Hi Everybody;

I'm just checking in, I haven't even gone back and caught up yet.

Cody isn't home yet, Dave will hopefully be picking him up on his way home from work tonight. I hope we are able to keep him as comfortable as possible so that he isn't in too much pain!!!

I am SO sick, I feel absolutely lousy, and I never get sick. I have a fever, chills, aching, and a low grade fever. My throat hurts a little bit but other than that I have no actual symptoms. I cannot keep my eyes open, I have slept the majority of the day on the couch. I feel absolutely lousy, I don't know if I have gotten myself run-down lately or what~is the flu still going around???

I swear I am not a drama queen but I am miserable , I took the week off of work to spend time w/ the kids, not to be sick. I mad a huge mess in the basement last night while I was sorting through baby clothes to sell at the garage sale (that seems like it will never happen), and now I feel so lousy I can't even go down and clean up the mess-I can't stand things laying around or left unfinished. On top of that I have to go and pick up meat trays at one store and potato salad at another sometime this afternoon for Dave and Kyle to go and serve dinner at a homeless shelter tonight, I don't know were I am going to get the energy to leave the house, I am completely wiped out-But since Dave is picking up the dog after work he just won't have time.

Ugh, I am SO sorry to sound like all I do is complain, I just haven't felt this bad in a long time, and it sucks that this happens while I'm on "vacation"!!!

Thanks again for all of your prayers for Cody, they mean more than you know, would you mind throwing in a few for me to start feeling better soon!!!

Julie

:grouphug:and :wizard: that you'll feel better soon.

:grouphug:and :wizard: that things with Cody are better than expected.

Here's my attempt at a catch up post.

Elin and Julie: congratulations on the weight loss. That's such a huge accomplishment!

Jo: congratulations on the sale of your home. Good luck finding something new :wizard:

Glynis: way to go getting your assignment done ahead of time.

Marti: have a fun and safe trip

:wizard: and :grouphug: to anyone I missed.

My family has been waiting for me to cry this week. I am one of those silly people that cries when I see the castle or walk into Epcot through the International Gateway or has a student with amazing talent. I cry at weddings, but deaths of loved ones don't usually affect me that way and they know this. They also know that eventually I will break down and get it out of my system.

Today I cried.

Thank you from the bottom of my heart for your thoughtfulness and love. It means more to me than you will ever know. You are true friends even though I have never, ever met a single one of you. The flowers are just beautiful.

Elin -

I can't believe you already got them - Tammi just ordered them this morning. We would also like you to know that doing this for you is what put the DDA Pixie Dust Fund in motion and that you are the first official recipient of the DDA Pixie Dust!! We just really wanted you to know how much we care about you and are thinking about you!

Take care of yourself this week!! And let us know if you need anything!!

Feel better Julie!!! :wizard: :wizard: I was just reading an article here in Boston a week or so ago about a big flu outbreak here recently so maybe so.

Amy - Alyssa's pictures are adorable - she is such a ham when she sees a camera!!!
Also - I think I forgot to tell you I am sorry about your house! That stinks - but now you know it is desirable!!

Julie - I am sorry you don't feel well and that you are having a crappy week - Is it May 18th yet?

Glynis - Way to go on finishing your projects!! I am very impressed!

Elin - Congrats on the weight loss!! I wish I could motivate myself - as I dig into my kids easter candy!

Hi everyone! I only have a quick minute, because we rented a storage unit last night to store some of our clutter to make our house look bigger for our future open house(s). As soon as I put Alyssa down for a nap, I need to get to work!

Julie, I'm sorry to hear you are feeling so terrible. Drink plenty of fluids and try your best to rest! Yes, you have a lot to do, but you're never going to get back to 100% if you keep pushing yourself. Here's some :wizard: for Cody too!

Jo, congratulations on the sale of your house. I hope I'll be able to post about our sale soon!

Elin, sending you more :grouphug: Please travel safely. And congratulations on your awesome weight loss!

Lynn, :wave2: I've missed my "partner in crime!"

Glynis, congratulations on getting your project done!!! I bet it's a huge weight lifted off your back!

Marti, have a safe and fun trip!

Deb, good luck with all your projects! Please send me some of your energy!

Denise, I sent out your package today! Sending Rees (and all of you) lots of :wizard:

Kate and Tammi, I am very impressed with your execution and layout of the "Pixie Dust Zone." :cheer2:

I'm sure I'm accidentally missing something big, so here's some extra :grouphug: and :wizard: to cover my forgetfulness. You all are the best!

I'll be back later!
Amy :)

I love the DDA PD Zone! What a perfect idea for this group of people - and I'm so glad that the first little bit of PD helped Elin.

I can't wait to see what will come of this. I'm here to help in any way I can!

Okay, I'm back real quickly to ask, does anyone know of places that donate boxes? We have a lot of stuff to pack up, and if we could bypass having to buy boxes, that'd be great!

Thanks in advance,
Amy :)

P.S. Thanks for all the compliments on Alyssa's pictures. Actually getting her to smile for just a camera isn't all that easy...the girl at JCPenney had to pretend to tickle me a lot (why that cracked Alyssa up, I have no idea!). You can see by the last picture, she was done though...I had hoped to get a few more pics in that second outfit, but I still managed to spend a small fortune!

When we moved, we got boxes from the grocery store. It saved them from having to break them down and recycle them. Don't know if they will do that in your area or not. Usually you have to let them know the day before their shipment and they'll let you know when you can pick them up.

you have to promise to give them back when you are done!

I hadn't started the pm yet - and now I would just copy and paste

here is what I can say on here:

it got very ugly and is really something we would all rather forget! I really think it has taken us until now to fully recover - but now the DDA is BETTER THAN EVER!!

What I should have said was the past is just that, the past and it is just none of my business. I hope I did not come off the wrong way.

I have been thinking about this while making the jam and it was bothering me.

Now back to kiwi jam.

Great News to pass along!! :woohoo:

All my hard work has paid off.
We excepted an offer on the house.
$89,000.00 more than we paid for it, less than 3 years ago.
Passed inspection with flying colors.
All is set for a May 15 closing date.
I have an apartment @ work ready for move in May 1.
School isn't out till middle of June.
Then I start looking fo a transfer.
This means I will have to move 2x's instead of 1.
I think my scanity is worth it though.

I can't tell you all how much you have helped me get through this.

Thank you.
Thank all of you.

WOW Jo! That's great news!!!! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

GFS Marketplace stores have them near the register also... I think the closest to you would be Rt 4 though.. that and Fields-Ertel are the only ones I know about around here.
