Well tonight I went to BJ's. My Mom wanted to go tomorrow, she doesn't have a membership card. I told her I wanted to go tonight so I could stay home all day tomorrow. Although on the way home I had a call from one of my Service Unit managers asking me about the Roller Skating party tomorrow and if I was bringing my girls. I questioned her about it, she wanted her leader with the same name not me. I asked if she would like me to come and told me it was perfectly fine if I don't come. So I am not going, but feel guilty. :rolleyes1

Keep your fingers crossed I have no phone calls wanting me to work tomorrow.

I have to get my oil changed. I realized tonight that I have way to many miles since my last change less then 3 months ago. I could do it myself but have a coupon for a $9.99 oil change and tire rotation. I'm not sure if I can buy the oil and filter for that price.

That is an awesome coupon. You could not buy oil and filter for that price and you don't have to do the work :thumbsup2

So, I had a very new experience on this last Disney trip. I have osteoarthritis in my knees and hip, and normally I do fine with my medication and some extra OTC meds on our trips but that wasn't the case this time. So DH insisted that we rent a wheelchair and give my knees a rest. Well, I was amazed at how rude some people can be, we were parked, waiting to watch the Power Rangers at MGM, not that I was overly excited about seeing them but we were right there, well, right as they came out several people pushed their way in front of me, completely blocking my view.

I would never do that, just like I would never cut in front of a child and block their view.

We found it amazing how rude people can be to even children in wheelchairs. On the one hand it was wonderful to not have Hunter in daily pain, but watching the reaction of people was hurtful at times. Everyone seems to have an it's all about me attitude and forgets to treat others nicely.

My sister just loves her puppy. She is so sweet and cute. She is the ultimate cuddle bunny :goodvibes

That is wonderful. I really miss my dogs

Thank goodness you all only posted a few pages.... it took 45 minutes on this piece of crap computer to get through it -- and about 3 minutes for this sentence to show up.

We're leaving very shortly, much earlier than anticipated. I'll get there in a minute, first "the reveal".

As expected, my MIL was a nutcase. As somewhat expected, she wanted to IMMEDIATELY tell everyone she knew, to which we promptly told her we were NOT telling people yet, it's entirely too early, etc. Well before she could finish her dinner, RIGHT in front of us, she went to the phone. She said "I won't tell them it's 2, I'll just say you're expecting and it's still early". Kyle asked her not to, and yet she then called all 4 local relatives. Oh, and the first words out of her mouth with each were "Jennifer and Kyle are having TWO BABIES!" :headache:

***?! I was ticked, but trying to freaking finish dinner. Well before dessert even, many of them had called back with questions. One had OBVIOUSLY said, from her side of the conversation, that it was early and she was surprised we were telling anyone yet. To which my MIL promptly replied, "Well they are very excited". EXCUSE ME?!?!? WE have really showed NO excitement this early, and #($*@# told you not to tell anyone.

This was so small, but pissed me off even more since I was already reeling. MIL had asked all sorts of questions (mostly, it was all we talked about the entire dinner) and so I had told her - mostly so she'd drop it - that I am sick from about 11am until bedtime every day, that my migraines are in full force, blah blah blah. Mostly, described to her that yes, I feel like **** and I'm not really interested in this conversation right now.

So what does she tell everyone, repeatedly? "Oh, Jen feels great -- they are just so excited".

Needless to say, I went to bed fairly early. Kyle came in and apologized for her behavior, but it doesn't change it. This morning, I'm just feeling guilty that all I could think of while trying to fall asleep is how to NOT involve her in anything else with this pregnancy until I absolutely have to. :guilty:

So, that was fun.

But this is even better ....

At 4:30am, she's up getting ready for work and wakes both of us up. Apparently, she let my dog (8 pounds, don't forget!) outside while she was showering without really watching. She's usually great with her, but apparently she forgot something important. They live in, well, pretty much the middle of nowhere in a farmtown, so they have rodents in the yard and fields -- possums, field mice, etc. Of course they don't want these creatures hanging around house (obviously), so they have rodent poison all around the outside of the house, which my dog ingested a large portion of.

So, we called the poison control center, they told us to watch for her to bleed out, etc and then we called her vet. She wants to see her when they open today for a Vitamin K administration (she should be fine, but we aren't in the clear for about 4-5 days).

Great times, huh?

And then just for fun, MIL tells me with great joy this morning, that she's so excited to take her announcement to work to show everyone.

:faint: :furious:

I'm so sorry that she only thinks about herself. I understand that she is excited, but that gives her no excuse for totally ignoring your feelings. I really hope that your dog is ok. I can't imagine poisoning my yard. What if a child gets into all that poison? Very very scary.

Debbie - Sorry to hear how rude people were! Unfortunately that seems to happen pretty often.
I did get one of each of the $1 park pins in August, and DS has a whole set, too. I am sure I will get more to trade since I will be buying MVMCP pins and other special holiday pins at MGM & Epcot. I am bummed that we won't make it to DTD to get those pins.

Jen just called and he Grandfather passed away at 7 AM. She sounds ok and said her family is doing ok, keeping busy. She was working on a photo tribute to him. She is still at the shore, but hopes to log on soon and update us all.
:grouphug:
Jen - I am very sorry for your loss. You and your family are in my prayers. :grouphug:

It has been brought to my attention elsewhere that my previous post might have been taken incorrectly. My MIL is the type of person we KNEW would tell. It's not so much the telling, as the blatant disregard for what we had asked -- and so quickly, while we were still sitting with her! {ETA: and that she lied about half of it to boot!}

From your replies, it seems you all understood that, but I wanted to make sure. I wouldn't have gotten pregnant if I couldn't take the "unsolicited advice". It's the biggest thing (of all the pregnancy woes) that I have dreaded since day one, and I knew she would be the first and most frequent culprit. Still, I was shocked at how little she respected us, I suppose.

And the dog, that's just another thing entirely! :rotfl:

:confused3 Sorry you had to deal with some rude guests. Maybe because there are more people going to WDW now but I have noticed more rude behavior.

Hi! Thanksgiving in Detroit went well. Ended up buying a new Christmas tree (prelit! whoo hoo!) at Meyers and a printer from Target. Other than that just a new signature thanks to all the other festive's from the DDA! :rotfl:

I hope everyone has a great rest of the holiday weekend - and enjoy the day!
Congrats on your new tree! Love your new Goofy!

Oh yeah Stitch and Mickey were going to and they were dressed in their PJ's as well. I literally look half asleep as well. I must have been because I don't have any pictures of the actual meet.

Jennifer - WOW! Your MIL is a piece of work. I hope you get to leave there very, very soon. Next time, maybe try heading to Ottawa, Canada! ;)
:thumbsup2 Sounds like a great idea! :wizard: Hope your dog is OK!!!:wizard:

Deb love your holiday signature, sorry about the rude people :sad2:

Becky I am enjoying your TR & pictures!

It is snowing here, it is so pretty! I have my curtains open so I can watch. I am only enjoying it because I am not working today & do not have to go out in it :rotfl:

I am watching POC's on tv right now, what a relaxing day ::yes::

Debbie,

That is so sad when people do not think before they act. I remember I actually said something to one family who did that to my sister who was in a wheelchair when we were there in 2005. We had been sitting in one location for over half an hour and just as the fireworks were starting, people started standing in front of us. I asked them to sit down or move. Got some looks but I stood my ground.

I am going to ditto this!

Terry love the gifts you received!

LOVED the gifts--the pillow is just great! i love it!

Becky - I am loving your DCL TR! My favorite photo? The one of your toes getting ready to touch down! very cute...

Jennifer - WOW! Your MIL is a piece of work. I hope you get to leave there very, very soon. Next time, maybe try heading to Ottawa, Canada! ;)
Becky-I loved parasialing! its great, isnt it?

Jennifer-i was shocked r eading about your MIL! wow

Yes, Jen, and replace that Cowboys thing in your signature! To suggest Mickey would be a Cowboys fan... sheesh! ;)

Jennifer, I am so sorry you had to go thru that. I just hate it when the in-laws try to get involved when you specifically asked they do not. Please do not stress about this because you do not need the extra worry. If you have caller ID, monitor your phone and just ask Kyle to listen to the messages.
I sure hope your puppy will be okay. That absolutely made me cry when I read that. The puppy cannot tell you it hurts like we can.

I can still remember when Hal and I got pregnant with our first. I absolutely knew at four weeks. I went to the DR and he confirmed it for me. We call my mom and the idiot and they were so very happy. We get to Hal's parent's house and tell them and she looks at me and says "Are you sure?" HELLO, I had the DR confirm it. I made it a point to not tell her with the second and third pregnancy until I was showing. I wanted her to see that I was sure.

The dog is doing ok so far. She should be absolutely fine, we'll just have to keep an eye on her. Thankfully, the "poison" is a very common blood thinner type drug, so we know exactly what side effects to look for! :rotfl:
