The DDA Trouble Free Zone Part 25

Good morning, DDA!

The boards wouldn't work for me last night, either.

This is going to be a long day. We had the worst thunderstorms come through at 2 AM. Between the storm and DH getting ready for work I was wide awake. Then here comes DS into bed with me because he was scared. So I got almost NO sleep from 2 AM - 6:30 AM when the alarm went off. DS tossed and turned and pulled the covers. It was not fun.

Never did hear from the lady about the cat. I told DH I wonder if she is out of town. They told me on Saturday that she wasn't at the adoption because she had a memorial service to attend. I assumed it was local, but maybe not. It is possible another volunteer picked up whatever kittens she had and brought them to PetsMart. I will try again to call her on both numbers later this morning. If I don't get a response I will start getting ugly tomorrow. I need to have DH look online to see if they charged his credit card.

im glad its over...i havent really felt like student teaching is over yet since i was there yesterday and i have to go back today for a field trip--hopefully after today it starts to sink in that i really have 3 days til graduation and 9 to disney ahah

Thanks Elin! I do plan to enjoy it! Last night was CRAZY at work, and now I am just happy that I won't have to go back for 12 nights!
Can you tell that I am excited?
In 4 and 1/2 months I will be even more excited. I will be leaving for WDW!

Good morning DDA!

The storms that went through part of the metroplex missed Kaufman, but must have gone through downtown as I got a call a little before 4 a.m. that our alarm at work was going off. That happens sometimes when the power blinks off.

I'm hoping that the "cap" they keep talking about holds today until after Andrew and Jake's soccer games tonight and Andrew's baseball game at 7:50 p.m. We're getting so far behind in soccer and baseball games. We have needed the rain since we've been in a drought for the last 18 months, but we don't need it all at once and I can do without the thunderstorms!

Brother & I just popped back in so he could pat Aurora. She is obviously lonely, because she let him pat her! Brother & I will go to the liberry in a little while. Brother asked me to read to his class, so I am doing that on Friday. I am hoping the librarian can make some suggestions on a couple of books.

Good morning all. I got on this morning and then was called to play some Webkinz so didn't get to say hello. I am off to finish the 9 loads of laundry from yesterday, but luckily only have 2 left (I think). Then I've got to get the kitchen back together and our room cleaned. I still haven't made it up there though it's been on my list for a few weeks. Hopefully, I can finally get it done before we leave on Saturday. Guess maybe I'd better pack straight from the laundry basket today if I don't want to have to do it again before Saturday.

I see that the group with our kitty has updated their available pets, and our kitty is still listed! I called the foster AGAIN and left another message.

I saw on that code thread that someone has their summer Mickey Monitor. Wonder if I will get one this time?

I sent an e-mail to the group asking them to tell me precisely what is going on. It wasn't ugly, but it wasn't nice, either. I understand that it might take a little while to get her in for surgery and whatever, but at the very least I expect for them to communicate with me about where we are in the process, and I expect the foster to return my calls. She is in possession of MY property at this point (not to degrade the kitten as property, but from a legal standpoint) so I think a phone call is not too much to ask.
