That is great news! I did that same thing with my wallet last spring! I had taken Terra (then 2yo) and my 3yo niece to Target. It was my sister's wedding day and we were running a couple of last minute errands before heading to the hair salon with the other girls. I didn't notice for about 2 hours after having my hair done. I went into total panic mode because all of my money, debit card, license, etc was in there and I wasn't sure how I was going to fly home a few days later without it. I called the store and no one had turned it in. I took a chance and went by the store before heading to the park for the ceremony. There, in the parking lot, sitting in the cart was my wallet almost 3 hours later! We had used one of the fancy kid carts with the plastic seats attached and the cart attendants hadn't picked it up from the parking lot yet. I jumped out of the car and ran for it while the people in the parking lot looked at me like I was insane. I was SO lucky and SOOOO thankful it was still there.

This ones for our queen. This is my state vehicle (one of my staff was behind me in another car) crossing the Mackinac Bridge that I have to cross everytime I go to Lansing. In case you are not familiar with it, it is 5 miles long, the longest suspension bridge between cable connectors and connects the upper & lower peninsulas. Click the name and it will take you to a website about it if you are interested.

Don't sell any more costumes on ebay.... put them on the PDZ for people to use/ give small donation and so on.

Ebay was very profitable...sometimes we got more for the costumes than we paid for them, and this always helped us buy the next set of costumes! :thumbsup2

Obviously, we're not selling anything this year though, since I donated our John and Wendy costumes to Denise. Our dalmation shirts, skirts, and Kevin's pants are lying around somewhere, but I don't remember the sizes. Speak up if you want me to donate them to you!

Great pictures Amy! I do have to ask though, how did you manage walking in heels all night :teeth:

LOL...well, at the time, I was still teaching, so I was wearing heels every day, but it wasn't my smartest move walking around the MK in those shoes all night! I wore Isotoner slippers with my Cinderella costume and my comfy black sandals with my dalmation and Wendy costumes! :teeth:

Hi Everybody;

Sorry I wasn't around at all yesterday, I can't even begin to catch up but I did skim a few pages, looks like I missed a lot of fun!!!! I was on a cleaning rampage yesterday, and I tackled the basement, I got SO much done!!! I am going to work down there today too, and hopefully it will be done by the end of the weekend!!!! I literally worked down there for over 12 hours straight, everything is organized and neat. I have SO much for my garage sale, Now starts the part I am dreading the most, putting the prices on everything!!!!

I am feeling tons better, I guess it was some kind of upper respiratory infection or something because I lost the sore throat and it went into my chest and head. Thanks for all of the get well wishes they definitely worked!!!!

Cody came home yesterday, his incision looks nasty!!!! He is shaved all over, and I have a hard time looking at his incision. He needs a lot of extra care, we can't take him outside except on a leash until his sutures are removed on the 1st, he has lots of meds. to take. I'll spare you the rest of the gory details but I think we will have our hands full w/ him for the next few weeks, but it is worth it to have him home!!! All I heard every time I called to check on him or I talked to the vet was what a wonderful sweet dog he is, they had a hard time sending him home!!!

We got the biopsy report back on Friday too. It was malignant & it was a mass cell tumor. The vet said that he thinks he got all of the tumor. They rank the tumors on a scale of 1-3, 1 being the best, 3 being the worst. Cody's was a 1, he has a 90% chance of this never coming back again, but he said that if it does come back it is almost always fatal. It come back in the lungs, kidneys, etc. He said we would know it was back because he would just get really sick really quickly. Hopefully we will never have to worry about this!!!!

Thanks again for all of your kind words and prayers!!! I know that they helped tremendously!!!! You guys are the absolute best, and whenever any of you need prayers, I immediately put these onto my list to remember your requests too!!!

My friend still hasn't called, I guess she knows I'm p***** at her, we usually talk on a daily basis+. I am kind of dreading Monday, because I know I will see her at school, Oh Well!!! I am just SO non-confrontational, I hate to fight w/anyone, but this has been bubbling under the surface for a while now and I know I need to get it off of my chest!!!!

If you need to hear anymore about what a people pleaser/sucker I am ask Amy & Kate what I did at the Children's Museum at lunchtime!!!

We are all looking forward to our night at Kate's, the kids are SO excited!!!!

Thanks Again!!! Hope you all have a great weekend!!!!

Julie :goodvibes
Poor dog. Sending :wizard: for Cody. I remember when our dachsund, Cocoa had back surgery. He couldn't walk right on Christmas so the next morning we rushed him to the nearest animal hospital. He looked so pathetic, I was absolutely a basketcase. Of course, I was pregnant with my first at the time and a little sensitive. My DH grumbled about the surgery and physical therapy bills for a dog. But, one look at my face and he knew, we weren't putting him to sleep. :sad2: Of course my oldest ended up with allergies and we had to give him to my mom. I still get to see him occasionally at least. :)

Glynis, I meant to tell you earlier, I loved your zoo pics!

Vicki, beautiful prom pics! I used to chaperone prom every year, and it was so fun to see all the kids get all dressed up!

Julia and Tia, wow, you are both so lucky to find your camera and wallet!

Denise, I hope BK's spider bite heals quickly. Until you started answering questions, I didn't know your alter ego! :teeth:

Deb, I'm sorry it was such an exhausting day. I hope you are able to accomplish the rest of your tasks and really enjoy tomorrow. :goodvibes

Amy :)

Good morning...

Well, the Geek Squad has to come back Sunday...can you believe that? What a bunch of dorks!

They come all dressed up, almost like cops...with a badge and everything. It reminded me of one of those stripper guys..I was waiting for the music to start! :teeth:
You should pay them in singles. :rotfl2: Just kidding. :teeth:

WARNING... almost no one else has been on here for the past few hours so I have been posting and posting and posting. Please ignore if you are in a hurry! :rotfl:

Elin, I enjoyed reading your posts as you got caught up! :teeth: I'm also glad you are home safely and that you and your siblings were able to find some joy during this difficult week! :goodvibes

Amy :)

Hi, everybody! :wave2:

I hope everyone's Saturday went well...

All you Cincinnatians - I hope the party was a success, keg and all! ;)

Elin - it's good to see you back. I'm glad that things went as well as possible. I've been thinking about you.

Deb - good luck with the party tomorrow. Yet again, just reading a recap of your day makes me tired! You have to be one of the most energetic people I "know". I also really enjoyed your pictures of all of the costumes in your "threats" to Crush!

Denise - glad to hear that you guys had a good day. I hope that BK's spider bite gets better! It's also nice to have an answer to one of the alter ego's identities (I had you figured out, and I have my suspicions on others).

Paula - loved the pics of your girls - and your before and after weight loss shots were great!

Clare and Glynis - here's some :wizard: for finishing those yucky assignments!

Kristine - I don't have any answers for you, but I hope that the computer issue gets resolved. I've spent more than enough hours on tech support in the past - it will make you go :furious: .

Janet - congrats on adding the extra day to your October trip! I am really missing WDW tonight. This night last year, I surprised DH with an IllumiNations cruise as part of his 30th b-day celebration.

Tammi - I'm sorry to hear about the soccer game. Maybe you guys can get some more rest tonight. Your description of meatloaf made me very hungry - it's one of my favorite (and just about only) things to cook!

Paul and Marti - Paul, it's nice to see you posting, and Marti, I hope you and Matt are enjoying your time in LI.

Vicki - tell Becky she looked just beautiful for her prom! I hope she had a fun night, and made lots of nice memories. Was this her junior prom?

Angela - congrats on the baby girl!!!!! princess:

Everyone else - :cheer2: :grouphug: :wizard:

I wasn't taking notes, so was just going off of memory. I'm headed to bed shortly, and have lots to do tomorrow, so I might be around, I might not.

Sleep tight, DDA!

You Said AND I QUOTE.....
Good morning, DDA! BTW, I can't keep secrets. So if you ask me questions, I'll answer honestly and reveal my identity. 1 person, our beloved Queen, was the only one to correctly guess so far.

You never said we had to ask who you are! You said So if you ask me questions, I'll answer honestly

So I asked you questions.

Now I will ask you again......

What is your favorite color?

How many children do you have?

Boys or girls?

What state do you live in?

Do you work outside the house in a tax-paying job?

Did you sign up on
http://www.frappr.com/dda

What are your intentions?

What size shoe do you wear?

Have you bought crocks or crock nock offs? If so… What color?

How many designs have you made?

What is your favorite design?

What came first… The chicken or the egg?

If you are baking a cake in a round pan, how long should you bake it?

What is your favorite drink?

Do you own a Pal Mickey? If not… Are you on the list to receive Pal Mickey for a visit? If so, then what month are you scheduled for?

What is the airspeed velocity of an un-laden swallow?

Diamond or pearls?

What is your hair color?

Coffee or soda?

Did Mickey and Minnie ever get married?

Don't make me put you in a small room w/ only mirrors, a table, a chair and one light shinning on you!
Goodness, maybe I should have you interrogate my DH. :rotfl:

I was kind of thinking it might be you - the TURTLE for the avatar, just the style of your responses...

And then you answered the question about how many times you've been to WDW, and I remembered your former signature! :goodvibes

Tammi - When I made the meatloaf the first time, I did the same thing. It was still good. :) When my friend did the same thing, she added more meat and make two loafs. :) It taught me how to read a recipe before attempting. I'm glad the family liked it!!

ETA: Is there software to add? Is it an older camcorder? Try turning it on and off?
That happened at my son's school. We were making some pumkin type bread and you could see all the women following the steps in the directions. There was this dad, only guy volunteer, with his group dumped everything in the bowl and it wouldn't mix right. The teacher had to scrape up extra ingredients so they could make a new batch. I felt so bad for him. I mean, my DH leaves all the volunteer stuff up to me and this guy had volunteered in the past which I think is great. Cooking was just not his thing. :rolleyes1

We had a good day. Slept in, and I made a big ole Southern b'fast with biscuits, grits, eggs, bacon. Yummy! Then BK had a princess dress-up b'day tea party. She went as Belle and looked so pretty. I took some pics and will try to post later. After the party we went to the large indoor outlet mall, walked around, went to Bass Outdoor Pro shop to see the aquarium/boats/rock wall. We ate dinner at Johnny Rockets and then rode the carousel. They have the tea cups (like WDW) on it, so guess what the kids and I picked! We spun so fast I thought we were all going to be sick. It was so much fun!!! They are in bed, and DH and I are relaxing.

Oh, and BK got bit by a spider last night on her ankle. It has a big ulcer and is oozing now. It doesn't look like a Brown Recluse bite, but if it's not better we'll have to go to the doctor.

Sound like a fun day.

Spider bite… bad.

Did you give her benadryl? Dimetapp? Antihistamines are good for bites.

Funny story time…

So I was (Air Force story) on an exercise and we stayed in a hotel. (I know that sounds odd, but when you are flying sometimes they put you in a hotel for proper crew rest) We were getting together for our pre-flight briefing and I told my head nurse (I was a medic at the time) that my back had a big bump on it and I asked him to look at it.

He laughed at me and told me it was a pimple.

The next day we were pre-flight briefing again and I told him the bump was bigger and hot. He looked again, this time he felt it and said…. OMG, You have one good spider bite here.

He ran to his drug kit and took out the benadryl, open wide he said.

He then lanced it and got the puss out. Then he gave me the rest to take for the next few days.

It took about a week for it to dry up completely and go way.
