Oatmeal, Oatmeal chocolate chip, peanut butter with chocolate kisses, chocolate crinkle cookies, snickerdoodles....

how about congo bars? fudge?

I used to make lots of Christmas cookies. Maybe I'll try again this year if I really get my shopping all done.:thumbsup2

he doesn't like oatmeal. Peanut butter with chocolate kisses is a good idea. What are congo bars?

Not sure if he likes fudge.

I have a glass cabinet full of shot glasses, I love to collect them! Anyway, they are not Fancy but I could send you one from Illinois if you like.

ve been thinkinig about my brother'schristmas present--he collects shot glasses, so im thinkingabout getting some from different places and just wrapping them all up for him..does anyone happen to live anywhere that they have seen some interestiing shot glasses for your area? if so, let me know please! maybe i can send you some money and have you ship it to me?

I did google it, but it sounds to technical & confusing to me. I think I am going to call around tomorrow & see if someone can look at it for me.

if i question something i ask my dad. he kinda knows computers. he will google the name and sometimes a website will tell you how to get rid of it.

Goodnight all! I've got to get to bed-gotta get up early to get to work!

My boss is at CR at a convention-he must be there now-he won't be in the office til Thursday. He says he doesn't want to go into the parks alone.:confused3 It has been a while since he's gone into the parks-he loves the coasters. He wants to take his twin boys next year (they'll be something like 14 and his DD will be a freshman in college) so he says he'll just wait til then. I know he'd love EE. It would kill me to be that close!

night Bernadette

Congo bars are chocolate chip cookies in a bar form.

If he likes brownies he'll like the chocolate crinkles-they are a rich chocolate cookie that you roll in confectionary sugar before you bake so they crack open-yummy! Snickerdoodles are a white cookie that you roll in cinnamon/sugar before cooking.

OK...really going to bed now. DIS is so slow!

you will have to post the recipe for the chocolate crinkles and snicker doodles.

Thanks for all the Birthday wishes today.
Had a great day even if I had to go in today.
Not bad only 2 hours for grounds.
Had some friends over for lunch & cake.
My DD called & sent me flowers.

I have a small problem with the flowers.
The roses are brown on the edges.
The white flowers are slightly brown & wilted.
Do I tell my DD or just call FTD?

Deb you got me beat big time with Mickey & Minnie lights.
Instructions pretty please.
I haven't done any projects lately.
Other than finally painting the ceiling in
living, hall, dining, kitchen, laundry
all open so it's really all the same ceiling.
Had some friends help.

Would someone please post plans for the
October WDW DDA get together.
I plan on trying to pop in need to see what I can fit in.

Here is the thread with directions. I basically followed the directions there, with a few personal modifications ;)

Olivia is a really cutie pie. :goodvibes
The lights are wonderful. Did someone say you made them?
Penny

Yep, I made them. It wasn't too hard. :thumbsup2

But amazinling(sp) we manage this all the time :confused3

mine will wash while he is home but they wont be put up till I walk thru the door normally. Jeff is off mon. and tues. I go in both days at 3pm so will leave here at 2pm. will see if he gets anything done on his to do list. He claims he cant get anything done when he is home alone with Olivia. I have the last load of clothes in the dryer now though. He is at work till 9pm tonight.

I have several recipes saved from the Christmas treat thread. I have one for Butterscotch Crunchies, Butterscotch bars, thin mints, several cookies from cake mixes, fudge peppermint bark.

I just thought of another one. He likes the girl scout cookies that have peanut butter covered in chocolate. I think its a ritz cracker put peanut butter on it and then pour melted chocolate over it. Does this sound right?

Sorry I haven't been on much this weekend. We had some family commitments and a lot of running around to do.

I got to go shopping with my Dad yesterday! I love doing that, as he tends to spoil me. He bought me a new suit for Sunday, which I absolutely love! We also bought my mom a pair of Croc Mammoths. They are so comfy! I'm heading back to Nordstroms to buy me a pair this week. Dad wanted to, but after dropping a ton of money on a new suit, I wasn't comfortable with Crocs as well.

We had a family birthday gathering today for Alan's stepdad, and it was really fun!!! I made a buffalo chicken dip that rocked!!! It was so quick and easy, too! I used 4 cans of chicken, shredded it into a bowl, and added 1 12 oz. bottle of hot wing sauce. I melted 2 bricks of cream cheese in a saucepan on the stove, and added a bottle of ranch salad dressing. Mix it together, and pour it over the chicken. Spread into a casserole dish and top with cheddar cheese. Put it in a 350 degree oven until hot and bubbly. I served it with tortilla chips and celery sticks. It was so yummy!!!

Tomorrow is a busy day! I'm babysitting 2 nephews in the morning, and then have to spend the afternoon getting Katie packed for her 2 day field trip. It is officially Fall here, and she's going to need warm jammies and sweats for this trip! We even had snow here yesterday. Luckily, it didn't last, but it sure gave us a taste of what's to come!

Yes! Just spread peanut butter between 2 ritz crackers and dip in melted chocolate. You can pour the chocolate, but I think you get better coverage if you dip them with a fork.

snow in sept. oh wow.
Glad you had a good time with your family.

Well, I'm off to do a load of towels, and then to bed! It's been a long day, and I've been a bit under the weather. I've had a headache for the last 4 days, and it's worn me out!

:wizard: that your headache goes away soon. I have had a slight allergy one but luckily the flonase is helping with it.

So it looks like most people like the first design. I showed them to Jeff and Olivia and Olivia liked the first one. Jeff liked the first one and the Olivia 07 one. I think I will make the first design. Sometime this week.

Wow! All of that just to repaint.

So last weekend the lady below us moved out. But some of her things were still there - her welcome mat, some plants, etc. I thought that was kind of funny. Then I noticed it looked like she left some books on a desk in front of her window. DH said the maintenance guys were in there all week painting and carpeting and whatever, and I said maybe she is just having work done. DH said there is NO WAY she would pack up and move out just to turn around and move back in. Well, I win! Those guys are out there right this minute moving all of her stuff back in. Up the stairs, around the corner, across the front balcony, down the stairs to her apartment.
