Duke (the friend who passed) was so great. Always treated me like the daughter he never had.

I remember one time after we had just moved into a home in the same development he lived in. The house we were renting had a wood stove for heat and John was having trouble keeping it burning. We had a bad snowstorm, John had left for work and about 1/2 later his wife called to see if I needed anything from the store. Well he came over picked me up and took me to the store. On the way home, told me I was not allowed to stay home by myself. Brought me to his house and sent his brother in-law over to my place to keep the fire going.

Sounds like a good man!!

Theresa - It might not be that much more expensive to have the movers do it. If they are coming for the big things anyway then adding on boxes shouldn't cost a whole lot more. With your knee and the rain and so forth it might be worth a quote to see what the difference is.

We have a busy weekend with Daniel's communion so I'm not sure if I'll be on much so hope you all have a great weekend!

I am a nervous wreck...my mom & MIL will be staying for the weekend starting tonight & they can drive me up a wall (mostly my mom) so I am very apprehensive about that which has made my stomach go all wonky.

The inside of my cheek is killing me. I apparently bit myself while sleeping on Tuesday night. I had a dentist appointment on Wednesday and she said the bite is on a saliva gland. I had hoped it would be better by now, but it seems to get worse each day. It hurts now from my ear to my neck. It hurts enough that I keep looking in the mirror for a swollen or black and blued cheek, thankfully there is nothing noticeable on the outside.

That we all feel better soon.

For nice weather everywhere this weekend so that we can all get those lovely spring chores, games and moving done. We will all be much happier.

Ouch! Those things can really hurt! I hope that you feel better soon!

We had 2 meetings at work yesterday & then a few of us went out for drinks last night. It has been awhile since I have done that & I had a really good time! I think I need to get out more often lol

Garrett has a game tonight(as long as it does not get rained out) & Riley has one tomorrow as well as Garrett tomorrow night. I also work this weekend, so it should be a busy one.

Good afternoon DDA friends! The sun is shining and beckoning me outdoors. I had my physical on Monday and my mammogram today. Neither was too bad this time. I just got home and I should be getting back to work but I don't think I'll be able to do so. I've already got 45 hours in this week and will be putting in more this week-end so I think I'll follow the call. It is a little windy but I can handle that.

I leave work shortly to go to the closing of my house!!

I know that there are such sites out there as the girls have used them before. But I don't know the specific answer. Do you have a Job Center near you? They often offer those tests for free or low cost.

earlier this year i asked my cousin Shannon if she would go to the world next year with me and she said yes. i was planning on going at the end of September beginning of October. i remembered her birthday was in October so i am gonna see if my aunt would wanna go next year for the week of Shannon's birthday. id love to do some surprises for her like make her a shirt to wear on her birthday, get her a birthday button, cake, and let her do what she wanted that day. i think it would be fun.

this wednesday i will be going to a job placement place to see if they can help me get a job. the thing is if it isnt at the hight of my desk here i cant and will not be able to type as fast as i do here. i called a place that my attendant saw when she was going to get her son and so i will be interviewing wednesday again. for what i have no clue.

I hope that you feel better! I also was hit with a ton of bricks yesterday evening...lovely UTI. It came on so suddenly. I went to the walk-in. The doctor couldn't believe that I didn't have symptoms longer, because she said that it was a bad one. It sure felt like a bad one! I went from nothing to being in tears in no time at all. Thankfully she also prescribed something to help with the pain. I still don't feel 100%, but it's a lot better than it was.

Yuck! I'm so sorry about this! I hope the meds help, and it passes quickly!
