I was able to change our CP package to our second night, since I hated for us to miss that. We are still eating at the Coral Reef (haven't tried this one yet) and we are seeing the 6:45 show. Our narrator is going to be Steven Curtis Chapman instead of Chita Rivera. I think that is a plus.

I just made breakfast reservations for the new Character breakfast at Tusker House :thumbsup2 Hope to hear some reviews once they start! I also made breakfast reservations at Trails end. We are hoping to go horseback riding, but I have to wait till 30 days out to book this. If we can't get it, I will cancel Trails End.

I am also on the look out for the Richard Petty Driving Experience tickets to go on sale. I know a couple of years ago they had them almost 50% off. Gary & his DB are wanting to do this. So if you hear anything, please let me know!

Here is a picture of the two that are almost done. I had unplugged one so ignore the cord wrapped around the post.

Great job! You are so creative!

:grouphug: for everyone. Seems like we all need one!

Tammi - I hope you and Bob can work this all out so your vacation is still wonderful for all of you.

Jen - We miss you and can help you get through this. Come on back and talk to us!

Kathrin got a good pathology report from her doctor today. And, Bob's Mom came home from the hospital. Thanks for all the good wishes. They worked!

Kristin has opening night for the first Main Stage production of the year and she (along with most of the cast) has a NASTY cold that settles in the head and chest. Send good healing thoughts their way, please! The show is made up of a lot of monologues!

Congrats on all the good news! I hope Kristin and the cast do well and feel better!

Tom -- that is really crappy! :wizard: that this is the last thing that goes wrong and you have a great trip.

Kelli -- the pictures of DD were beautiful! She was glowing as much as the bride -- I think she enjoyed the role of princess!

Jen -- sending PD to you. Let all of the wonderful people here help and support you.

Elizabeth -- I hope your long day goes quickly!

I have one as well, and have been really dreading it! When I pick the boys up from school, we are headed to the pediatrican's office for their flu shots, then we have to race home to change so that I can get Jake to soccer at 5:30, then I hope to have time to run out to put flowers at the cemetery (today would have been Mom's 66th birthday), get back in time for Andrew's soccer practice and wait until it's over (hopefully I'll fit in two laps around the 3/4 mile track), get homework and bath's done, call the Mother of the evil twin at school who is bullying Andrew and getting them both in trouble, and then answer all of the work e-mails sent after I left work, load software on Dad's laptop so he can take in on his trip, and get ready for the day tomorrow. On top of all of that, I'm having Lindsay's problem of increased traffic on the drive in to Dallas. I try to be at work with the office open and ready to go by 6:30, but it looks like I'll have to try to get up earlier and try to leave the house by 5:30 or so, as my 40 minute commute has slowly been increasing. I wonder how long it takes for the people who don't leave K until 7? :scared1: On that note, I best get back to work!

Have a good day everyone! :)

Yay, glad you were able to get it rearranged!

Marci sounds like a very hectic day for you! :wizard: that it all goes smoothly

So, while I've rearranged our Epcot day, I now have to rearrange a few other. We are going to MGM Wed, seeing Fantasmic at 6:30 and then checking out the Osborne Lights afterwards. Then the next morning I am considering hitting the EMH at MK, and Bob and his DD would leave later that afternoon to head back to VA. I need help making a dining decision for lunch for that afternoon. We already are eating at CP and CM, so those 2 are out. Tony's is good, but no WOW/fun factor. Any suggestions?

ETA: I made an ADR for WCC. Should be fun for the kiddos!

I'm kinda liking this revised schedule better than the original! ;)

Wow, what a day. Don't forget to fit in time to breath and maybe eat :wizard: :wizard:

Adian update:

September 27, 2007 at 09:05 AM CDT
Well it seems like forever since we have updated everyone and after looking at the last post it has been. As most of you know I took a new job about a month ago and since then have started traveling. This has cut into my sit down at the computer and type updates time. Instead I use my extra time to visit Aidan and hang out with Mya and Naomi. However that is no excuse for not sharing the good news of Aidan’s recovery with all of y’all. So let’s get to it. (I do like my new job though)

Problem is where to start. Over the last two weeks we had the central line removed and he went from IV to IV trying his hands, arms and feet. They only lasted a few days each and finally they chose to go orally with his antibiotics. Today is his last dose.

Earlier this week Naomi and I got in our last Trach Changes each. We still continue do them; however we are now qualified to do them alone. We don’t have the judging eyes of others looking over us unless we request it.

The last Trach collar trial did not go as well as planned, so for the last two weeks they slowly adjusted his vent in order to make him work harder then the machine. The result of these changes was shown over the last two days as his Trach Collar trials have gone much better. On Tuesday after 30 minutes his CO2 level was actually lower than when he started. The result of this allowed them to try an hour yesterday and once again the results were quite encouraging.

If he can continue on this track then we may only be using the vent at night and nap times which would be such a wonderful chance to be able to leave the home at times.

We also do our first 48 hour rooming in this weekend. This is our chance to find out what we have learned and what we still need to learn. We are both nervously excited, but it should be a great learning time.

Well I hope this answers some questions and I have posted some new pictures that have been taken over the last few weeks. Enjoy!

Just received notification that our flight is now CANCELLED! ARGH!!!!!

They are calling passengers up one by one, trying to get them on other flights.

I don't see us getting to Disney soon at all!

Instead of a nonstop flight, we will have to connect in Atlanta, who knows how long this is going to take?

I am fit to be tied right now!

Leighanna fell asleep in her stroller so she is unaware of our delay.

oh no Tom.:wizard: that you get their sooner rather then later.

It seems like some of you had a much more productive day than I have so far.

We are still in Dayton until about 11:30. We then go to Atlanta, change planes, and possibly get to Orlando by 3:30 p.m.

So much for spending the day in Animal kingdom.

We will be lucky to get to the Poly in time for our 6:00 ressies for O'Hana.

We all had the Hawaiin Mickey postcards shirts and Leighanna had the matching dress for tonight. I don't think that we will get our luggage to our room in tme to change. So we will have to wear what we have had on since about 3:30a.m.

Looks like one of our days parkhoppers will go to waste.

We did get a $7.00 voucher for a meal as compensation! (Where's that smiley that says Whoopie! when you need it?)

I really hope the rest of the trip is better that the beginning has been so far.

Also, because the airline had to squeeze us in, we will not be able to sit all together. They did get two seats together so that Leighanna doesn't have to sit by herself, but the rest of us are all scattered about.

Sorry for the long rant, but I am about to go crazy. The lack of sleep, is getting to me. I knew that once we hit Disney the tiredness would be replaced with excitement, and we would be good to go!

Waiting around an airport for 7 hours is not great on only a few hours sleep.

Talk to you all later, hopefully with better news.

I was just looking on the internet for stocking stuffer ideas for Jeff. I want to get all my shopping done before Virgina comes as I don't want to take her out much. RSV and flu season will be here once she comes.

SO if anyone has any good ideas and unique ideas I would appreciate them. I have some air fresheners for his truck that have his favorite college on them. I know I will put new tooth brush and some travel size hand lotion in his stocking.
Not sure what he is getting for Christmas except for a couple of button down shirts and new socks. Olivia's Christmas is done expect for her stocking. Virginia's stocking I am not sure what I will put in it. Not sure what I will be putting under the tree from us and Santa for her either. I think I will use some of the baby toys that I had for Olivia as presents for her. As she will not need them the first couple of months.

For Alan's stocking, I usually stuff it with stuff he'll use for his hobbies. He loves to hunt and fish, so the big stocking stuffer is his combo hunting/fishing license. I'll give him some lures, bait, hand warmers, a new orange hat, etc. I'll also give him some cologne, a jar of his favorite nuts (madadamias), and a few candy goodies. Hope this helps!

I just made breakfast reservations for the new Character breakfast at Tusker House :thumbsup2 Hope to hear some reviews once they start! I also made breakfast reservations at Trails end. My dad did the RPDE and loved it. My parents were going to pay for me to do it, but when we got there, they were already booked. I would have loved it!

Tom, I hope you get out of there soon!! :(

It does seem every time she is in a production there is a cold bug running around in that little body! :rotfl: Classes from 9:00-4:00 and rehearsals from 6:00-11:00 5 days a week and a weekend rehearsal schedule of 10:00-6:00 will wear you down, that's for sure.

The show is called volume of smoke written by Clay McLeod Chapman. Chapman, along with his admin. asst. are visiting artists at VCU this semester. The historical storyline of the play is that of the 1811 Richmond Theater fire which decimated theatre in the city for over a century. The characters, both those who survived and those who perished, relate the story of how the catastrophe changed lives forever.

It is done by a small ensemble cast, with many monologues, some delivered from the audience. Sounds fascinating and I cannot wait to see it! Period costuming and dialects from Tidewater Virginia have made it a great learning experience for the cast too. Also nice to have a "local boy made good" come back to work with students who are very close to his age. Many of Kathrin's friends and co-workers went to HS with Clay and are coming to cheer on both Kristin as well as her director. Should be a sell-out for the next 2 weeks!

I will pass along your well-wishes. Our traditional roses to be delivered today will include a card that says simply, "BREAK BOTH LEGS!" :rotfl:

Wow! That sounds really neat! I wish I could be there to see it!

Tom I know how much this sucks & it so reminds me of our trip to Europe. We were delayed a day getting to Europe, not fun at all! I know you can't do anything about the weather, but Delta really lacks in the customer service. So sorry you are having to deal with this

Jeff does not like to fish or hunt. I had thought of those ideas.;) Unfortunately he does not wear cologne much either. still has over half a bottle from last year. Candy is a good idea.
