I cannot believe that her ticker is still not right! No 06 and no pumpkin.
I think because the ticker reads "5 months 4 weeks and 1 day" which is essentially 6 months, the pumpkin is off the ticker. That's the only thing I can come up with. :confused3

Great News to pass along!! :woohoo:

All my hard work has paid off.
We excepted an offer on the house.
$89,000.00 more than we paid for it, less than 3 years ago.
Passed inspection with flying colors.
All is set for a May 15 closing date.
I have an apartment @ work ready for move in May 1.
School isn't out till middle of June.
Then I start looking fo a transfer.
This means I will have to move 2x's instead of 1.
I think my scanity is worth it though.

I can't tell you all how much you have helped me get through this.

Thank you.
Thank all of you.

Jo -- that is so wonderful -- I am so happy for you! (and Ramiro, too)

Good morning, Tammi, Elin, Chanon, Vicki and anyone else who is up! :sunny:

We had a cool front come through last night, and it is supposed to only be 80 today. At least there might not be any more rolling black-outs. One of our friends was without power for almost 24 hours in 101 degree heat! UUUUGGGHHH!

Hope everyone has a fantastic day! :sunny:

I wonder what happened to spring for everyone. Ohio always skips spring. It goes from winter, to seeing the orange flowers on the freeways, to almost winter and then back to winter. :teeth:
I'm glad the temp came down some for you! I hope it doesn't get too hot too soon! Time to invest in a generator!

Marci -- glad it is going to be marginally cooler for you all. On Saturday it was 87 here and we were running the AC; on Monday we had to turn the heat back on. LOVE Spring in Virginia!

Chanon - for a number of years we lived in a small town midway between Columbus and Cincinnati and I always thought spring there was beautiful. Do you think it is because you are up near the lake?

Good morning to you too! It looks like a beautiful day here. We've been having 70 degree weather which is just right for me.

It could be. :) Of course I could be over exagerating slightly too.
Weather in NE Ohio is odd. I grew up in a town that was right on the edge of lake effect snow, so snow that is 7-11 inches deep was normal to us between the months of November and March. Common enough that my senior year our school used all the possible snow days that they are allowed to take in a school year.
Now I live about an hour south of where I grew up. We don't get the lake effect here, but now we get the storms that come up from the south. Two weeks ago we had the ground covered in hail.
Then once spring hits we get the orange barrels everywhere. Seeing these barrels is an Ohioan sign that spring has officially arrived!

I need someone to congratulate me and Alan is away, so I'm turning to my family for back pats. I made my goal today of finishing one of my final projects for the semester!!!! It's not even due until May 5, but it's done and submitted to the Professor's email. Hooray! It's such a load off my chest. Now I have to create a web page for a library with a link to a blog, take one final exam (ick) and I'll be done until September! Hooray for me! I made it through this semester! :cheer2:  :cheer2:

I know this isn't a big deal to everyone, but it's HUGE to me! Thanks for letting me cheer!

That IS a bid deal! Go Glynis! :cheer2:

Ok, everyone, go hug your children right now! Alan just called me from work. He was called in tonight because of an Amber Alert. A man who is separated from his wife, kidnapped their 3 children today. He called his wife and told her that he was going to kill them and himself and they would all be reunited in heaven. He drove on the Interstate, abruptly left the road, cut through an alfalfa field and drove his truck up onto a cliff. He called his wife once again so she could say goodbye to the kids. Then he told the kids he was going to drive off the cliff and they would all go to heaven. Luckily, the police saw him cut off the Interstate and surrounded his car within moments. The kids are all fine, and he is in jail, now!

Makes you just want to hug and hold on to your babies, doesn't it?

Oh my gosh! I'm so glad they're ok...... how scary

That's a good question. :confused3 But it did just turn from 6 months to 5 months blah blah blah at midnite, so it must be confused.

:rotfl: That's hilarious! I've never seen it do that. :confused3

Has anyone seen this yet? What will they think of next?!

http://disney.go.com/inside/issues/stories/v060418.html

Oh yeah! It's powered by Sprint, so I want to see how hard it would be to change ours!

It's supposed to have the same technology as Pal Mickey, plus all sorts of Disney ringtones, wallpapers, announcements, etc.

But mostly the Pal Mickey-type capabilities would have me in a second! :thumbsup2
