I'm trying to catch up, but this is just cruel for all of us who have to drive 90 minutes to the closest Chick-fil-a. :moped: :moped: :moped: Torture, I tell you!! It is so real looking, I almost had to peel my lips off my monitor...

Somebody save me!!! :surfweb:

Where do you live?? Don't you live near Lancaster. There is one in Wyomissing isn't that closer than 90 minutes? Also there is one in York and Shrewsbury.

I'm finally caught up. I can't believe how many pages were posted in 24 hours. It reminds me of the good ole days on the monster thread. :thumbsup2 I just finished day 2 of my killer work schedule. Each night the restaurant has been a little busier and tomorrow night looks like it's going to be brutal. We served corned beef and cabbage with red potatoes tonight. I had some and it was delicious. I put my mickey shamrock design on a button and wore it tonight. Everyone liked it!!

Here is a MASSIVE dose of :wizard: :wizard: for all of you and/or your families that are still fighting viruses. Is is just me or has this been a worse year than normal?

I will check in tomorrow.

Come on Amy if Kevin agrees then Dave will have to say "yes" too!!! You know how badly I need alone time away from the three kids (Dave is included :lmao: )!!! I will keep you company, I can be happy just people watching in Disney!!! I am leaving this up to you, I know you can do it!!!Come on you know you want to!!! ;)

Kevin is VERY unhappy with you Julie. :teeth:

In all seriousness, I really appreciate everyone wanting me to be included on this trip, but bottom line, it's a financial issue...followed very closely by the fact that Kevin loves WDW too much to leave him (and Alyssa) behind. He's not a bad guy, even if he did use the word "forbid." :goodvibes

tonight Nick was on the phone with my sister and she said "who is this" and he answered Nicky ********* - at first I couldn't understand what he was saying but after a second I realized it was our last name - I was so excited I didn't even know he understood the concept of a last name let alone to realize what his was!!!!

I really have become the world's biggest idiot. I stopped at the "Nicky ********" and pondered for a few seconds what bad word Nick thinks your last name is. :rotfl:

I better head up to bed. I have lots of cookies to bake tomorrow!

Goodnight! Sweet dreams and lots of :wizard: that everyone has a great weekend!

Amy :)

Amy, I'm with you on this one. Chris doesn't want me to go either, primarily because he loves Disney as much as me and he would be soooo jealous. Secondly, my 3 boys would disown me as they love Disney as much as Chris and I, and thirdly because it would not be a responsible financial decision. We are trying to reduce our debt and since we just purchased DVC a Disney trip is not viable until next year. :guilty: . I'm ok with it as I am planning a 3 week trip for 2007 and a three week trip for 2008. With our DVC points we won't have to shell out anything for accomodations, We will only have transportation costs twice and having that much time will just be awesome. So I hope that those of you that can go, have a great time. I will live vicariosly through you and look forward to detailed trip reports. Amy and I will hold down the boards while you're gone ;)

Marti,
Well, unfortunately I can't make lunch on Wednesday either. How long can you keep a Chick Fil A sandwich, and how are they left over?

When we returned from Cincy Paul ate them all week. He would reheat the chicken and then place it back on the bun. I don't think they do all that well... but it is better than nothing. I'll ask him tomorrow if he wants any and I'll let you know.

To Kate and Tammi - Once the decision of where to be when was made, that information flew out of my brain. That's why I'm waiting for Kate's manual.

The tests are tomorrow, followed by my best friend's surprise party for her husband (which I am in charge of setting up). I probably won't be back until Sunday afternoon at the earliest - heck I may even sleep until Monday!!

Don't hate me, Marti, but I had lunch at Chick-Fil-A today. I've been listening to you all talk about it, so today after bowling, Katie and I went out for lunch. She had a regular chicken sandwich (which she loved because it had pickles on it), and waffle fries. I had the Chicken Caesar Club and the fruit cup. Since I can't eat the tortilla, I opened it up and had a mini salad. It was so yummy! I can't wait until I've hit my goal weight so I can go back for a breakfast item. They looked yummy, too! So, I'm right there with all the Chick a lick lovers! Thanks for talking me into it, everyone.

Another one lost to the dark side. Will it never end?

So, maybe matching in Cincinnati the week before finals was a bad thing. I have been looking at houses, etc online for so many hours, I can't see straight! :rotfl: It's all very exciting though! Too bad we won't really move forward with it for a month or so, but oh my goodness -- it's really happening!

I hope everyone has a great weekend! Sick ones, please get better. Amy, enjoy your cookie baking and please post pictures. Just of like one or two cookies though, so you don't scare everyone else away from trying to make them! Talk to you all tomorrow or Sunday! :goodvibes

Nick came home from school today and was so excited because Leprechauns came into his classroom last night and flipped all the desks and chairs upside down and left little green footprints everywhere. Hunter told me after I got home from work tonight that Leprechauns came into his classroom while he was at recess and left a note. He doesn't remember what is said, but he was excited about the note. It sounds like leprechauns were very busy last night and today. :teeth:

Deb
That is too cute!!!! I'll have to remember that one....

:banana: Congrats on DVC!!! My DH would never go for it...
But it looks like he has agreed again to the 10 year anniversary trip in '07- he was talking last night about wanting to try Pop or All Star Sports since he thinks Kyle would get a kick out of the theming. I told him I would agree to try a value, but then I want to go for 10 days not 8!

So does that mean you'll purchase an AP for both Dec 06 and Aug 07? Surely you'll have to plan some other trip (Oct 07 for Food & Wine Fest perhaps) to get good use out of those AP's. I'll be sure to share photos of Pop when I get back.

Good Morning everyone! It looks like I have tons to catch up on...I think I need to start on page 745!
Steffy-thanks for the comments on the dress. :thumbsup2 I have an appointment at David's Bridal today at 4pm. I'm hoping they offer layaway.
Kristine-I plan on working on the PM sometime today, so I'll definately get back to you soon.
To everyone above and everyone else-Thanks for the prayers for Grandpa Al. Yesterday I left work early after receiving the phone call "You better come now if you want too" and drove up to Ashtabula to go see him. The hospice room is wonderful there. They really make it like an apartment. There was a sleeper sofa, and maybe three or four chairs that turned into single beds for overnighters. A table that sat 6 for dinner time, and plenty of outomans (sp?) for extra seating. I arrived about 2:30 pm and couldn't go into his bedroom until about 6pm. Too hard. Even then, I just stood in the doorway. Had a long drive home, I left about 8pm. At 10pm, my mom called. I'm glad I went. Thanks for the :grouphug: everyone! Please pray for my grandma now. Lots of hard decisions will have to be made about her care. She had a stroke 4 years ago and Grandpa Al was her caretaker.
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend! Here in NE Ohio the weather is wonderful for a change! No snow or rain, just a nice cold sun shining outside. :thumbsup2

Ok guys. I need help from those of you that are the deal finders. I want to fly from Green Bay to Orlando the 1st week of December avoiding Friday & Saturday nights. We want to go for 4 days. How do I go about doing this? I am working on American Airlines points. We have always booked our entire trip straight through the Disney site because I just didn't have time to do anything else. Now that I am trying to take multiple trips in a year because , I want to be as cost-effective as possible.

Chuck has agreed to the DVC. I just have to put the budget together to show we can afford it. I'm hoping we'll be members by the end of the summer. I'm also looking at AP's. Would we qualify for a discount as DVC members? What other benefits would we receive as DVC members that I can? I've tried looking at the budget board but they don't really have info on helping with planning trips anymore. It is mostly about discounts different places.

Thanks for any help you can provide. PM me if you prefer.
Northwest = 239
United = 239
American = 239

These were all leaving Monday and returning Friday.

when I worked in a HS we used to call each other by the names that we knew if we were teachers the kids would nickname us -

one of the women's last name was stacy - we called her spacey -
one was richland - so she was witchland - well actually the other word that would be filtered
we changed the beginning of mine to smell

Amy- I am sure the kids had a blast with your last name (actually - both of them!!!!)
