Okay -

I know you all aren't doctors but I wonder if anyone has ever experienced this:

my knee buckles when I walk - it used to happen occasionally then every month - then every week - then every day and now 2-3 times a day - clearly I have an issue with my knee - I am giong to the doctor but just wondering if anyone has ever experienced this

should I bypass my regular doctor and go straight to a specialist?

Wow. I told DH he can't listen to the radio with the girls in the car because of things like this.
But Kate said it... I thought it was ok to let them watch movies like Chicken Little.
What to do.

I may have to check out Chicken Little as well. My boys have been watching it a lot lately. My DH7 came in to my bedroom last night, and said "Mom, do you know what whiz means?" I waited a second, took a breath, and then said "What do you think it means?" He said, to pee. So I asked him where he heard it? Chicken Little!

My advice is to go straight to a specialist. Your doctor will just send you to an orthopedist. A coworker of mine is going in on the 4th for orthroscopic surgery on his knee. Does it hurt when it happens? I hope you are going to be ok to walk around the parks.

You crack me up!! Although that is why I don't want to go - it was bad right before I went to Disney last year and I was fine - I really think that maybe I strengthened it there - maybe I just need some physical therapy - I really have no interest in surgery!!!!! It doesn't hurt but my leg seems tired and achy when it happens

I feel for you, knee problems are no fun!!! I have really bad knee problems that will eventually require surgery. I have deteriorated the cartilage on the sides of both of my knees and once in awhile they dislocate, it is to me the most excruciating pain in the world (I think childbirth pales in comparison), I have to physically pop my knee back into place. I am cringing just thinking about it!!!

Anyway, is your knee buckling in the front or the back? I would definitely go to a specialist!!! if you need a recommendation my mom works for wonderful orthopedic Drs..

Sometimes insurance companies require that you get a recommendation from your regular doctor to see the specialist, so double check that first.

Are your knees buckling completely? ie do you lose your balance or crumple to the floor. Is it just one or both? Get thee to a doctor pronto....got a trip report to live up to!!

I was just over on the restaurant board checking the status of the MGM character breakfast and the latest rumor is that it is not going to happen at all

You've got quite an adventurer on your hands.....but really peas BEFORE the ice cream?

The stuff that's on the tv and movies anymore make it hard to find anything decent to watch or let the kids watch by themselves.....still trying to figure out how some of the girls friends are allowed to watch Desperate Housewives....I am almost 35 and I won't let myself watch it .

Thanks for all the good wishes on DH's new job....it is only temporary but it pays better than anything else and is a M-F job.....so for the first time in a bunch of years he will have a set schedule AND have the weekends off.

Denise - The new siggie pic is so cute! I can't believe how grown up the figs look over just the last few months, especially BK.

I thought the same thing last night, they do look older than the last pics.

Just one of them buckles and it is completely - I can usually tell when it is happening and can stop myself from falling - DH just shakes his head when it happens now - it is only my left knee

I don't need a referal so I think I will go straight to the ortho - there is a practice near my DH's office - so I will see when I can get in there

Actually, I am dieting so I will let it slide this time!!!! To bad it's not NYE again because I am doing really well cutting back on Coke this time!!!
