Hey Everybody;

Just checking in briefly to say "Hi" !!! Sorry for all of the drama yesterday, I am not usually like that . Thanks you all so much for all of your wonderful thoughts and prayers for me and Cody.

I am feeling a little bit better than I was yesterday, but still not 100%, I don't think I have a fever anymore though.

Kyle is going to lunch and to the park w/ Dave's parents, and Carli is going to a b-day party at Build a Bear today. I really should rest but the kids really need some new summer clothes and it is SO much easier to shop without them w/ me. So I am off for some retail therapy.

Cody didn't come home yesterday, the Vet said that he was up and around and he seemed better, but there were some complications that they wanted to keep an eye on. He is coming home either today or tomorrow hopefully.

My best friend that I talked about on Friday night has seemed to have pulled a disappearing act. I haven't heard from her since I called her to ask her some questions on Friday night when we found out about Cody. She hasn't called at all this week and we had made tentative plans to get together this week while I am off. Lately she seems to never be around when I need her, she is only around when she needs me for something from me, she constantly complains, and thinks everyones lives should revolve around her.She is extremely spoiled!!! I hope you all don't think I am usually so B***** about my friends, but I am Very hurt!!! Can you tell I am aggravated??? Anyway the reason I went into all of this is because it really shows me how much you all care, and I SO appreciate it, your friendships and concern are invaluable to me!!! Thanks!!! Julie

My kids are hilarious -

they are playing hide and seek

Julia is telling Nick where to go hide - he goes where she says - then she counts and goes to look for him

all the time saying "Nick, where are you? Mommy - where could Nick be? Nick?"

Then she hides in the same place so he can find her!

Oh my Gosh I hardly know where to begin! I came in to tell you all your prayers are working for me!!! We went to court with Joe's ex on Mon. and it went really well for us.I am praying so hard that we will get custody of Jonathan.We have been in such a funk around this house for months and months.It's like a weight lifted off of us on Mon. afternoon. We still have a ways to go but it's looking very good for us!

Our neighbor Mr.Wilson is doing better. He's awake and responding .I don't know what the prognosis is by I just TG he didn't die.

I've been reading for a couple hours on here now trying to catch up on what I could.I think all I've read has been posts from today...well actually it's yesterday(Weds) now.I know I'll be leaving people out because like... I think Steffy said...I didn't take notes!

I had thoughts about things I read
but now I am getting tired and things have left this brain!! OY!

Kate & Tammi...the Pixie Dust Zone is a wonderful idea! OMG it makes me cry.It's so sweet and wonderful.Y'all are so generous.The DDA...what an AMAZING group of people!!!

If he isn't having one - the question would not make me look like I suspected he was and she would have a perfectly logical answer

I'm caught up with you guys!! I spent yesterday washing the front of my house, reinstalling the rain gutters, weeding the flower bed (the flowers are barely poking through) and putting out the bench and tables. I bought some hanging pots from Home Depot so we have a little color out there. It looks really nice. The outside is ready for Sunday so now I'm working on the inside. I have managed to get Colby's room and Our Room completely cleaned, dusted, vacuumed, done. I locked the doors so the kids can't get in there to mess them up. It is so hard to try to clean having 5 in the house and the party is still 3 days away. I don't want to get ahead of myself, but figure if I wait something will come up and put me behind. . I went to the florist and ordered the Cake Toppers yesterday. I think I have bought all of the supplies now. How can a litlle party take up so much time? I have also been PMing Vicki on the Travellin' Pals. Hopefully they will be ready for travel early next week. Who would have thought that such a little guy would need so much luggage At least it is giving me something else to think about.

I'm off to get something else done.

Good morning, DDA. I'd be grateful for PD and prayers for my Aunt. This is my Aunt Dot, and she is my dad's sister. Most of my family lives in a family complex -- land bought by my grandfather many years ago that is in the city limits, but has a tank and cows on it. Anyway, I'm very close to Aunt Dot. We found out yesterday that she needs surgery tomorrow morning for her Carotid artery. It's 75 - 95% blocked, and they can't use a stent -- need to go in and clean it out. It will be a couple of hours for the surgery, then ICU (she's 75) and then home after a couple of days.

I've seen what has happened when the DDA puts it's collective power behind something, so I'd be grateful for your prayers.

Julie - for Cody. I hope he gets to come home to his family today.

I can also empathize with your BF situation. One of my dearest friends was like that (I wouldn't hear from her until she needed something, etc.), and one day I just told her that I couldn't always be the "fall guy" and was going to take a break from things. Our friendship went on a hiatus for a while, and we are just now getting back to speaking here and there. While I missed my friend in the interim, she's also become a different, but better, person since all of this. I think sometimes we can outgrow a relationship, and you almost need to start over.

Hi, all. Feeling much better today and happy. About to go give the kids a bath and then the boys have Karate.

I have pot-luck at school tomorrow. Any suggestions for a yummy and EASY recipe I could make? I'd like to take something along the lines of side dish/main dish. We always have so many desserts and nothing substantial to eat. But I mean EASY!!!!!!!!

Speaking of DH leaving…

He is going to another military school for Senior Non-commissioned officers. He leaves tomorrow after noon and school is over 24 May. However the school is only a about an hour away, so he will be able to come home a weekend here and there. This is good and bad.




Good -I get to spend lots more time w/ DDA at night.

Bad – I will be spending more time on the DDA at night and not getting sleep.

Tammi - getting ready to go into a meeting, but wanted to say this:

Have you considered just doing counter service before the party? I think, from a ride's perspective, that it's best to get into the park just before it closes to the general public. We did this last year, grabbed dinner at Pecos Bill's, and then did most of Frontierland before the party even started. If Alyssa is scared of the characters, this might be a good bet, and save the TS for somewhere else more fun outside of the MK. (I love Kona! - but worry that you might be rushed.)

You are living my story honey....

I was overweight most of my life..not fat just like size 12-14 but I am 5'7 so that wasn't bad. Had my kids & then the weight just piled on.

In 2002 (after my 3rd baby) I lost 55lbs doing WW's on my own..no meetings.
Got down to a size 6. Kept that weight off for over 2 years but then I just started letting my old habits back into my life & viola! Now I have to lose it all over again! I feel them same as you..how the heck did I get here again!? Now our August trip is coming up & I don't want to be overweight walking around Disney in the August heat so I have decided to get back to WW's & begin again. I have lost 7 lbs since the beginning of April so that is a good motivator.

You are right, we can be sad where we are or we can do something to change it. Beth, just the fact that you posted your thoughts means you are heading in the right direction.

We're in this together! Let's be as healthy and look as good as we possibly can for our August trips!
