Well here we are headed out on day 4, I guess you can tell who was in charge of pushing all the elevator buttons,
Our destination this morning was MGM, we were going to attend the Playhouse Concert and today's show would be the Doodlebops. I must admit that I had never heard of them, but Brandon had. I had read that you had to get a ticket for the concert as there was limited seating for each show. I was prepared to find a CM and find out where to get the tickets but when we got there they had a special line set up for tickets.
The concert was being held in a large tent set up behind the RNRC courtyard, and thank goodness it was air conditioned!
The first concert was at 10 and we had a little time beforehand, we were right by TOT and believe it or not Brandon said he wanted to ride it. I asked him if he was sure and was he still scared, he told me that only babies were scared and he wanted to ride. So HE DID IT! Now PawPaw had some serious claw marks where Brandon grabbed his chest during the drop sequence, but he was really proud of himself for doing it. He has however let me know that he won't be riding again, he said he didn't know who broke that glass but it scared him.
After that it was time to get in line for the Concert, and as far as kid's groups go they really weren't bad, here they are,
It didn't take long to figure out that Mo was the crowd favorite,
We got out of the concert in time to run into some more entertainment, I have to admit that I have never seen HSM, but once again Brandon knew who they were,
I guess taking a picture here has become a tradition for us, he doesn't fit quite as well as he did the last trip, and in case you're wondering he's not sleeping, he's dead. I made that mistake myself.
We headed over to Star Wars, Brandon loves this one too. From there it was on to Pizza Planet for lunch, the food here's is not fantastic but it's ok, and Brandon loves cheese pizza. And since we were eating in an arcade we had to invest some money in the games. We had given Brandon $100 in Disney dollars for his birthday that was his spending money, he bought a toy after Star Wars so I told him he could use the money he got in change in the arcade. Giving him his own money to spend worked great, he spent it all and then when he would ask for something else I would remind him that he spent all of his Stitch money and that would be the end of it.
After lunch we went to Muppet Vision, after Philharmagic this one is a little outdated but we still enjoy it. This is one of my favorite picture spots,
We ran into these two, if you're wondering where Brandon is in the picture, he wouldn't get anywhere near them. Do you see a pattern here? He wouldn't ahve anything to do with Aladdin and now he won't go near Kim and Ron . . . . .
We decided to pass on the car stunt show due to the heat, we had been when it wasn't quite as hot and it was miserable in the stadium. We headed back to Disney Animation, and we met these guys, Brandon was very excited to meet them, here he is holding hands with two rats, but he wouldn't get near Kim Possible?
It's also our tradition to get Icees and sit on the curb to wait for the parade. Brandon was playing with his Star Wars toys when he dropped one of the light sabers in the grate around the tree, a wonderful CM stopped and helped us retrieve it, thanks again, you made a little boy very happy. Then along came my favorites, the Streetmosphere Actors, one of the reasons I love MGM.
Here's my little guy anxiously awaiting the parade,
And the newest star of the parade,
DH couldn't get over the fact that Lightning and Mater were not in the parade, but here were the days Grand Marshalls,
Brandon loves parades and he almost messed up here and smiled for the camera,
He's a little more serious in this one,
And even though he wouldn't get near him during LOEMH, Brandon couldn't get away from this guy and ended up shaking his "Hook"
After the parade we headed back to POP to take our afternoon break, it would be a short one today as we stayed linger at the park than we had intended, but Brandon really enjoyed the parade so I'm glad we stayed.
Up next, dinner at Crystal Palace . . . . . . .
