HA! I actually haven't made it in a while. May need to buy the stuff to make it this weekend. It is so good and lots of flavor. Has a little kick to it.
It sounds good. What is kitchen bouquet?

One of the women I teach with (actually she is BK's teacher) is watching Davis and Brantley-Kate for me. John will meet us at the doctor. So if y'all can spare some prayers for him, I'd appreciate it.

it comes in a little brown bottle with a yellow label. It adds an "earthy" flavor and makes the dish a darker brown.

It's a liquid that turns things brown and adds a little flavor. I add it to cream of mushroom soup to make the gravy brown when I make pork chops and rice.

Kate, why haven't you told everyone about the great lunch Nick had today?

Seriously, I told Kevin what an ingenious idea this was at dinner, when I provided Alyssa with four things on her plate and she ate practically nothing!!!

Amy :)

That was a great lunch - but are you saying it failed with Alyssa tonight?!?! :confused3

At the Museum Center they have what they call toddler bites -

and it is a small serving cup filled with your item of choice - you could buy either 3 or 4 of them - 3 were $2.80 and 4 were $3.20

the choices were
chicken
mac and cheese
fishy crackers
mandarin oranges
hot dogs
tater tots
milk
(there were about 6 other choices that I don't remember)

they were the perfect serving size and I was able to get him a little bit of variety and he ate most of it (not the chicken b/c it was grilled not nuggets!)

It was one of the best lunch ideas I have ever seen!!

Can you tell I'm not a big cooker?

I'm going to print this recipe off and try it sometime. Sounds like something good to have on a cold winter day.

It's actually perfect in the summer for picnics and cookouts. It is wonderful with hamburgers and hot dogs.

I think Marti is going to be pretty ticked with us!!!

She is going to have a lot of reading to do!! I hope she is having fun at bunco!

For those going to the doctor tomorrow(2 legged and 4) prayers and pixie dust!!

Jen- On May 1st it will be 3 years living with my grandparents...I seriously think I escaped from a mental institution to have survived this long.!! I totally empathize with you and the need to get out!! Hope all works out in the end.

I tried to apply the concept at dinner, providing her with four of her favorites, but my toddler didn't feel like eating, I guess. :confused3

Hi, Marti! I'm taking the kids to Chick Fil A for lunch before Rees' doctor appt. Oh, and BK's teacher is taking them to her daughter's school to eat lunch at "big" school. They are so excited. I think it'll be great for them to see what is coming in the fall.

That's what she gets for spending time with other women!

So what did Nick have for lunch?
ETA: Nevermind. That is a good idea.

Just so you all know, Dawn's not being very nice in PMs tonight. :teeth:
