Good luck!It was okay--2 more to go!
i found out i have an interview on Monday at 1230!!
I did share last August in Morocco without any problems and maybe somewhere else? I think they may be trying to put a stop to it though. When I made my reservations for August (in more than 1 call) the CM's made a big deal out of saying "this requires 1 TS credit from each member of your party"-even when it wasn't a buffet meal.Has anyone had trouble splitting a TS meal using DDP? I thought that some of you had mentioned that you've done this to save TS credits for the 2 credit meals, but I was reading on the Restaurant Board that they will not split TS meals?
Got news today that a dear friend passed away on 4-30
He had been diagnosed with lung cancer 2 years ago.
I hope that you feel better! I also was hit with a ton of bricks yesterday evening...lovely UTI. It came on so suddenly. I went to the walk-in. The doctor couldn't believe that I didn't have symptoms longer, because she said that it was a bad one. It sure felt like a bad one! I went from nothing to being in tears in no time at all. Thankfully she also prescribed something to help with the pain. I still don't feel 100%, but it's a lot better than it was.
Ouch! The inside of my cheek is killing me. I apparently bit myself while sleeping on Tuesday night. I had a dentist appointment on Wednesday and she said the bite is on a saliva gland. I had hoped it would be better by now, but it seems to get worse each day. It hurts now from my ear to my neck. It hurts enough that I keep looking in the mirror for a swollen or black and blued cheek, thankfully there is nothing noticeable on the outside.

That we all feel better soon.

For nice weather everywhere this weekend so that we can all get those lovely spring chores, games and moving done. We will all be much happier.
Happy Friday!
We have a busy weekend with Daniel's communion so I'm not sure if I'll be on much so hope you all have a great weekend!
I am a nervoud wreck...my mom & MIL will be staying for the weekend staring tonight & they can drive me up a wall (mostly my mom) so I am very apprehensive about that which has made my stomach go all wonky.
We're in the process of hiring movers for the big things that we can't get up the stairs gracefully....there may be a few boxes left over from this weekend...we just really wanted to do it ourselves...cheaper!!
Well im officially done student teaching! im home and happy, but exhausted!!! Im going to just lay low tonight and be a bum so im sure ill be in and out
Well today is also the one year anniversary of alyssa dying..its been such a bittersweet day,,i read through the thread i posted when i was asking for prayers through Alyssa's illness...i miss her like crazy --i feel like i shouldnt since we only knew her for a bit, but its been so hard...is that strange
Glynis-thanks for posting your photos of the journals you made out of composition books a while ago. I made these for my friend's nieces. I used scrapbook paper I bought at Micheals that was heavy like cardstock so I trimed the paper as I couldn't have folded it over into the inside. They are not perfect but for a quick project I think they are pretty cool. I used a glitter modge podge.
Hi all!! I am over 50 pages back and don't know if I'll catch up. If there is any news I need to know, please let me know!!
We got back at 1am this morning and it has been a long day with a long weekend to come. The house is a disaster from all of the drop and runs for people heading down to OK in a hurry and then again this morning with the very late night arrival home. Today was work, school, school carnival and lots of errands.
Then just when I was ready to start the cleanup, I realized that there is a leak somewhere around the back door (newly installed last fall) and the living room carpet is soaked for about a 2 foot radius from the door, plus wet down through the basement. GRR! We've been trying to wet vac and blow fans to dry things out as best as possible, but the rain is supposed to continue through the weekend so it's probably not over yet. Hopefully, Loews will be able to do something to fix the door since it isn't that old.
As for the trip, everything went pretty well. We left KS Sunday morning and headed straight to OK. Kristi left here Sunday afternoon after Rachel got home from camp. Phil and Chris left to drive down on Tuesday. The service on Wednesday was very nice. I had spent all of Tuesday (almost literally) working on a photo memorial for the service and despite some panics Wed morning it turned out perfectly. What I still can't understand is that I didn't shed a tear the whole time I was putting together the slide show, but as soon as it hit the screen I totally broke down. It must have been the addition of the music as the songs were picked by others and I didn't really know either song, but they were absolutley perfect choices.
There were SO many people there and a lot more family then we even expected. Meme's step-sons (she was married to Bob for less than a year 12 years ago before he lost a returning battle with cancer) flew in, including one coming all the way from London though he arrived at 9:50pm Tuesday and had to fly back out at 6pm on Wednesday.
I'm rambling now, I know, but I guess it's just a sign that things are still processing. I still keep thinking that I can just push speed dial 7 on my cell phone and hear her voice. I also can't help, but think of the things that I should have done sooner - called again, gotten the family reunion off the ground two years ago when we first talked about it, etc. I can say that I no longer regret in the least having given up my covetted World Series tickets as that was my final visit to her home, though we did get to see her a couple of times since then.
Thank you all for your thoughts and prayers this week. In many ways, I think the strength to get through the week came from the prayers of my family and friends.![]()
Welcome home, Tia!
I'm glad that the service for your grandmother went well. My prayers will continue to be with you as you face the days ahead.
I think the most important news is that Theresa and her family are moving into their own home this weekend!
There's been a bunch of sickness going around the DDA. People are either on trips, preparing to leave for trips, or planning for trips. It looks like the October trippers are going to have a fabulous time!
Anne Marie's son is having his first communion this weekend. She's a nervous wreck, but is hoping for a great weekend.
Karen is getting ready for an interview and we're all sending pixie dust that all goes well for her.
Jennifer finished up her student teaching today, and is also preparing for a teaching interview that is on Monday (I think). We're all crossing our fingers for her!
Elizabeth is still waiting for job prospects. We're keeping good thoughts focused for her.
Several DDA kids are having good sports seasons, despite rainy weather. Keep it up, kids!
I know I'm forgetting a bunch, but that's what I can remember off the top of my head!
Shopping! YAY!is right!! I had a BALL today. I had 4 sales people plus both daughters helping me at Coldwater Creek for about 2 hours. I did not buy as much as I had wanted, but I did pretty well.

One reason I needed quite a few new things is that this past week I hit the 100 pound milestone of weight lost. There was a sales clerk there who had gastric bypass surgery who has lost 190 pounds! We had so much fun picking out things that she understood would fit and flatter the figure I have now, which is a lot smaller, but a lot less "firm." Let's say those leftover traveler's cheques from the December trip certainly came in handy today!

Elizabeth - I hope you got to go to the zoo and grill out!
Here's how I calculate it:
6 day hopper for Oct: $269.45
7 day hopper for Dec: $271.58 (additional days are only a few dollars)
Total for 2 expire tickets: $541.03
AP $462.21 you will also need a 1 day base pass if you keep the package at $71.36 for a total of $533.57. BUT.....with this option you will still have the 1 day pass to use in the future. The passes don't expire until 14 days after first use so if you don't use the 1 day pass in Dec it wouldn't expire until you use it. AND...you could use it to renew your AP if you went back in Oct 08.![]()

I'm home from work. Another painfully slow night, but at least I made more money than I would have sitting at home. Nick isn't feeling well. He went to the school nurse today complaining of a sore throat and ear ache. The nurse thinks it is viral. My concern is that he is supposed to go on his first boy scout camping trip tomorrow and he is so looking forward to it. I hope he wakes up feeling better and is able to go.I'm hoping to get my camper cleaned up tomorrow. We'll be using it in 2 weekends and I haven't touched it yet. It is also green up day around here so the kids are involved in that. Looks like another busy one on tap for tomorrow.
