I just got off the phone with Lizzy's teacher. She said "I was going call you". Seems like Lizzy has been kissing her best friend Yvette too. That explains why when I told Lizzy she shouldn't be kissing anyone at school she responded with "I forgot the no kissing rule". I was wondering where she had heard the no kissing rule since we didn't know we had to give one. So...the teacher and guidance councelor will both talk to Lizzy & Charlie and the guidance councelor will call me so that I can "use the same language" with Lizzy as she's getting at school concerning these "private" matters. I've got to say I feel a lot better having talked to the teacher.

And the teacher is very supportive of our late May trip which helps a lot too. She said Lizzy has been much more talkative with her since the teacher returned from her Disney trip. Lizzy can be very quite. The teacher said she felt like a whimp because she wouldn't ride TOT and she knew it was one of Lizzy's favorites.

I thought the same thing - the bottom of the shoe says W6 M4

So they must be unisex shoes. Then again, I have enough experience with flip flops to know that the top stretches out a litte, but I tried on W8 M6 and then tried W7 M5 before I settled on W6 M4. They seemed SOOO big to me.

Can you all tell it's been a veeeeery slllllllowwwww day at work?

The only problem I have been having is one of the long time busy body(I mean that in a loving way) member of the church is in the hospital and seems to be losing her valiant fight with cancer. Well the family has told us not to put her up on our prayer board...so instead as people learn about it I have to talk to them and ask them to not spread it. Well that hasn't worked because the calls are increasing!! What to do, what to do?

I tried on the white/turqouise, but they didn't look really white. They looked grey - and I don't want them to look like that when I first try them on!!

I went on the site....I think the toe thingy would drive me batty but I checked out the Nile...love the description...for the woman with nice toe cleavage......not exactly where I think I have cleavage

Sorry...kind of a rhetorical question...I am stuck between a rock and a hard place.....famiily doesn't want the whole congregation knowing that she is nearing the end of her life...but everyone is quickly finding out no matter what I do. I am praying for peace for the family in knowing God's will....whether it's Jan's time to go or not.

You don't have her on the prayer chain. That is all you can do except when people call, tell them it is at the request of the family.

It may not be the family but the woman herself. My mother is very private. She had a surgery in January and I was given orders not to tell anyone. She didn't tell anyone at work until after they all left on her last day before the surgery (she sent them an e-mail). She hadn't planned on doing that until we discussed it and I shared my views. She is always there for others helping them out (even those she doesn't really care for). She doesn't want anyone "feeling sorry" for her. It was very difficult for her to realize that others might want to do the same for her that she does for others and they might feel slighted by her keeping it to herself. I shouldn't talk - this daughter didn't fall far from the tree.

They might also be concerned about others coming to visit and may want her to themselves. It is hard to judge how others will react to something as devestating as losing a loved one. Until it happens, you don't know how you'll handle it. They might not be thinking about the prayers of peace because your mind just doesn't work normal during times like this.

When I was in college, I worked in an embroidery store. It was my favorite job EVER!! I designed shirts and embroidered them. I have always wanted to open my own embroidery shop.

The machines that do that are so expensive though! I don't think I could talk my DH into that!!!

Yes, but it is a job you can do at home and make money doing it AND you love doing it. I have a friend that does embroidery and she is always busy with work.
