We really didn't save any money on free dining. OK, we probably saved SOME, but it wasn't a savings equal to the entire OOP cost of the Dining Plan.

The food budget for next year is just boggling my mind. I KNOW we will come out ahead not doing a dining plan, but I keep coming back to it thinking I am missing something. One of my "sample" days came out to be $166, which is nowhere near the $210 per day the deluxe dining plan would cost. Depending on where we go for dinner each night the daily cost would go up a bit (signature) or down a bit (buffet). But when I multiply it out by 9 nights for all 3 of us and 7 nights for DS and me the number looks VERY big! Are we really going to spend $2300 on FOOD? In two weeks? That can't be right! BUT it is still cheaper than doing the deluxe plan for 9 nights and having to pay tips on top of all the TS meals then using DDE for the nights DH isn't there.

I am anxious to see what (if any) Bounce back will be offered in December. I would jump on that deal where deluxe dining is $32 per day, but 30% off the room would be good, too.

You aren't going to believe this! Chuck is still trying to convince me to go to Disney in December. I can get flights for $238 round trip (which is great for us). I told him if we are going to start going this often we need to consider DVC. He is thinking we'd stay at Pop so we could be prepared for when we go in June. I'm not sure I'm sold on that because the reason he wants to go is because last Christmas was his favorite trip ever. I'm not sure if it would begin to compare if we don't stay at POR.

Come on, Vicki. Go for it!!! You would have your questions answered for June.

Yak & Yeti reservations can be made starting December 3, 2007, for reservations January 4, 2008 and beyond. From November 14, 2007 - January 3, 2008, the restaurant will be open but not for reservations (walk ups only).

Has anybody had any success selling their old cell phones? There is a thread on the Budget Board for a place that buys them but it just feels weird to me. I did a search for "cell phone buy back" and there are several online places that buy them but they all give me that "scam" feeling. You have to mail the phones to them and then they send you a check in 30 days, subject to "condition" of the phone. The 3 phones we have would bring in $50 IF they paid us full price for them. The company on the Budget board pays shipping, one of the others I looked at does not. What do you guys think?

Hello Crystal I'm Deb. I am a designer too, but don't find much time these days. I am Married to Chris (aka Kitchensinkguy) we have 3 sons Nick 12, Hunter 10 and Colby 5 (well he will be next Saturday ). This thread is great for Insomniacs. There are people posting until the wee hours of the morning since we span across the US.

We have a bright sunny day here. I'm sure it is freezing out, but at least the sun is shining. We are headed out to clean the garage and basement since we didn't get to it yesterday.

LOL I sure do but 4 of them are my stepkids who live 3 of those 4 live with their moms. My little ones like to help me pick out what graphic I am going to use so its a family affair lol. Plus they are in bed pretty early and I can't usually sleep so i design then or when they are content watching the disney channel

I will be around on and off today. I think we are going to rake the leaves and I may take the kids to the park one last time before it gets to chilly. I really want to dig out the christmas decorations but DH is trying to convince me to wait until the night of black friday. Obviously he does not understand that I will be exhausted from standing in line at target at 4am to make sure the kids get everything they asked for.

Crystal - You are a busy girl! I just have one DS11, and I am full-time nanny to Princess who will turn 2 in January. The 2 of them are plenty for me!

DS's friend just arrived and we are going to see the Bee Movie at 11 AM. I managed to sort of clean DS's bathroom and I only have 2 loads of laundry left to do. Our Disney Store sweatshirts came out of the dryer with the embroidery kind of wavy/wrinkled, but I think that's par for the course. They don't look too bad.

DS said "It would be nice if you vacuumed." Who raised this rude child? Maybe if I didn't work last night until midnight I would have time for things like vacuuming! If his friend thinks my carpet is dirty he will have to get over it. I thought the laundry was more pressing than the vacuuming. Priorities, you know.
