After a cup of coffee and a shower I felt "normal" enough to take DS to the Dr. Luckily we are right down the street from the office. He got the Flu Mist this year. He was really nervous, but now he says it wasn't bad. Hopefully he won't have any funky side effects from it.

I need to be cleaning, but I don't feel like it.

Robyn - Good luck with all of your stuff! I am sure it will all work out!:wizard:

I am down the shore with my grandparents. One of the women from hospice was here when i got here and you guys were right, she is wonderful..Seems like a great lady! She ordered a hospital bed and wheelchair and they are being delivered right now. She also got him some medicine that will help keep him comfortable.

I found out today that they are pretty sure the cancer has spread throughout the bone and to the brain. He is deteriorating very quickly and the change from just the last few days in amazing. He is slurring his words and its very hard to see him so i had to escape to the computer for a few minutes.

I wont be staying the night, so ill be home in a little bit-no plans tonight so im sure ill be posting a ton!

I just showed my kids our elves. Alyssa's eyes got so big when it first started. They were cracking up. Thanks Tia.

My kids thought they were hysterical too. They are now making there own elves. I've seen a Mickey Elf and a Goofy Elf so far. :rotfl:

We had bowling league this morning. Colby wanted a bowling party so we told him that league was his party and he had a lot of guests :rotfl: I brought brownies and frosting. We sang to him and shared the goodies. After bowling I let the 5 kids do laser tag. Since Nick had a bowling/laser tag party, Colby thinks that is what he got too  I did have to buy the bowling pin for the whopping price of $1 in order for him to have everything that Nick did. He was thrilled. He has asked for hot dogs for dinner tonight so we'll have a little dinner party for the 11 of us. My mom made homemade baked beans so it will work out well. I'll need to run to the store later.

 and prayers for you and your family as you go through this.
My Grandmothers 2nd husband died from brain cancer and yes he started slurring his words and had a hard time walking as his balance was off.

I'm so sorry, Jen. :grouphug:

Mine too! I even had to chase down our mail lady. I had 2 packages ready when she got here but still had one left. She took the 2 and then Emma and I had drive over to the next street to deliver the 3rd. Much easier than driving 15 minutes to the post office and waiting in line forever!

My ornaments are in the mail!

Jen, you and your family continue to be in my thoughts and prayers as you go through this.'s

Sounds like a great party!

I love how the kids can believe that stuff :goodvibes My girlfriend got married on Emma's 3rd birthday. Emma thought the reception was her party. When she walked into the hall and saw the wedding cake. Her response "Thank you Thank you Mommy for my cake!" :rotfl: It was so cute.

I am back from judging the Ninth Annual Jazz Festival and am going to go to Border's to see if there are any books that interest me. I feel like reading! See you all later... have great afternoons!

It took me a minute to get this. I'm a little slow this morning. I was wondering why Tom was in the freezer. :lmao:

That's my thought, too. I hope that my dd never does things like that. She does have her first boyfriend at the moment. I am very worried about that boy's cell phone bill, because of all the texting. I have told her, but I don't think it really sunk in. She has 1,000 texts a month, and she knows she had better not exceed them.

Robyn, I'm sure that your parties will all be happy. Remember to enjoy yourself!
I had a day off work yesterday, and my kids had school. I had forgotten how much I miss that. Dh took the day off work, and we went out looking for a new table and chairs set. We didn't find what I really want. The closest one was over $3500, so I may have to rethink this. We also looked at new tvs. He really has done his homework but can't make a decision.

I have to run! Have a great day, DDA!

Thanks Beth!

I hope you can find a dining set you love. Furniture prices scare me. Right now our house is almost completely furnished from Ikea. It fits in our budget and can be easily replaced if it gets beaten up too much. Until I stop watching kids I refuse to spend a ton of money on furniture. I dream of the day I'll have nice furniture.

Elizabeth, glad the coffee made you feel more normal! Hope you continue to feel ok. Emma got the Flumist vaccine at school and had no side effects.

Me too!
