Well i just got home from my girls night out--i had a blast --im exhausted, but it was so worth it!! im headed to bed since i have to be up in less than 6 hours --goodnight!

What a great evening. My DD and I went to a crop until midnight. It was a small place and most of the people knew each other. Everyone was so friendly. And Disney fans!!!!

Tomorrow Dutch Wonderland!:dance3: :dance3: :dance3:

I've gotta get some pictures off my camera.... be back in a momemnt....

Hi, everyone. Sorry I haven't been around today! I feel like a chicken rushing around with her head cut off! I think we're ready to go, though! The car is packed, the only thing left to do is toss toothbrushes in in the morning, and throw the cooler in before we leave.

We're stopping in Vegas for the night tomorrow, so it will break the trip up some! The kids are so excited I know they won't be sleeping tonight! Maybe I'll slip them a sleeping pill in their milk and cookies???

I don't think that I'll be able to post while I'm in DL, so until next week, my friends!!! I'm taking notes, pictures, etc., so expect to see a pretty comphrehensive report when we get home!

Have a great week, and know that I'm thinking about you all, and keeping you in my prayers!!! Good luck to everyone who needs it!!!

Glynis,

You and your family have a wonderful time. :goodvibes

Thanks for all of the congrats on my new job! My new little charge sent me flowers today with a note saying she is looking forward to having me for her nanny! This family is truly so nice.
That is so thoughtful! Hope I read better things about Momboss soon!

I just saw the coolest countdown calendar! Alot of work, I'm sure, but lots of fun too.

That is so cool!

Mark's picture made it to the finals  . http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=1460768
He is so proud of his picture, it is the one he has on his work desktop. :)
I love that picture!

I'm so stressing...

One of our neighbors came by today and told us that one of the boys that moved in up the street is a convicted sex offender. He is a 7th grader :scared1: He has apparently suspected that the kid might have issues, but then another neighbor says that she knows it to be true. He has lived there for several months and I have never had contact with him. They boys said that he rides the bus with them. I'm trying not to over react as it is all hearsay. I would like to know for sure, but I have no idea how to find out. I called the police dept and they said to call the Sex Offender hot line, but I believe that he would not be listed since he is a juvenile and is protected by law. I'm always careful to watch the boys when they are outside, but now I don't want them out of my sight. Friends of our live directly across the street from the boy and they said the he is VERY strange. They are going to make some phone calls and see if they can find anything out. His older siblings go to the high school that my mother works at and she knows them. She said they are a rough bunch. One of the girls got into so much trouble in school that she was placed "somewhere" outside of the family home. We also know that the father got into a fight at the bowling alley and has been banned for life. Great neighbors hey? So my friends WWYD?
:scared1: :grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

DS got a perfect score on the Science TAKS! We are so proud of him!! He also got commended performance in Math and Reading. His other awards were Outstanding Performance in Reading, Art, and Science, as well as a citizenship award that was voted on by his peers.:flower3:
Congrats to DS!!!!!:woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo:

Quick synopsis on spring in the Hardman household:

--3 trips to Kings Island
--2 trips to the zoo
--countless trips to the park
--first trip "home" (Old Key West) booked for December 1-8
--Matthew is crawling and creeping all over the place (he even attempted the stairs this morning :scared: )
--Alyssa is 95% potty-trained and loves public bathrooms
--Kevin is unopposed (again) in the fall election
--Party planning is underway for a big celebration on 07/07/07
--we're attending a family reunion in Canaan Valley, WV from 6/30-7/3
--I'm never, ever going to catch up on the laundry

That's all I can think of right now. :)
Lucky you....I think......

Congrats on booking a trip "home".

:wizard: Good luck with 7/7/7 preperations!

I probably missed you, Glynis... But, I hope that you and Alan and the kids have the BEST time with your family in DL and everything else you have planned. You worked hard to get ready for this trip, so enjoy!

Steffy - I am not the Pirates fan the rest of you are, but I have to admit those crocs are cute. I hope the day today is just wonderful. I remember going to Dutch Wonderland a time or two in my youth! :)

I am off to Kohl's in a few minutes. One thing I love about that store is their hours. Someone like me must have developed their marketing strategy! ;)

On Thursday I bought some new skorts and knit tops and a pair of sandals that were on sale. But today they are on sale for 1/2 price. I almost never return things to stores because I make very sure when I purchase them that they fit and are what I want. But, when we got Kristin's oxford cloth shirts for work last night I asked the sales clerk about a price adjustment and she said people do it all the time, so I am going back. This little trip this morning will probably net me $20-30 in savings!

I need to check the sales flyer to see if any of the things we got Kristin last night are also on sale today. Let me tell you that buying her clothes for work was a huge trial. She had to have oxford cloth shirts with a left breast pocket and heavy weight khakis (they suggest Dickies brand) as well as either brown or black shoes with matching socks and belt. She also has to wear plain white undershirts under the dress shirt and a colorful tie every day.

Well, NOTHING fit. A boys Arrow shirt, size 14 finally worked OK but we will need to take a couple of darts in the back. No pants fit. They didn't have any khakis that were heavy enough in the juniors and misses departments either. I remembered seeing an ad on TV for Dickie's brand pants made for women now so I suggested we go to Walmart to see if they carried them. Thank goodness they did! But the size 5 pants will still have to be shortened and darts taken in. I am glad they have to wear a belt and an apron because that will hide a multitude of sins as far as her uniform is concerned. And, then there is the problem finding brown socks. The only way we could get them was by buying sets at Walmart that also have 2 pair of black and one pair of khaki in the package. She/we will never wear those other socks. :(

She had better make some serious tips too... the clothes we bought last night came to close to $150!!

Good Morning DDA.

We're home from the campout. I need a nap ;) Hunter had a lot of fun and he seemed to sleep pretty soundly. Me, not so much. Chris is loading the truck for hazardous waste day at the dump. We hear you need to be there early or you will be in line FOREVER. The fishing derby starts at 9 so I'll take the boys to that. Then we'll run home and get hot dogs and punch for the cub scout picnic that starts at noon. We'll probably leave there early as I need to shower and get to work by 3:45PM. I'm pretty sure that I'll be exhausted when I hit the sheets tonight.

I need to get the kids dressed for the fishing derby and the car loaded with fishing supplies. "Catch" you all later :rotfl: :rotfl: Did I mention that lack of sleep makes me punchy? Can you imagine my poor customers tonight.

Good morning, DDA!

Stephanie - Why are you posting a picture of MY shoes?;) I actually haven't found the adult ones yet, but those are the ones I want. And the cake looks YUMMY! Enjoy your day!:)

Glynis - Have a FABULOUS trip!!:cool1:

Elin - I am always taking things back for price adjustments. That way I can buy more! Uniforms are a gigantic pain in the tushy. It is a huge production to find uniforms for DS. I hope Kristin enjoys Carrabba's! We like to eat there. I guess you can donate the extra socks to charity.

Deb - I am glad Hunter had fun! Sounds like another busy day for you!

Bernadette - Hello!:yay:

ugh..im a bit aggravated this morning...For the past week, my family has been saying were leaving a 8am, no later..last night, around 10, i called my mom to check times and said if they were going to change, to call me (i had my cell the whole night) ..so i got home, set my alarm for 630 and went to sleep..i wake up, shower, get ready,,,everyone is still sleeping...they changed the times and didnt tell me...so i am ready, packed, went to dunkin donuts, and when i got home, i "accidently" woke my brother up to find out what time were leaving..so here i am

sorry to vent, just a bit aggravated right now
