The boys & I were at Sears last weekend & they had their tv's on sale. I was so tempted to buy one, but we have to wait! So for now I just drool over them lol

We haven't been home long. Just ran to WalMart and got a 42" LCD HDtv and wall mount. :cool1: :yay: :dance3: :cheer2:

WTG Nicholas :cheer2:

We had a busy day. Nicholas' soccer game was at 11. They won 5-0 and Nicholas was so happy that he got a goal. After that it was home for lunch and a little rest. Then all afternoon we were at a cookout. Got home at 8:30 and the kids went straight to bed. They were really tired. I guess the first week of school really did them in.

Hope you are not to sore tomorrow Theresa :wizard:

We did some cleaning and then went and picked up a new to us refrigerator and dishwasher. Then went to work for a carnival where I fell off the steps trying to get into the dunk tank...so embarrasing...my knee gave out on me. I got an almost instantaneous headache and a bruised ego but I think both will eventually be okay.

Ouch! Hope his nose is ok!

DS crashed into the sliding glass door at the party tonight. In his defense that door is always open. DH and I were outside when it happened. I went inside and saw DS's eyes were watering. When I asked him what happened he said he ran into the door. There were a LOT of adults in there when it happened, as well as some teenage girls who were helping to look after the toddlers, so I am sure he was terribly embarrassed. I'm sure it hurt, too, because his nose took the worst of the impact. I very nearly ran into the door myself, so I can see how it happened!

Happy Saturday night, DDA!

Heidi - I hope the news on your mom is much better than you might fear. I will be praying for her. :wizard: Enjoy your new TV! :goodvibes

Elin - prayers and  to you and Bob, too. I will be keeping his family in prayer, too!

Theresa - ouch! I hope you're not too sore tomorrow! :wizard:

Tammi - WTG Nicholas!

Deb - enjoy your quiet house, and congrats on your successful pin hunting!

Elizabeth - :wizard: for DS' bruised nose and ego!

Well, I think I officially have caught Jonathan's cold. I could feel that tell-tale sign in my throat this morning, and sure enough, by the time we had driven to Austin, it was here. I don't feel too terribly bad, but am just having trouble breathing right now. Jonathan's has moved into his chest at this point, so I guess I have that to look forward to in a couple of days! I'll be out of town for work Mon. & Tues, and then on the plane to WDW on Fri. - I hope I find time to kick it! :guilty:

I'm sitting in my hotel room in Austin, though, with my sweet dog. :goodvibes My parents have been taking care of her for the last 2.5 weeks while we were doing all our traveling, so it's good to have her back. We've been curled up on the bed together, listening to the Longhorns play while everyone else is at the game (of course, they would be on a TV channel the hotel doesn't carry!). They played an UGLY game in the 1st half, but won handily in the 2nd half, thank goodness.

I've also been working on helping my mom's best friend plan a couple of trips to Disney she has coming up. She hauled off and booked a package for one in a couple of weeks at full rack-rate, concierge-level at the BWI! I about fell over when I heard what she's thinking of paying. I spent some time making a spreadsheet this afternoon, showing her how we could shave off almost $800! I think she might actually pay me for my trouble, too, but I have no idea what to charge her. Any thoughts? (I'm thinking it needs to be hourly, as if she's already stressing about her trip next Sept., it could be a long year. )

Hi, Janet! :goodvibes I hope you're able to find some shorts you like!

My mom was asking me earlier today what I plan on wearing to the MNSSHP this coming Friday - I have no idea! This trip has really snuck up on me!

Lindsay I am sorry you caught Jonathan's cold...sounds like you are doing the best thing for it!!

Thank you all for the well wishes...since my leg has been bothering me all week it's my own idiotic fault to even try getting into the dunk tank....anybody have a good OTC muscle relaxer/pain reliever???

This is sort of a pity post & one of anger, so skip past if you want, it is long!

Today was one of those days that I really needed to just stay home. I started the day by dropping off a stool sample at the vets. I went to work & about an hour later the vet's office called & asked if I could bring Mia in for a shot & some meds. I came home, got Mia & took her to the vet. Brought her home & went back to work. Called to inquire about the Jimmy & was told that they had taken it to the GMC dealership so they could do something with the sensor on the computer(can't remember what they said). Anyway the Jimmy was ready, but the keys were left inside & the service dept. is closed on weekends. So if we had an extra set of keys we could pick it up. well guess what, the extra set of keys was in my purse that was stolen(did not even realize this till today!). I was not a happy camper, I didn't want to wait till Monday.

I decided to call the dealership myself & see if maybe there was anyway they could get the keys for me. I talked to a very sweet girl named Tori. I explained the situation & told her I knew it was not her fault but thought I would try. She took my name & number & called me back about a half hour later. She had called one of the servicemen at home & he came in & gave her our keys. I was so happy & could not thank her enough! She told me that beings I was so nice to her on the phone she wanted to help as much as she could :goodvibes

I leave work again to pick Gary & Riley up. I drop Riley off for his baseball game & then Gary & I head over to the dealership to pick up his Jimmy. Gary gets the Jimmy & leaves to go to the garage to pay for the work done on it. I go to Walmart to get a few things & more Powerade for Riley. While I am standing in the check out lane, Gary calls me(this is where it gets real interesting!). He tells me it cost $520 & it is still doing the same thing as when we took it in  He said that after he paid & left the service engine light came on & it stated acting up. You can imagine how we were both feeling now.

Gary tells me to meet him at the garage. I was so scared that I would find the police there, beings Gary was so mad. Thank goodness there were none lol I take Gary home & I head over to Rileys game. After the game I bring Riley home & I finally am able to go back to work(ok I am tired now :upsidedow ).

I get done at work around 8, pick up Subway for supper, & now I feel like a vegetable lol

So we still don't have Gary's truck, but they have our money :sad2: They said they will call. I am not waiting another 2 weeks & if they don't get this fixed & quick I will be asking for my money back & going elsewhere

So that was my day, tomorrow is another day & it has to be better.

Sorry for the long story, hope you did not fall asleep reading it :rotfl:

Lindsay sorry to hear you caught Jonathan's cold. I hope you kick this before your trip :wizard:

This has been going around at work, I hope it stays away from me!

Oh Theresa, take care of yourself. :grouphug:

Me too! I am just not having very good luck at the moment.

You better get to thinking about what you are going to wear :rotfl:

Janet-it does sound like a day where the world went haywire around you. I am sorry
