Now there is a GREAT story!!!! Is this young man as nice as he appears in all the local news clips???

I don't really know him or the family, but I still tear up everytime I see the video of that game. My son knows him, and said he is a nice kid, but doesn't know him really well.

I know this story made national news, but I'm sure it must be bigger here locally.

I just edited my post above to include a link about this young man. I cry everytime I see the video - and his parents must be so proud.

Now for an update about Grandpa:
He had emergency dialisis today because of the kidney failure. Goes into surgery tomorrow at 6:30am to remove some blockage in the ureters (sp? It's the tubes between the kidney and the bladder..) Both are blocked due to the cancer he has. Depending on how well he handles being under, they want to remove at least one blockage, if not all three, and then try to remove some of the cancer to decrease the pressure. :worried: Now we just wait.

 major barf patrol going on here. Christopher has it BAD! Being a typical man in training he is a horrible patient! (just kidding guys) So far nothing makes him happy at all.

Can't catch a break, can you Kristine?

By the way - how did the open house go?? Lots of traffic?

Well, I've never been on the TOT in the World, but this past trip to DL I spent much time on it! Love it! It's my new favorite ride. I even got my 6 yr. old DS to go with me. He loved it, too! Went on it 5 times in a row. There was no line whatsoever! It was fabulous!

Hi Kristine! So sorry that Christopher is sick. Hopefully it will pass soon. How are things going with the accident issues? Better, I hope.

what a sweetie  Good luck on your tests!

I have the worlds greatest husband! I went downstairs to get some dinner for Matt and Paul already had everything taken care of! He's the greatest. They went to a hockey game tonight - reward for a good report card from Matt.

I however, will be studying for my civil service exam on Saturday. I'm actually applying to three jobs and taking three tests - all Saturday. Two of the tests last 5 hours each and one is 7 hours -- how the heck can I do all that?? Not really sure, but I'll let you know how it goes. I feel like Glynis and Tink2020; I have to go and study now! (there's a phrase that I haven't used in nearly 20 years!)

I'm so sorry. You definitely need some pixiedust: pixiedust:. Things just haven't been going your way. Here's hoping things get better, and that Christopher feels better soon.

That sounds fair. At least the stress of it is over. Now it is just a pain getting it into the body shop.
