The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 3

Kate, Marti and I are going in May!! There are a few others still trying to negotiate that would like to come too. We decided that the DDA needed a road trip!

I'll be there too! I'm sure you don't want to hang out with a 7 year old but hope I can at least meet you guys. Maybe a dinner?

You just reminded me of the list I had when we went in October and how they all harrassed me b/c it was alphabetical - it was pretty comprehensive and they all made fun of me - but I know a lot of people used it!!!

Since Amy is my official stalker - I bet she has my list in her manilla folder of me!!!!!

I have lists for everything - family camping, Girl Scout camp, Disney trip, etc. Some are alphabetical and some are by category & then alphabetical. I have them all on the computer so that I can update them after trips. I have two for our Disney trips - one for personal items each person needs to remember and one is for family items (such as binoculars for the Tree of Life). I get teased as well but it sure makes the packing less stressful (unless you wait until the last minute to actually pack the stuff on the list in the bags). Of course, if I didn't have the lists, I would have been more stressed before leaving for Disney!!!!!

I have a designing request question:

A couple of weeks ago I bought my girls matching dresses/swimsuit coverups and I would love to put a little design in the corner....kind of like IZOD....the only problem is they are gray and I am not sure what design/color to use with it. SOOOOO......HELP!!! pretty please with a cherry on top!!

Helloooo DDA!

We are back from another magical trip at the World, and I am unfortunately already suffering those post-Disney blues. I cried like a baby at the end of Wishes on our last night , and then wanted to commit bodily harm to all those checking into the Poly yesterday with their welcome leis around their necks!

And someone actually thinks I'm going to be able to wait until late 2007 to return?!?!?!

I guess the one good thing about being home is that I have something like a 100 pages of DDA chit chat to catch up on! However, as it might take me FOREVER with all the laundry, piled up crises at work, etc. - if anyone wants to give me a CliffNotes version, that would be great!

Welcome back, Lindsay! If there's desire to do bodily harm involved, you must have had a good time. I've been wondering how I'll make it to October so I don't think I could handle waiting until late 2007. Maybe you'll have to put together a creative presentation on how you have some DVC points to spare and you just have to use them. I'd love to hear all about it when you get the chance!

We booked it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! It feels so official now! We are going 11/26 (early in the AM) and leaving 12/3 (really late!!) And I had a great CM on the phone who acted excited as I am!!

If you like them that much, I definitely vote that you wait for 16 months to post them. After your trip, we definitely want to see them though!!!!

Glynis & Clare-it gets easier. I was out of school for over 10 years before I went to grad school. Those first couple of semesters were tough but you do get back into the swing. I thought I would have so much time when I got through but then I got pregnant. It was nice to be done and not have the constant school worry on my mind though.

Thanks for the encouragement. For the most part, I love my classes (with the exception of mean professors). I really think I need to back off to one class a semester. My house is just falling apart and I'm feeling like a bad mother to my children. I just need more hours in the day!

I am feeling the same blues. As we were leaving yesterday, I was resenting all those checking in. I am already watching the Disney parks DVD's that I bought while I was there. We also bought a La Nouba DVD so we can watch that. I am also very thankful for the DDA because it might help me make it to our next planned trip (at least at this point) for next year at the same time.

Just wanted to share that Kyle did match. We still have to wait until Thursday to find out where, but we don't have to scramble! Keep those students in your prayers, though, that did not match. The next few days are going to be quite tough for them, one of Kyle's friends included.

Kevin's Mickey Head design yesterday triggered these designs. I wanted something for each of us with our favorite characters, but I wanted a common connection so that we would still match. So what do you all think?

Okay now it's my turn to ask if I am overreacting:

On my return this weekend from my retreat I found out Cassidy had been running a fever all weekend. I told her at 5 last night I was calling her in sick today. She absolutely FREAKED!! "mom I have to go to school I have a test tommorow in Social Studies and if I miss it I have to make it up Wednesday at 7 (in the morning) and it will be all essays." Normally I wouldn't think anything about it other than it being odd...but this is the week of CSAPs(state mandated testing) so she not only would have to do that test but then go into school and do 4-5 hours of mandatory testing. Against my better judgement I let her go in today to do the test(which of course was near the end of the day) she now will be out tommorow and maybe later from school from the state mandated tests. Am I nuts?

I just realized that you had done the initial monogram idea in your signature. I must have subconsciounsly (spelling?) loved it because I did monograms for the kids today. I think you saw them on my design thread.

I did see them, they look great! ETA: I really like your new Mickey head ones, too.

No partying yet, for us anyway! There is actually a get together downtown tonight. Free pizza and lots of drinking........ we're not really interested, especially since I have a lot of studying to do. It would probably be fun to celebrate with his class, but we're definitely going to do the dinners on Wed and Thurs, so we felt like we should be a little choosier, so that I don't fail my exams next week.... some spring break, huh?
