Wasn't her DH going in for an operation? I remember her making a pecan pie and then posting the recipe... has she posted since then?

I think she said it was her BIL having the operation. And the pie was like a last "real food" request.
I hope all is well with her.

I love how this group cares about people, it's wonderful.

so according to my calculations the DDA is 50 strong -

5 us will be there - so that means we need to have 45 drinks on behalf of the DDA

that is 11 drinks a day - WOW - that could be a really interesting Segway Tour!!

I think you should all start a slush fund for us!! or would that be lush fund?

Oh boy. Maybe we can Disney to implement a new DDE plan....Disney Drinking Experience.

UUUGGGHHHH!!!! That's what we have here, just ugly outside and it looks like rain soon!!!! These kids want to go outside SO bad and I want them to go outside SO bad!!!! At this point though it is going to be awhile before they can go in the back yard, it is really muddy!!!

If I remember correctly she lives in my time zone...Mountain. I don't remember her saying anything about a trip. Maybe she got a spontaneous trip? It may also be her kiddos spring break. I'll do some searching I think I might have her email addy

Yes, she is in Utah, 2 hours behind us East coasters.

I wish I were going to be there with you all. On the 18th I'll be in a gym sitting on hard bleachers listening to a middle school orchestra concert. Then it's off to Albany for the weekend to sit on hard bleachers in a steamy pool area for dd's synchronized swim meet.

It seems there was a need for a lot of Pixie Dust and hugs in our absence, so here's some belated from us:

I have a doctor's appointment today...not looking forward to getting on the scale, but I can't wait to hear Matthew's heartbeat again.

Hey Cincinnatians, I remember last year that the day of Alyssa's party was cold and gloomy, but the next day was beautiful and the weather from there on out truly turned into spring. Maybe the same will happen this year!

Oh, and I was going to pretend I didn't know this, but I don't keep secrets well, so I'll tell you all that Kevin was secretly communicating with Kate and Marti behind my back about sending me on the DDA trip as a surprise. He admitted this to me in Epcot a few days ago...followed by, "but now that we're moving, we obviously can't afford this." It was such a sweet gesture, though. So, I'm definitely not going, but I couldn't drink with you all anyway!

Okay, I really need to get back to making birthday favor bags. Talk to you soon!

AHA! That's how he did it! He refused to tell me how he was "secretly" communicating with you...so at least he kept that part a secret.

He is incredibly sweet! Poor guy had a four hour city council meeting last night and he had to go back to work today.
