I love Bunko!! I can't find a group of friends to play it with on a regular basis though!!

My Grandma would be the one freaking out...I went to the ballet and then a Christmas party for Bunko and she flipped out on me because I wasn't home parenting (for a whopping 7 hours!). What really bugged her is I wasn't home to cook. Should be interesting her reaction to my going on a retreat this weekend.
I haven't played Bunco in years. I loved it though. :thumbsup2

Good Morning Everyone!

I hope everyone and their families are starting to feel better. The sun has been shining here and it is starting to warm up. This weekend it is going to be 70!! Spring is almost here! :sunny:

I love the idea of doing a girls weekend in WDW and I know we will never find a weekend that will be good for everyone, which is sad, because I know someone will feel left out. I priced airfare for Kate's suggestion in May, and it is 177 on SW. If I can get a Ding it would be even better!

Glynis, my DH said Utah was beautiful, especially down in the valley between all the ski resorts like Alta, Park City, etc. He had a great time.

Who all tuned into AI last night? My favorites are Kellie, Katherine and Mandisa.

Now, I have to get around to making two designs for the whole family. Any chance I'll be able to get Amy to actually iron them?

Great designs Kevin -- they are so colorful!

To all DDAs -- Have a great day! :sunny:

Great designs Kevin!!

I want to know who ordered the snow to come to Colorado? :confused3 It was about 70 degrees yesterday and today they are saying up to 6 inches of snow!!

We had a volleyball game and then 10 minutes to get across town for freshman orientation last night! Nothing like eating dinner at 9 o'clock. Tonight is Jazz Band concert....my child has packed our schedule!!
The volleyball game was fun to watch.......both teams had their hands in position to hit the ball but their eyes closed in what looked like prayer...please ball do not come near me, please, please!! All 3 of Cassidy's teams beat the other school with 2 practices under their belt and the other team has been practicing since the first part of January.

Welcome, Steph,

Are your designs up where we can see them? I'm not a designer, but I love seeing what all the creative types can come up with. Welcome to our madness, and stick around. it might be intimidating, at first, but we love to have new people join our family!

Hi everyone...

Haven't been around lately...I am hoping things have finally slowed down. Had 6 extra people this weekend...grandchild, his parents, 2 yr old, MIL..yikes...I still haven't finished laundry.

I'd be up for going on a trip. I am flexible with dates....dh is fine with it. Let me know the plan...

Kristine

Nice to see you, Kristine. Hopefully things will get back to normal for you! How is your family doing?

I'm so glad he had a great time! Hopefully that means he'll want to bring the rest of the family for a trip soon! He's right, too. It is so beautiful in the ski areas. You should see it in the summer when it's all green and full of wildflowers. We love to go up there in June. There's a huge hot air balloon festival and it is amazing to see. We usually get the kids out of bed around 4 a.m., put them in the car and drive up there to watch the sunrise, and then stick around to watch the balloons go up. I make muffins and hot chocolate, or cider and we have a grand time!

Well I know it's been awhile since I have been online, but I read quite often. I wanted to share what has happened in Mya's life this week.

Over the last few weeks, I had decided to get my life back in line spiritually and on Sunday evening said a prayer for my daughter to be healed, having faith in the Lord that if it was his will, then it would happen. (Been reading a bit of Luke). So with that being said I went to work on Monday. Well around noon I get a call from the wife. Mya has just gotten out of therapy and had decided to throw her crutches down and walk by herself approxamently 15 feet. This is a girl who had only taken TWO steps before by herself without falling.

She has continued on this pace and last night walked approxamently 20+ feet without falling 4 times!

She is not "cured" from cp, but mentally she has been strengthened to try and walk by herself and not "fear" falling down. Now when she falls, she's like "hold on I can do it." She will then craw to a wall raise herself up and proceed from there.

Thanks for letting me share my story.

She is also still working on potty training and still doesn't want to tell us when she needs to go, but is holding it most of the time until we take her. Just one or two accidents per day.

Mac - thanks for sharing this story with us! I am in tears as I type this! It's amazing what the faith of a great parent, and a wonderful child can accomplish! May I please add Mya to my prayers? It would be a privilege to add my faith to that of your family!

:grouphug: to you and to your wife and to Mya! This is wonderful!

That sounds like a lot of fun, especially the muffins and hot chocolate part!

What a touching story, Mac. Little Mya sure has a lot of courage. Sometimes children can teach us the strongest lessons in life. I am so happy for all of you. I will pray right along with you that Mya continues to have the stamina to fight this battle and win. It's amazing what the power of prayer can do!

Keep us posted!
