Tammi I am so glad the relationship between you & Bob are going well. You deserve to be happy!

Thanks, Deb, and you are so right. I thought my world was coming to an end, and it did for awhile. But like the song says.....If you're going through h*** keep on going....which is what I had to do. Now I've met someone wonderful who treats me good. So I'm going to ride the wave and see where it takes us. Last night he and I were talking and I made the comment about how my children are always asking if he is coming over and that they have taken to him quite well. His response was 'maybe it's because they see that I make their mom happy.' Ok, I know that is sappy, but it made me realize that even my kids must see the difference in me. Sorry to go on and on, but I just wanted to share that.

Beth- all of our the awards ceremonies at our schools (elementary & middle school) are during the day and parents are invited to...encouraged to come. I was very disappointed at the parental turn out for Abi's 5th grade continuation but that's the first time I was. As a parent you can not be kept out of any school function. Sounds like your school administrators have gone a little loopy. I am sorry this is all happening at the same time for you.

He did not win the debate & he got a C on it. Sorry I did not get back with you, but things got busy & before I knew it, it was time!

Thanks Janet!

How did the debate go?

He had a tough subject....not very easy to get behind and support.

Hi, everyone! :flower3:

I hope you are all having good weekends - sounds like a lot going on everywhere. We are hoping for a quiet day here.

Yesterday was an interesting one. I was up until about 2 a.m. Friday night, finishing up my ADR planning once I got home from my work function. (I thought I had everything set, but then realized I had made no plans for the 3 days Jonathan and I will be at the GF before the rest of the family arrives! ) Then, I was up at 5:45 a.m. to get my notes together and call the Grand Gatherings Group Dining dept. It took me a minute or two to get connected to the right people, and by the time I did, the few tables they had at CRT under the "180+10" rule were gone. :headache: But, the great CM I was working with assured me that when I call back at the 180-day mark, I should be able to get a table with no problem, as I could have had my pick of tables for the 180-day mark yesterday. So, I still have that to worry about that reservation, as I'm making a ressie for 9 - all my nieces, plus moms, grandma, me and my mom.

It took almost 45 minutes to secure the rest of my reservations, many of them for a party of 16! :scared1: :faint: I was not expecting our group to have so many meals together, but we're averaging about 1 a day at this point. I learned a lot about group dining - mainly that Disney can't ensure such a large group sitting together unless you dine within the first 20 minutes, or the last 20 minutes, of a restaurant's dining times. So, we will be having a LOT of early dinners, but everyone will just have to get over it.

So, I was up at the crack at dawn, and against my better judgment, didn't go back to bed - I was doing some more planning, chores around the house, etc. Jonathan was working in the yard. I laid down on the couch at about 4:30, and fell asleep.

Shortly thereafter, Jonathan came in from doing the yard, and went to take a shower. When he got out of the shower, he stumbled into the living room, woke me up and said he couldn't feel his legs. His arms and hands were also clenching and cramping up, and he couldn't move them. His speech was slurring, and he was having difficulty moving his jaw, and it sounded like his tongue was swollen. Needless to say, this scared the absolute poop out of me, and I'm running around, trying to get clothes on him, saying I'm taking him to the ER. He's trying to fight me on it, but I manage to wrestle him into the car. I realize as I'm pulling out of our driveway that I really have no idea where to go, as the only hospital I know the exact location of around us is one that he doesn't have a good opinion of (as he's a pharm rep, he's in/out of a lot of hospitals). I decide to call 911, tell them what's going on as I'm pulling out of our subdivision, and the guy tells me to turn around and go home, as they can get EMT's and an ambulance out to me faster than I could get to any hospital (thankfully, we are close to a fire station). So, we turned back around, I got him back into the house and on the couch, and the EMT's arrived. This whole time, the guy from 911 is on the phone with me, monitoring his condition, and asking me for all sorts of signs of stroke. :scared1:

It was a great bunch of EMT's, and they got him stabilized with an IV drip, and on the way to the hospital. I think just having them there helped immensely, as one of the guys said Jonathan was so freaked out by what was happening that he was also starting to hyperventilate. We get to the hospital, they poke/prod, take blood, etc., and load him full of salt water. The final diagnosis was extreme dehydration and sun stroke, and it didn't help matters that he also has hypertension, and had had very little to eat before he did yard work in 90 degree heat. The hospital said in the summer they average seeing this in healthy men about 10 times a week. So, 5 hours later, we get to go home, and he learned a very valuable lesson. I'm just so thankful that I was home, as if it had been just about any other Saturday this summer, I likely wouldn't have been. Who knows, in his state, how long he would have waited to call for help.

So, needless to say, he's under strict orders to stay out of the sun for several days, and stay well rested, fed, and hydrated!

Don't let your DH's or family members do anything as stupid!

YIKES!!! What a scary afternoon. I'm glad that everything turned out okay. Thanks for the warning!

Good morning,

Thank you all for the birthday messages for Daniel!!!!!

I'm starting to add music to my slideshow and am having a hard time since the park audio thread was taken away. Does anyone have Bibbidi Bobbidi Boo downloaded that they would like to share with me?

I think I downloaded everything off of the OP's list from that thread. If you need anything, let me know.

Haven't they sent those kids HOME for the summer yet? Don't you people up north know it is after Memorial Day? Kids are supposed to be finished with school!:rotfl2:
My kids go til June 22.

It stinks for us now, but don't you Southerners know that August is a SUMMER month. School should start in September!
::yes:: ::yes::

I had the best surprise tonight. Bob was supposed to come over this evening. I told him I'd be home around 7:30 and we agreed 8 would be a good time for him to come by. So at 7:20 I'm pulling into my driveway and Alyssa yells "Bob's here!" (She sees his car in the driveway). That wonderful man came over as soon as he dropped his dd off and started mowing my grass for me. He sure knows the way to my heart! ;) :goodvibes  So of course I change clothes and go out and help, but it is so nice having it done. I was wondering how I was going to get it all done since I'm working late all week. And with TS Barry that came through over the weekend it seems to have revived the growing.

Now I'm going to bed.
Wow, he is a real nice guy. You deserve it Tammi. I hope we all get to meet him in October.

Thanks for all the prayers for Butch. I wish I had good news to report. Kathy had left a message, so I called & talked to her when I got home. Butch had surgery for a blockage to his heart, but he is still in a coma. The problem is that he was not breathing for 5-10 minutes before they revived him. They are going to wait 24 hours to see if he comes out of it. If not they will do a cat scan & see what his chances are for recovery. I am hoping & praying with all my heart that he comes back. His wife & grandson both need him. About 3 years ago Butch's son hung himself because his wife left him. Butch was the one to find him. They now have custody of their grandson. It is just to sad :(

Please keep them all in your thoughts. Hopefully tomorrow I will have good news.

I want to be in Disney World right now! :cloud9:
Me too!!! I have 76 left until our August trip!!!!

Thanks, Deb, and you are so right. I thought my world was coming to an end, and it did for awhile. But like the song says.....If you're going through h*** keep on going....which is what I had to do. Not sappy at all Tammi. It is great to see there are gentlemen in the world who know how to treat a woman. My DH is a true gentleman but I hope & pray my DD's can find someone like that.

I got the message and Bob and I are very excited, Chanon... thanks! For those who are wondering... Chanon has been helping us make all our arrangements for the California trip. Not only do we not have an ADR number for our Napa Rose reservation but there is no deposit needed to hold our room at the Grand Californian! Very different, indeed! :confused3
:yay: :yay: :yay:

I have been trying to keep up with the posts...:grouphug: to everyone.

Fly-by post ala Paula-style. :)

My friend emailed me this question this morning, but since we've never done the dining plan nor traveled with other family members, I don't know the answer! Any input would be appreciated. Thanks in advance! :thumbsup2

My friend writes:

I thought of this question today and wanted to ask you this before I proceed with more ADR's. For the ones I have made, I have placed them all under our reservation for 7 people. Since we are actually a party of 5 and 2, when we pay will they be able to split it like that or will it all be billed to the way the reservation was made which was 7 people? So, are we going to get docked our 5 credits and have to pay cash for the other 2 in our party or will they be able to pull the meal credits from both rooms? Does that make sense?

Yep, just tell them how many to take off each card. :)

WTG Jen!!

Tammi, glad you're so happy and that the kids love having him around too!

Doesn't Baltimore have a Duck Tour???? :rolleyes1

Yep and a Segway tour. Not sure if it is in the inner harbor or not though, but I think it is. I haven't been to Baltimore for several years, last time I was there I was in High school and I did a behind the scenes tour at the aquarium and we got to go on the walkway over the open shark tank.:thumbsup2 I want to do the shark encounter at Sea World where you are put into the cage with the sharks someday.:thumbsup2 I know some of you probably think I am nuts, doesn't matter I already know I am.
