You are going to have a bust weekend catching up.
I'm not sure about skype, but imagine you could. Will ask DH if he knows as he was on there site the other day.
I've used skype before, but tha was when I wasn't on dialup. Unfortunately we are on dial up again. I really wish that we could get good internet access around here. When we used skype you just had to be a member then you select a member to dial up and if they answer you are talking through your computer for free. You must have a mic though. I think you can also use a web cam, but have never tried.

Congratulations, Angela! That's great news.

I don't blame you for being upset, I would have been too!

Finally caught up.

Well, Nicholas was supposed to have a soccer game at 830 this morning. I get up at 7 and call the cancellation line, because it is supposed to rain and storm here all day, but is not at the moment. None. So John and I get showered and ready. I call again before waking the kids. Still no cancellations. Get them up, fed, dressed. I pack water/snacks. Call again. Still none. Load up the car and head to the field. Guess what!! Just as we were pulling in they were locking the gates. They canceled the game 15 minutes before start time. I was soooo mad. And it still WASNT RAINING! My thoughts on this is everyone that had an 830 game was already on the road so you might as well play, and if it starts raining, then call the game. So when we got home I called Parks and Rec to find out who was in charge of cancelations. I will be sure to give her a call on Monday and let her know my thoughts.

Sorry for the rant. I needed to let off some steam.

Your shirt looks great :thumbsup2

Can someone explain the difference between this and Madagascar, other than the different animals? I can't understand how they got away with this. Isn't there some copyright violations, or creativity violation or something?

I'm with you. There is SO little difference. I didn't really like it much as the story wasn't that good either. The copyright issue is okay because each studio probably came up with the idea independently, just happened to be at the same time. It cracks me up to think of the reaction of the studios when they find out about the other. I also find it odd how often it happens - the volcano movies a few years ago (Dante's Peak and Volcano), the two 70s flashback tv shows a couple of years ago when the kid when back to do over his high school year, the asteroid movies (Deep Impact and Armageddon)...

Isn't that funny....

John just went upstairs to watch the race. He is a nascar fan, and will be taking Nicholas to the race in Richmond next month. Alyssa wants to go too, but that would require me to go.:guilty:

Who does John cheer for, I am a Tony Stewart fan and Matthew likes Jeff Gordon...

We had a good day. Slept in, and I made a big ole Southern b'fast with biscuits, grits, eggs, bacon. Yummy! Then BK had a princess dress-up b'day tea party. She went as Belle and looked so pretty. I took some pics and will try to post later. After the party we went to the large indoor outlet mall, walked around, went to Bass Outdoor Pro shop to see the aquarium/boats/rock wall. We ate dinner at Johnny Rockets and then rode the carousel. They have the tea cups (like WDW) on it, so guess what the kids and I picked! We spun so fast I thought we were all going to be sick. It was so much fun!!! They are in bed, and DH and I are relaxing.

Oh, and BK got bit by a spider last night on her ankle. It has a big ulcer and is oozing now. It doesn't look like a Brown Recluse bite, but if it's not better we'll have to go to the doctor.

Ooooo watch that bite like a hawk!!! Katie was bitten by a brown recluse when she was 2, and it was awful. Her lower leg (knee down) turned a blackish/purple color, like a terrible bruise. It swelled up, too. Luckily, we were able to trap the spider, so the doctor could see it. They got her on meds rapidly and all was well. Katie's never oozed, though, so it might be a different spider.

I'll keep her in my prayers!

I bought the Chronicles of Narnia movie to keep me occupied until it is time to pick up Becky & her friends. This is a great show. I need to read the books. I've always meant to and still haven't.

I LOVE those books! We read the Magician's Nephew and The Lion, the Witch, and the Wardrobe to Katie and Jacob before we took them to see the movie. I wanted them to have the stories in their heads as they watched. The Magician's Nephew was actually written later, but it tells the story of how Narnia is created, and where the White Witch comes from. It's nice to have that background as you watch the movie, I think. Doesn't take away from it if you haven't seen it, but it adds another layer if you do.

You'll enjoy reading them. I adore C.S. Lewis! The Screwtape Letters is one of my favorite books, ever!

Vicki your dd is beautiful & looks just like you :goodvibes

The suspense was killing me too. Like at Christmas, I want to tell everyone what I got them months before the day. I am so bad with suspense, and I hate surprises!

Sounds like you had a marvelous day! Hope BK's bite is nothing serious :wizard:
