Good morning DDA!

I feel like a zombie this morning! UGH! Too much work and not enough time at home! Princess has school today (unless her lip is to puffy) so things should be quiet.

Tom - Have an incredible, wonderful, magical trip!!:wizard: I am sure any of the clothes you sell on EvilBay will bring in very high bids! Princess's grandparents spend a mint on her clothes, and I bet there are more grandparents like that out there!

Chanon - Good luck finding some necklaces you like!

Heather - Glad to hear RJ's cast is off and he is up and running!:)

Becky - I am glad your wipe out wasn't too serious! That definitely could have put a damper on your trip!

Janet - Yay for the sleigh ride!!:santa:

Bernadette - A relocation to the Northeast would be cost prohibitive. Unless you want to hire me full time.:rolleyes1 Or you and Anne Marie could share, as long as my travel expenses are paid. I used to get e-mails with TONS of jobs in CT, NY, etc. but I just realized that was with my old e-mail address. Besides, it gets COLD where you guys live!
Funny you should say that Frito was a good company for college grads. That is precisely the point that guy who quit tried to make. They can not hire in guys who have been in the work force for 2 decades and expect them to put in 10 or 12 years before they make any money. Young guys don't want the job because the schedule is brutal. It's a recipe for high turnover. It was their decision to allow DH to have a "temporary" route for over a year and then take it away. Boneheads.

OK. Off to attempt to get DS moving. He isn't looking like he is making much progress. Have a great day, all!:)

Today should be interesting. I couldn't sleep last night so I was up way way too late. I decided to make Joe a photo book on Kodak Gallery (wonder how Ellen's doing) to use as an autograph book so I was playing around with that.

I got our sleigh ride booked for Christmas night :woohoo: I almost forgot & did not call till about 6:15 this morning. I told the cm I wanted to book the sleigh ride for Christmas & he said "oh I think that day is sold out" :sad1: "but oh we do have 1 for 9:30pm" :yay: I was hoping for around 8, but that's ok, I took it!:santa:
:woohoo: Sounds like the perfect ending to a very magical day!!!!:woohoo:

Thanks for all the well wishes for our upcoming trip!

We leave at 0'dark thirty in the morning, so we need to TRY to get some sleep tonight. I know that we will be too excited to sleep, but we need to try.

I might try to sell some of Leighanna's things on EviilBay when we get back, and see if they actually do very well. I might just have a second job in the works, if it pans out!;) More Disney dollars for us!

I have the cameras all packed, notice I said cameras. We got Leighanna a digital camera, because she just HAD to have one. DW is using our old camera, since she doesn't ride some of the big rides, she wants to still get some shots of us.
My brother bought his wife a new Sony H something camera on Amazon for her birthday. I think it is the same one that Bernadette has, (after my recommendation and showing him the photos that she took;) )

Have a great day DDA!
Can't wait to see your photos!

Sounds like you'll soon be living at WDW with all your extra money.:)

It not cold here-gonna be 90 today.

What I was trying to say about Frito is that it had such a good reputation as being such a great place. I don't think you can be a great place unless you treat everyone well. I'm so sorry for DH and you. I know what its like watching your hard working DH getting treating like crap and him not moving fast enough to change things. :scared:

:wizard: :wizard: :wizard: Hope DH sees the light soon and finds something perfect.   for you as you have to go through this ordeal with him.

Great news! We loved our sleigh ride last year, and it should be really fabulous on Christmas evening -- very festive!

Tom -- have a FABULOUS trip!

Glynis -- I hope Jacob and his friend are better!

Elizabeth -- I'm sorry your husband will lose his route. I can see how seniority is important and would play a role in routes, but job performance should count as well. It sounds like they don't really care about employee morale, either. I hope Princess doesn't look like she got in a playroom fight when you see her this morning.

Have a great day, DDA!

I'm interested to see how it turns out, Bernadette.

Hi All,

Went to the mall last night with the thought of getting a few more bras. I went to my one favorite store and I was surprised to see they had added Disney Crocs!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: I was actually able to get the black with the red strap. I was so excited.

SOOOOOOOOOOOO I thougt I would pop into our Disney Store and ask if they had pins. Last week they said they had had some years ago but stopped getting them. Imagine my surprise when they brought out 5 little containers with them. :thumbsup2
Picked up a few packs with multiple pins. Yes Elizabeth, I have gone to the dark side :lmao:

Tom, Have a wonderful time  :cool1:

Bernadette - Sorry about the insomnia! I hope the photo book is cool!
It is a good company in terms of all the programs they offer. Their policies on diversity are second to none. They offer domestic partner benefits, they offer adoption assistance, they have all sorts of wellness programs, they have more benefits than I can even wrap my brain around as far as insurance and discounts on vehicles and computers and all sorts of stuff. Which is all fine, but it doesn't remedy the situation of DH losing his route and being placed on a route that brings in less money. Less money is less money no matter what. From that standpoint he would be better off as a specialist, but the other trade-offs for that are pretty steep, like losing 26 days off every year and possibly only having 5 consecutive vacation days. Plus there's the part about bidding last for vacation. He might get his 5 days off the week DS has state testing and that would be worthless.

Marci - I have been trying to think what it would be like if DH was the one waiting to bid for this route. What if my DH had been stuck with a crummy route for 5 or 6 years, then this new guy comes in and gets a choice route through some loophole, and IF the route went up for bid my DH would win? I would be angry. BUT the way it stands now we are in a spot where we will LOSE money. The drivers waiting to bid for DH's route have nowhere to go but up. The only guys who will bid are guys who make less but have more seniority than DH so none of them will lose money. We will.:sad2: And the supervisor has no clue who will win the bid or what route will be left when the bidding stops. He genuinely can't offer DH any insight at all about where he will end up. Being psychic I can tell you DH will end up on a route with 4 small accounts in the 'hood. One of the drivers was robbed at gunpoint last week. The drivers don't carry any cash - the robber stole the driver's wallet and cell phone. If he bid on DH's route he would win. Guess where that might leave DH? At least if DH is a specialist he will only land on those scary routes once in awhile, not every single day!

Terry - Welcome to the Dark Side! You will love it here!;)

Tammi - Love the sleigh smilie!:)
You can sell that parking pass on EvilBay. You would be shocked at how much some of them sell for!

Dadboss said Princess was up about 5 times last night.:scared1: I don't know if her lip was bothering her or if she just wanted to see her parents. She doesn't look bad at all. Her lip might be a tiny bit puffy but it isn't discolored or anything. Hopefully she will have a good day at school. She didn't cry when I dropped her off. The teachers had a lot of puzzles on the table so she was really excited to go try them out. She loves puzzles.:goodvibes I shouldn't be here late tonight UNLESS Momboss has flight delays. She has to go out of town for the day but she's supposed to be back this evening.

Absolutely, positively fantastic. We had pretty decent weather, although it was thundering every night so the pool was closed and rained on and off at some of the islands, and in Florida. It rained and stormed a lot but typically did not last too long.

We got soaked at Key West and during our regatta at St. Maarteen, and trying to get into the Sanford airport on our way home. That is the one benefit to cruising, our days at sea were great weather because for the most part, you can avoid the crappy weather.

Jen-I thought of Alyssa, as I saw a full arch rainbow from end to end in St. Thomas. I think that was a first. As we could see both ends and the whole arch, but it wasn't very bright. I also saw an entire circle rainbow on my flight home.

My flight in was one of the smoothest flights I have ever been on. The return flight was bumpy at first, but very smooth and cloud free, after we left Florida which was rain all day. We could see so many buildings, theme parks, etc before we landed as it was so clear.

I was surprised how smoothly everything went. My Key West curse was broke, I finally made it there. We both had major allergy attacks in St. Thomas as it was very much in full bloom. Lots of others complained as well. I got sunscreen in my eye at Castaway Cay the last day and could hardly see the entire day.

I wiped out on the pool deck the one night, totally landed on my one leg, hit my head twisted both legs. Totally not fun. One of the doctors was off duty and I happened to talk to him after I went in the hot tub right after I fell. He told me to come in at 9am, if I needed anything. I was seriously afraid I was not going to be able to get out of bed in the morning. Luckily I was spared any serious injury. I was a bit sore and had broken blood vessels all up and down my left leg, but was pretty good to go.

I ate tons and tons of food and took lots and lots of pictures. The entertainment was great. I had to get off the ship in between cruises for about an hour and a half. But I could leave my stuff in the room as it was staying the same.

I met loads of fantastic DISers. It was far too short and I need a vacation from my vacation. I gotta get to bed. I haven't slept much since I am back and don't want to get whatever everyone has at the office.

Good night all.:3dglasses

Sounds like a wonderful trip excluding that nasty fall. I can't wait to read your trip report and see photos :cool1:

Deb I look absolutely horrible in a swimsuit! But I am bringing one anyway :rotfl:

I bet that you look amazing with all the weight that you've lost. We are all much harder on ourselves.

Yes, those! It makes me want to rent a car just to use the parking pass! I feel so special now. :lmao:

The parking pass is awesome!!! It really makes renting a car worthwhile. :thumbsup2

Welcome to the dark side :rotfl: :rotfl: Pin trading is addicting, more so for some people than for others :rolleyes1 ;)

Tom have a magical vacation filled with irreplaceable memories.:dance3:

Good Evening DDA!

All the packing is done, except for our carry ons and some of our toiletries that will need to go in the big suitcases.

I think I have everything. I have gone over everything that I can think of, so if we forget something, we'll just have to either do without, or buy it there!

Tom - I just want to tell you to have a fantastic trip!!! I'm waiting patiently for your TR and the pictures!!! I just know that Leighanna is going to have a marvelous time, and so will you and your wife!! Be safe!!

I got some Christmas shopping done today. Disney Shopping had $20 off an order of $80 or more and I had free shipping through Disney Visa. Ordered each of us (11 in all) a polo shirt with a different character for each person. I also got them personalized. I got pink for the girls and blue for the boys. It was only about $10 each when all was said and done. My DB's family is kind of particular in what they will and won't wear so I thought that these would be perfect. I will also make Mickey Head tie dye shirts for everyone. Planning this trip is helping with my Christmas shopping :rotfl:

Are you talking about ME? No, you couldn't be.
I just did "buy it now" on a lot of 10 but I am quite certain you must be talking about someone else.:rolleyes1
DH likes those "Countdown to the Millennium" pins. I had bid on 2 lots over the weekend and lost both of them, so I thought this lot of 10 would be a nice little gift for him. He said he wasn't disappointed that I lost the other auctions, but I think he really was.

Heads up!! ADRs are open for the Safari Character Breakfast at Tusker House!

Tammi - We have an ADR for a party of 10 at 10:30 AM if that still works for you guys.:)
