Per Chris

The Solara has an immobilizer key which is a computer chip inside his key and the key must be in the ignition to start the car. Therefore an aftermarket remote starter will not work. Toyota has a remote starter system that will work, but it needs to be hard wired into the car. Your looking at a labor cost of 3 hours plus the cost of the part. Chris says that he can find out the cost tomorrow if you'd like, but it sounds like a very expensive gift.
No, but thanks. I appreciate the info. Oh well, it's the thought that counts, right?

Hi, I am a lurker here and I think I remember reading that some of you have gotten Disney window clings, were they at the Dollar Tree and if so were they with the Christmas stuff?

Also Tammi, I just wanted to comment on your situation, I work at a law firm and I think most of our settlement agreements that we prepare the custodial parent usually gets the children for Christmas morning. If you would like I can look at some that I have prepared and let you know how we have worked out the times and so forth. Whatever happens though, I wish you the best.

Thanks,

Libby

Where can I buy tank tops for adult and child sizes that can be used for iron-ons? I want to get some for our June trip next summer. This is the trip that is the most important to me of all that we have planned.

I really want to show my mom, sister, niece & nephew a wonderful time at Disney. My ex-BIL isn't in the picture so if anything ever happens to my sister (which we hope never happens), Chuck & I would be the kids guardian. We don't get to see them often enough and whenever we do, I'm trying to build major memories and family bonds.
Have you tried jiffyshirt.com? I have always had very good service from them and have been very happy with price and quality. If you look at say a women's shirt they will tell you the men's and kid's shirts that match if they have matching shirts. I really like the Gildan products.

So I wouldn't be lying to my sister if I told her that I could get a 15% discount at Pop Century for June 6-14?
Wouldn't be lying.

Can I renew annual passes at all Guest Services as well? I'm concerned about getting the renewal and DVC discounts. Or should I order them before I go?
I don't know about the DVC discount. Can you call a DVC CM and ask them?

Alright deb--i had to make my signature "cowboys!" again!
Cute!

Sticking wasn't a real problem, the ears were a little fragile so instead of dipping them I ended up pouring the chocolate over them with a spoon and cutting the excess off after it hardened. After I cut out the first ones I put the excess krispies in the microwave for about 15 seconds and pressed them back out so that I could cut out more.
What a great idea. I never would have thought of that.

Bernadette thanks for the info on Garden Grocer. I did ask them to call my cell # when they arrive. I would rather meet them, then have to wait for bell service. We will see what happens!
:wizard: Hope you like them. I think I'm going to use them in January. Joe will NOT share a water bottle with anyone. When I went in November with Lizzy we just shared a britta water bottle. Joe won't do that so I think I'll order water and a few snacks from them.

Wow. Lots of my friends need pixie dust today! My one friend had that abscess on her leg, and she thinks it is coming back. She has to go to the Dr. on Wednesday to find out if she will need surgery. She was calling to ask me to watch her little charge but I have an appt. on Wed at the same time as her appt. so I can't help.:guilty:
Another friend is in ICU due to complications from lap band surgery. Her bosses are on vacation and don't know she's in the hospital. I just called ExMomboss to see if she can contact my friend's boss - they are best friends.
ExMomboss is out of her office today with a bacterial infection - she sounds awful.
Another former Momboss of mine is stalking my friends. Apparently she is looking for a new nanny.:scared: NOT good. My friends do NOT want to get tangled up in that, so let's hope they can all successfully avoid her.:scared1:
:wizard: Hope everything works out for everyone!

Since I am not puting up a real tree this year...I decided to put a real wreath on the front door...it's a balsam and it smells very nice.

Cute! Love your new signature photo too.

I'm trying to add borders on my photopass pictures and it is sooooooooo slow!:surfweb:
Tell me about it! I have to work on my November photos!

the dda sickies has invaded this house. I thought Olivia's allergies were acting up on wed. well sat I woke up with a sore throat. body aches, Itchy eyes.

yesterday all 3 of us girls had a cough and stuffy nose. Virginia and In have runny noses today. I have no energy.
:wizard: Hope everyone recovers quickly!

Calling all cooks. ;)

Say I want to have a small get together (about 20 people) and since its winter it needs to be inside. I don't want to serve anything to busy or heavy. Would just Hors D'Oeuvres be enough?

If so what would you serve? have any recipes?
I would probably just buy frozen stuff from BJ's. ;)

I did 18 loads of laundry today........

Now the house seems too quiet with the washer & dryer off.
I couldn't do 18 loads of laundry in 1 day with my new washer if I wanted to.

How CUTE! Both Stepanie and her pillow!!!!!!

Thanks to you all for the advice and opinions. I'm still just as confused as ever. I think I need to talk to him more about times that he would want them Christmas Eve/Day. I would be willing to let him have them Christmas Eve for dinner and Mass, as long as they are home by 9. Then I'd be willing to give them to him Christmas Day at 1 if I can have them home around 5:30. Then we could have our Christmas dinner around 6. That sounds like we would all get something that we want. I know what you all are saying about them getting older and it being more about family time together instead of just gifts. That is what got me thinking about this whole agreement thing to begin with. Thanks again.

ETA: And yes, I do have to be locked into some type of arrangement. It can't be left up to chance. However, we can deviate from whatever arrangement we choose, like if one of us wants to go out of town or something, with agreement from the other party. This sucks. Ok, I'm done talking about it.
Tammi-I don't have much to add other than the kids may not be up til 1pm when they are teens.

Hi Libby! :wave2: I got the clings in the Christmas section, they were just kind of hanging off of the edges of the aisles, if that makes any sense.

Ill send you a PM

Great, thanks!

Tammi...

you and I have had many conversations on ex's...I think it's smart of you to look ahead...because the years will sure pass quicker than any of us want them to...

from my perspective...I wouldn't do anything so permanent...meaning, some kind of rotational situation would be better...it gets him in the mode of having to be more flexible....and the more flexibility you force on him early in the game...the better for you. I hope that makes sense. I know that it may make you a little sad if you don't have them xmas morning...but in the long haul it may be a more equitable split for you.

I really agree with everything Kristine says. I think that maybe rotating years might be better in the long run.

I feel better...I only use firefox...no wonder I never saw it...:rotfl:

It must be something in Internet Exploer. I do not see it in Firefox but I switched to Internet Explorer and sure enough there was a red x in a box. Not sure why it is doing that in Internet Explorer.

Do any of you Southwest experts know how last minute I can cancel a trip and still get a credit for the whole fare?

ETA: No, I'm not canceling my trip! :rotfl: I'm looking for a ding fare in case someone can come with me! :teeth:

Who me??:confused3 ;) ;)

I can dream right.:thumbsup2

On another issue, does anyone know anything about remote car starters?

Libby - Hi there. Thanks, but that's okay, you don't need to go searching for me. I do appreciate the offer though.

Elin - what has your family decided to do for Christmas this year?
