If anyone is interested in seeing the castle lights, here's a video of the little show before the initial lighting. I'm guessing the show will be every night, but don't know.

ETA: Haven't watched this one, but someone posted it saying it was clearer.

I remember seeing the lights strung on the castle and wondering how it would look. I wish I could afford to go this year for Christmas :sad1:

Hi Jen - I hope that you are feeling better this morning!

Glynis - Same for you. I hope that Sunday was the worst of it and now you're just catching up at home.

:wizard:

Just popping in to say hi. I really appreciate all your support during this rought time. You are wonderful women (and one great guy!)

I have decided that I need a maid :rotfl:

I really need to mop my floors today, (ehhh) I keep putting it off. It is cool, grey and dismal outside and they are calling for rain. Not even winter yet, but I sure do have the winter blahs lately. :(

Owie!

So I had a doctor appointment today (blood work). I really need to tell them I don't want his one nurse to take the blood, she stuck me 3 times before finally drawing any. :headache:

The boys want an Xbox 360 for Christmas. Seems there are a few different ones & I am totally confused. Anyone have one that can help me out here?

I just sat here and went over all my christmas lists and i have all presents done- im pretty excited. I just have to get Madison (my niece) her birthday present (december)--i think im going to get her a bab ydoll--i loved dolls when i was little

Ouch

Her dog is about half way down. the name is Mika but she changed it.
It is black with white markings. I just love the one white paw. :goodvibes

The rescue site is very nice. Good write-ups about each dog.

What a cutie. I'm glad that she found a new friend. I really miss having dogs, but I know that our current lifestyle wouldn't be fair for a dog. Maybe someday.

Terry - What a cute pup! I thought her face would be more "Pug-ish", but she looks a lot like a chihuahua.:)

The menu for Yak & Yeti looks good! Definitely on our list for August! Unless it gets crummy reviews, then it won't be on my list at all!:rotfl2:

I am trying not to watch any videos of the holiday stuff because I don't want to spoil the surprise. I did see some pics of the castle lights, but I am sure it will be much different in person.

So where is Bernadette? I need to know all about her trip!

Lightning McQueen does not like the microwave...
I'm sorry Stephanie, i just had to laugh when i saw that. I'm glad that it was only the car and the microwave that had to get replaced and not the kitchen or the house ..

I do have a question about Thanksgiving, do any of you have a recipe for an unusual side dish that you love? Something that you wouldn't necessarily see on the menu?
Debbie, i know you're off enjoying the mouse, i have a pineapple bread pudding that i make .. it's always a big hit.. when you get back remind me and i'll post it .. I always make it in pretty much a half sheet cake pan and there's maybe enough left over for one person to have it on friday lol

Hi everyone
I just got home--after work i wient to dinner with some coworkers...and when i came home, mom and dad wanted t o take me out for drinks--we got some bad bad news today about grandpa..>the tumors have doubled iin size and the cancer is everywhere so it has been ar ough day
Jen, I'm so sorry to hear this. you're family is in my prayers. I hope that you can all find some peace and be able to support your grandfather in whatever decision he makes from her on. :grouphug:

You're post got me thinking...

What do you all think of these dresses for the girls to wear to Bibbidi Bobbity Boutique.
Robyn, they're adorable and perfect. they're just different enough that your girls would stand out from the hum drum, everyone looks alike deal with the princess dresses.

I've read along but just didn't have much time to post...

Debbie- I think you did the right thing.

Marci- for great conferences.

Deb- What a great report card!

Janet- Loved your Vegas trip report.

Anne Marie- Congrats on the airfare and extra day.
i'm ditto'ing

Afternoon all.
Hope all are well.
As always busy busy.
Been working on the house and yard.
Work is a little slower.
Finally hired a 3rd person for maintenance.
He's a good addition to the crew.

Finally got all the plans nailed down for vacation.
Check in Saturday 12/22 @ Campground.
Check out Friday 12/28.
Only 6 nights, but we do have Annual premium passes.
So there will be many other trips.
Couldn't get any dates later all booked solid.
We went ahead & got the Magic your way with dining.
The dining plan is so less stressful.

Ramiro has kept up the good work at school.
All A's except 1.
He got a D in life Science.
Missed doing an important grade bearing asignment.
So the school has promoted him to the 8th grade.
He's looking forward to going to High School next year.
Wow how did my little guy get so big??

Well I'm off to Lowes.
Need some fall flowers for my little potted flower garden.
Hi Jo!, I'm glad that things are finally slowing down a bit at work. YAY for getting your vacation booked! and Congrats to Ramiro!!! He's gotta feel great about not only proving he can do it to you but also himself. WAY TO GO !!

Hi, everyone. Thanks for all the prayers for Rees. I skimmed the last few pages. One day, when this all settles down, I promise to keep up and post more often. Miss you all!

Rees was admitted last night to CHOA Egleston. We got to the room around 1am or so. His esophagus is extremely swollen and not allowing food to pass and liquids only at a small trickle. He's on IV fluids, and they are trying clear liquids only today. He vomited up everything he has eaten since Thursday am, so they are concerned about dehydration, weight loss, etc. He was also having abdominal pain. He slept well (all 5 hours), and has had a popsicle and some apple juice this am. He did gag a little on it, but kept it down. We should know more as the day progresses. Thanks for all the prayers.
Denise, I really hope that as I catch up with the pages that Rees is doing much better by now and the dr's have figured out what's causeing these problems. You're family is in my thoughts and prayers.

Just stopping into say hi. I had two 15 hours days with work this week. I was kind of lazy today. I did go shopping and found two business type suits for $10 a piece. The tag on the one for the MSRP said $428 so that was an awesome deal.

Next Sunday I am going to New York City to see the Rockettes and to do a Behind the Scenes tour.

If you could keep my District Manager from Goldtoe in your thoughts that would be great she has been having severe abdominal pain. Also my cousin who is in Venezuela has Dengue fever, she got it from an infected mosquito.

Sending congratulations, prayers to all of you.
Great find on the suits!! I hope you have a great time in NY, enjoy the show! Prayers for your DM and cousin.

I am still working on John, to get him to move south. Even if its not Florida.
And Miss Heidi, how do you explain that to your mother and sister who've just moved in across the street ? :P

Speaking of hot drinks...

I saw this special on the history of tea on the History Channel so I thought I would start trying to drink more tea. I bought a variety box of herbal tea. The berry one isn't bad, but it is kind of weird to drink it hot. The mint one isn't "minty" enough for me. The chamomile smells funky so I have to hold me breath to drink it. The lemon one is like spraying a bunch of lemon Pledge in a cup and drinking it. Now I am thinking there is a VERY good reason that I drink coffee!

The problem is the tea was cheap. Cheap coffee gags me, too.
Yup, that's the problem .. you're best bet is to find a tea house, where the tea leaves are sold loosely( not in tea bags) bigelow and all of them are so proccessed that it takes alot of the flavors away from it. Good luck.

I figured it was time for me to start posting to this thread since i have been posting my designs lol. Hi everyone I am Crystal.
Hi Crystal, and welcome aboard! I'm Heather, Mommy to DS5 and DD2 and one on the way.. Oh yeah and an all out Disney nut, who doesn't get to see the Big Cheese as much as she'd like to.

hi guys--what a day!

i went to a kid's soccer game,,then my dad wanted to go to his old high school's football game...then i had to come home and get ready....

We had the firemen dinner/dance tonight--i had a blast!! i was all dressed up in a floor length dress--i didnt have to drive so i drank and drank and danced and ate :) i had a ball!
Jen, I'm so glad that you were able to get out and have a great night. I'm sure it was just what the dr. ordered for YOU!

Hi guys! Busily working on Christmas stuff for Evil-bay. Leighanna wanted to "model" tonight, so I finally got some pics uploaded.
I also made a matching t-shirt and jeans set to go with this outfit.
Tom, They're absolutely gorgeous!! And your Model, simply Stunning! I'm sure that set will go fast and for a great big shiny penny! I see alot of WDW trips in the future from these great outfits !

This is the first weekend in years that we have the house to ourselves, just my DD and me. We've done a little cleaning, a little and a ton of looking at the DVRs. We are caught up with Desperate Housewives, Sisters and Brothers, Greys Anatomy, Oprah.

The outside is winterized, trees and bushes cut back, grass mowed tight, edges grooved. The gate is fixed, the overgrown in the way back all cleared. I replaced the toliet seat in the main level bathroom.

We shopped until we dropped last night. Got a microwave with a child lock. Disney scrapbook from Costco. Really cool tool bag to help us hang our Christmas lights outside. We might even try to get started tomorrow. I think the giant NOEL should make its appearance.

I used a london broil for Gynis' pot roast. YUM!!! Gotta make another for when the rug rats return. YUMMY!!!!Melt in youe mouth. Yum.

Well, I keep falling asleep in my chair. Time to get ready for the weekend....
WOOHOO for getting so much done!! I've yet to decide just how much , out door decorating i'll be doing this year. If I can talk Butch into helping me, it might be a bit more, but I don't see myself getting on a 8' ladder to hang lights and decorate the tree in the front yard.

Does anyone know if there is anything at Disney that you need to be taller than 48" to ride? I've checked Mission:Space, Space Mountain, Expedition Everest, Test Track, and Rock n' Roller Coaster. All of them are 48" or less. My niece is 48" so we are safe with all of those. I just want to be prepared if there is anything she can't do. Thanks.

Vickie, this is what i found when i was tying to figure out what rides the kids might be able to go on next year. I hope it's helpful http://adisneyworld.disney.go.com/m...nontheme/experience/preschool/heightChart.pdf

ok i'm still catching up but wanted to get this part done , as i realized how long it must have been getting by now lol

Heather you can still do a ladder. I was on staging siding the outside of my brother's house when I was 33 weeks pregnant with Hunter. No problem, just be careful ;)

I have bags of trash in my living room. I have been purging everything. Stuff really gathers in entertainment centers over the years :rolleyes1 I will have everything reduced to a minimal amount then I'll get the 2 new cabinets and I'll have plenty of room to buy more :rotfl:

Lindsay sent me the most amazing Christmas Ornament. :cool1: My favorite color is blue and my family loves everything fab five. She managed to find an ornament with the fab five in front of Cinderella's Castle with blue accents and ribbon. It is absolutely perfect:cool1: Thank you so much Lindsay. I promise post a picture soon. I just need to clean this living room and locate my camera. This new TV has caused havoc.

You are more than welcome, Deb! I'm so glad you like it! :goodvibes

Hi, everyone! I'm just popping in to let you all know I'm about 30 pages back. Sorry I dropped off the face of the earth. We had company all weekend, and then I got really ill on Sunday. Still trying to come back from it! I'll hopefully catch up quickly. If there's anything important I need to know, please PM me!

Feel better, Glynis! :wizard:

Lindsay - the CD came today and we are listening to it now. Thank you so much!!!!

I'm glad it finally came! You're most welcome. :goodvibes

i am so proud. my attendant brought her son over because she is having babysitter problems. shocker got really close to Matthew and she has never done that. she is scared to death of kids. Matthew is 13 months and shocker was licking him like crazy and started playing with him. it was so cute and i was so proud i almost started crying. she had never done that before. she usually ran away.

Yay for Shocker!

Tammi I was able to get the Disney lights. I bought 2 sets of Mickey & Minnie for you. I was going to get 2 of these as well for myself, but I could not resist the lights with Pooh & Tigger, so I bought one of each for us. They also had the small stockings on sale BIGI. I got myself Tink, Garrett Pooh, & Riley & Gary Mickey. These are the perfect size to put a gift card in for the boys.

I also stopped at $Tree & got the rest of the stuff for the wreath(Thanks again for the Idea Anne Marie!)& some small ornaments for the tree. I am still on the look out for miniature Disney ornaments, but at least I have something. With the clings that Tia bought I think I am all set for decorating our room :thumbsup2

That does sound very festive! I fought the urge to buy the wreaths to duplicate Anne Marie's idea, as I'm already going to be sending a big enough box down. I bought those small Disney light-up fiber optic trees last year for everyone's room, and I'm going to have to ship those, along with some other goodies and things.

Heather good to see you.

Vicki congrats on DVC

Jen I hope you are feeling better.

Denice continued prayers for Reese

Whew! I'm finally all caught up! I'm feeling much better, except for a hacking cough that I can't get rid of. The doctor has me on cough medicine with codeine in it, so I get really sleepy, and end up napping quite a bit. I guess it's better than letting the cough settle into my lungs for a round of bronchitis!

Hi, Crystal! Welcome to our family. I'm Glynis. SAHM to 4 kids, Katie, Jacob and twins Leslie and Mary. I don't design shirts, but stand in awe of those who do. I've been to WDW once (can't wait to go back), but go to Disneyland quite regularly.

Vicki - Congrats on DVC ownership! That's really cool!!!

Denise - We're still praying for Rees! Hopefully there will be more good news soon!

Sounds like everyone is getting ready for their holiday trips. I'm so jealous! I can't wait to hear how they all go!

I'm off to try to re-take the house. Strange how it all falls apart when Mom gets sick, huh?
