Just got in from dinner with Denise and Julia. It was really great to be able to put a face with a name. We talked for over 3 hours and I really enjoyed their company. Our waiter came to ask us about 3 - 4 times if we were ready to order but we hadn't even looked at our menu yet since we were to busy talking. Denise has a picture of all 3 of us that she will post later.

Good night to all.............Lynn

see- I never saw that one!! Sorry - shared brain must be in somebody else's head right now!

I hate it when you posting and you miss a post. I missed one Kate posted tonight. I did find it, but can’t believe I missed it, I think she was getting the stapler for my un-birthday.

Ok, these are the milestones from the monster thread. The second name is the next post after the milestone (ie. 1001, 2001, 3001, etc.). I also have comments on whether it was celebrated, surprise, steal, etc. It was fun reading them.

The details from this thread will have to wait until tomorrow. I am off to bed. Talk to you all tomorrow. I'm sure I'll get harassed about this but it really didn't take that long (maybe 1/2 hour). Good night DDA friends.

What a mess when I tried to paste it. I'll edit in a minute and get them back up in a decent format.

Denise is a milestone hog...

and somehow I am not shocked!!!

Don't you love hanging out with us?!!? Where else can you share your obsession and know that somehow we all UNDERSTAND!!!

I also have the tape dispenser and the pen and pad holder.
The set was a Christmas gift from my parents last year. :goodvibes

And yes I do like hanging out here :cloud9: doesn't seem to be drama like on the CB.

Guess I need to be getting to bed, eyes are bluring and 5:00 am will be here befor I know it. See ya all in the morning.

I remember mine because it was slowing down that night and not many people were on and I kept waiting for someone else to take it. then I think Kate said go for it and I did hoping I would actually get it and not have my puter freeze up :lmao: And my lame design.

I know we kid a lot, but this just got me all teary! I haven't even met you and Marti, but I think you two must be one of the greatest couples of all time. You seem to compliment each other very well! How lucky is Matthew to have such obviously fun, loving parents!

Now that I caught up!! You all were chatty while I was at dinner.

Anyway, I have to brag on my oldest. Cassidy has a passion (notice I said passion and not knack) for volleyball so she joined the 8th grade volleyball team...she has been on C team all season long and they played the quarterfinal game tonight. She was so excited, all but one of her serves made it over the net!!! On her way home she asked if we were going out I said not unless you are paying and so that's what she did!! She paid for us to go to Chick-Fil A. She really does have her sweet moments!! :teeth:

Right across from Chick Fil A is the Disney Store the cast member said that all snowglobes are on sale starting tomorrow!! Tshirts are also on sale...not as cute as the DDA's but still inexpensive!!

very sweet!! I was not so good in 8th grade - but rocked at VB in 9th grade - I had a killer serve (I once aced 13 points in one game until my coach told me to stop  - I might have been slightly competitive) and then I threw out my arm in softball that year - thus ending my VB career - anyway my point is - she still had time if she has the passion!! Just don't let her play softball!! ;)

Trust me - there is always bad with good, but with Paul there is more good than bad. Please lets have a lot of the DDA pixie dust - the big lug is up for a great job that I think he wants; we could use all the crossed fingers and toes that we can get!!!

Ask and you shall receive!

I have a question about boys:

Cause I just don't understand them!!! Julia was never a physical child - she likes to run around and dance

but Nick - wants to fight and play star wars and jump off things and turns ANYTHING into a sword - he likes to hit - you know like Karate and stuff

He's not being malicious - that is just how he plays -

is this normal and if so how long is it going to last?

Hi Everyone!! We got back into town Sunday afternoon from our trip to the Southwest. We had a really great trip and loved everything that we did and saw. I can't believe I am over 400 pages behind, so there is absolutely no way I can catch up. Can anyone provide a summary of the last 12 days or so?

Our trip took us to Las Vegas, the Grand Canyon, Lake Powell, Bryce Canyon, Zion, and back to Las Vegas. Everything was perfect, until I threw my back out on the way home in the Chicago airport. So my back is killing me and it is hard to sit at the computer. I went to the chiropractor today, and it actually was way worse after. I had to call my DH to drive me home it hurt so bad.

Also I have offered to make autograph books for a co-worker who is leaving Sat. for a WDW trip. His daughters are 3 and 1 (celebrating her b-day while there). I hope I can do it in time, with all the catching up I need to do, and with the back problem everything is more difficult.

I will be trying to keep up again... I hate not being able to read all the old posts.

I wish I could say I am glad to be back, but vacation was a lot more fun than coming home to work, housework, back pains etc.

Ellen

welcome home

Good for her!!! I was never good a volleyball - it hurt my wrists too much! So glad she did well. It always boosts their confidence!!

Last night Christopher couldn't fall asleep and about 9:30 I went to put something in the room next to his and I could hear him talking to himself. He was saying "Yeah, baby, you wanna piece of me?" Then Hiyah (the karate chop thing).

Boy, was that obvious!!!!! She had 7 from the monster thread. She stole one right out from under the noses of a couple of people. She was totally surprised & felt really bad (or at least pretended to). :rotfl2:

Okay I had to giggle because that's exactly what she wants to do!!
I asked her when would she have time to do all this? In her sleep?
I loved volleyball in Junior High....and we are now going out as a family and practicing. Abi and I beat Cassidy and Jim last game...only because I was the only one who could get the ball over the soccer goal consistently. It's fun to have an activity for the whole family to do!!

Thank you ma'am.

Anytime! If you need a DDA recipe, just ask. I've got them (most of them, at least) in a file on my desktop. I just keep trying them and loving them!
