The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 6

All right I feel like the DDA village idiot!! Kate has designed me an absolutely beautiful signature and I can't figure out how to get it from her to my signature! HELP!!!

Hmmm. I wonder what your favorite movie is??!!! It's beautiful.

Dinner was so much fun. Julia and Lynn are wonderful. We had a really good time. We talked for 3+ hours. Poor waiter, we didn't even order for almost an hour 'cause we couldn't find the time to look at the menu. I had the Thai Steak Salad, Lynn had crab cakes and a salad, and Julia had the salmon salad. And of course we had Diet Coke to drink. I think we each had 3 or 4 glasses. All of us got cheesecake to go. Hunka, I got John the Oreo chocolate! I've had a little of my Carrot Cake Cheesecake. It's so rich. We're going to do a family cookout this summer with the kids and husbands. It was wonderful to meet some DDAers!

Here's a picture of us after dinner. BTW, Lynn commented on how her b**b makes my waist look so tiny! I told her she has to be in all my pictures from now on.

Let's go with cheeky! That's a good substitution for saucy. I had no idea it meant turtle time in British speak. How funny

It's great that you all had such a good time. The picture is great. Is it just me or does anyone else think that Lynn and Denise could be sisters?

What neat pictures. Jacob just got his yellow (gold) belt last week. He just started karate last month, so he's thrilled! His dojo is really small and there are only 4 others in Jacob's class, so there's a lot of individual attention. I can't wait to watch him progress through the belts. His self-confidence has really grown!

I just have to thank Kate for my beautiful signature. Lady and the Tramp is one of my all time favorite movies. If I'd been thinking ahead when I signed up on the DIS, I would have come up with a name based on Lady and the Tramp, but I just came to ask a couple of questions, so I didn't get too creative! Oh well. Guess I'll keep my tag and my post count, and just enjoy the signature that Kate created! When I saw it this morning, I almost cried. It's so perfect! I don't know how she did it, but it's exactly what I pictured in my mind when I requested it. Thank you, Queen Kate, thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!

Yup! They are in a little alcove immediately to the left when you enter the turnstiles.

The new Magical Beginnings program offers value travel packages, entertainment, targeted planning tools and a host of services and amenities to make navigating Disney parks with children 5 and younger easier than ever. There is a even a travel season designated just for "little ones." In addition to the previously announced Magic Your Way vacation package that includes the free dining plan, available for stays between August 13 and September 30, here are some other highlights of what's been dubbed "Little Ones Travel Time":

-- a series of shows called "Playhouse Disney in Concert" (presented by Huggies and Pull-Ups) will feature a variety of kid crowd-pleasers. The award-winning Australian foursome The Wiggles will perform multiple shows daily, August 29- September 1. Other shows will include: The Doodlebops; Johnny & the Sprites, featuring Johnny Tartaglia; Dan Zanes and more. In addition, the new "Mickey's Magic Show" created by Feld Entertainment, will make its first-ever park appearance.

-- Fantasyland at Magic Kingdom will open an hour early on select days for Disney guests and their small-fry for favorites such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant, it's a small world and Peter Pan's Flight, and the play area, Pooh's Playful Spot. Plus, youngsters can meet favorite characters during the special edition Extra Magic Hours. While guests must have Resort ID and valid ticketing for Fantasyland Extra Magic Hours, there is no additional charge to enjoy this extra time in the parks. This early access allows families with young ones to get an early start to their day and maximize park time before heading back to their Disney resort for an afternoon break.

She also confirmed the MNSSHP as starting 9/15.

I considered changing our dates to see some of this, but we'd miss MNSSHP for any of the good concerts and it will be hotter so we'll keep what we have. Hope it helps someone though!

Oh yeah...for anyone who doesn't get the AllEars Newsletter, there was an announcement about the Magical Beginnings thing that Kate mentioned a few weeks ago.

And a new character breakfast/lunch at MGM featuring JoJo and Goliath and two of the Little Einsteins.

We're a little bummed about that here, because we don't have any preschoolers and were hoping for Toy Story or Incredibles, but I know that there may be people here who are interested.

Hey all

I am glad you all like your new signatures!!

I got bad news today - I had a follow up with my doctor this afternoon - he said my knee muscles are strengthening but my knee is not responding as it should and he immediately stopped PT - I am going for an MRI in about 20 minutes and he is HOPING that he might be able to surgically correct it -

I don't know what it will mean if he can't

I am walking out the door now and won't know anything until I see him again next Wed. - I could really use some

My DH made it for me. Bought the board, did some fancy work aroud the edges and added nickle nails.
