preeclampsia and had to be delivered on April 28th. Her due date was July 29th. The baby girl weighed jsut over a pound when she was born.

Sending lots of for this baby (and the parents). That's a scary thing, but babies can and do survive. The couple we are going to DL had a situation like that. Jameson was 1 pound 8 oz. when born, and he is just amazing now. I'll keep this baby girl in my prayers!

Good night all!! After work tomorrow Terra and I are picking up the rental car for getting to the airport the next morning (makes an early flight so much easier if I can get a good rate). After Phil gets done at his doctor's appointment, I'm hoping to talk Phil into taking me out to dinner for my birthday/Mother's Day before we go. So, in case I don't make it back online tomorrow...I'll talk to you all Wednesday after we get back. Have a great weekend everyone!!!

BTW - Phil had an appointment today with the oncologist and she said that his blood counts all look good. The MRI on his spleen didn't show much change from the one she did over three years ago. So...the good news is that so far everything looks good. His spleen still has overactive issues which could lead to problems later, but there are no signs of lymphoma or other nasty words like that right now. The oncologist doesn't feel the need to see him for another year when she wants to retest everything so that sounds like a good sign too.

The only thing of concern is that some of his other blood work is a little funky. For example, despite taking Vitamin D supplements, his Vit D levels are low. So, the next stop will be an endocronologist to see what's up there. The leaning is hyperparathyroid, but I have no idea what that means so I'm just kind of going along with the flow. I guess we'll see in a month or so after that appointment.

Thank you all for your continued prayers and support. I could tell that Phil felt noticibly psychologically after his appointment so things are defintely looking up.

Tia - I don't know if you'll see this before you leave, but have a wonderful trip! I'm glad that Phil's appointment went well in so far that there is no lymphoma. Hopefully the thyroid thing can be worked out. We'll keep him in our prayers for a resolution to this!

I saw y'all discussing E.R....that been my "must see t.v." for years.I don't think I've missed an episode in the ,is it 11 years it's been on?...anyway I figured when Micheal insisted on going back to Iraq that he was a goner. A few weeks ago when Luca was talking about going over to Dankur I was yelling at the t.v. saying "you better NOT leave Abby!" The season finale looks pretty scary,hope nothing happens to Abby's baby.

I went to the dentist yesterday & felt yuck the rest of the day. Riley had a baseball game last night & it was freezing! We had our coats & blankets wrapped around us Dh said it felt like football weather & I agree lol My older ds Garrett had his picture in the paper Wednesday. Our local paper was taking shots of their game & he took a cute picture of him blowing a bubble If I had a scanner I would post it.
