I'm no help either Glynis. Those there does look like there is a security feature. It looks like everyone has access at this point to my blog. I changed it to all No. However, I don't know how to add people to the groups so I don't know which groups you want to have access.

Hmmm, I thought it would be a good way to get my recipes out where y'all could find them, but I don't want to mess with something that's going to be too technical.

DH should be on his way to pick up DS soon. (In fact as I typed that he called to say he is onhis way.) When I looked in the living room earlier DS was asleep in the chair! The little guys always want to know why DS doesn't have to take a nap. Well, I guess sometimes he DOES need a nap!:rotfl:

I saw that, thanks! Unfortunately, we are going on June 3rd. Oh well. At least I don't have to pay for our hoppers. That's my parents Christmas gift to all of us. Then, all I have to do is upgrade to AP's when we get there.

Well, I'm finally caught up! So, I'm working on uploading my photos to Photobucket, and then I'll work on the next part of the marathon trip report. Hopefully I'll have something by this afternoon!

Yes, I am - unfortunately! I did come in later, though, to give the roads some traffic and time to thaw. I was really, really hoping to stay home, but no dice. The firm told us to "use our best judgment" in determining if/when to come in - well, apparently most everyone else has better judgment as the place is dead! :rotfl:

Traveling in Plano and down 75 through Richardson was a bit dicey in places (from Legacy to 635, it took me an hour). Once I got below 635 (and 75 is pretty much at underground levels), it was all clear.

I didn't get a choice. Momboss is TERRIFIED of the ice, but I don't think they ever watch local news! I called her this morning just to make SURE I had to come in, and Dadboss was already gone. I didn't even get to come in late! Which was OK, I guess. The only place we slid was turning on to Park Ln. by NorthPark.

I saw lots of footage last night of cars sliding around at Legacy and the Tollway. DH said he is making a mental note of where the water is now so he won't slide when he goes in tomorrow.:scared:

Until this morning, I could have made it in no problem, (though I closed the office for MLK so we didn't have to go in anyway) but we finally got ice between midnight and 9 a.m. today. By the time I would've made it in, it would have been time to turn around.

This darn storm did ruin our nights out this past weekend. We cancelled the Saturday night dinner with just the two of us and the family celebration last night because we were just too far from the restaurants and those darn weather forecasters totally MISSED the forecasts!

Hi, Marci!
Well, I am glad you didn't have to go out today! Sorry your dinners were ruined!:guilty: DH left this morning at 2 AM and there were a lot of bridges and things shut down. By the time I left at 8 AM it looked like everything was back open except one bridge in Ft. Worth. Side streets were slick, but I don't think it was a proper sheet of ice, just slippery.

Yes, we saw that footage, too. We live equi-distant between 75 and the Tollway, so I can go either way, but have been choosing to go 75 lately because of the TW's construction. Seeing that footage, I thought - well, maybe it is going to be bad tomorrow.

I agree with you, Marci - the weathermen really blew it. They almost looked gleeful last night when things did begin getting slippery - absolution, I guess. Sorry that your dinners didn't go forward - I hope you guys can make them up!

Vicki - I saw these pics of CBR, and thought you might enjoy looking at them. They're some of the prettiest I've seen taken of some of the grounds: http://www.yourmagicaljourneys.com/Resorts/Mod/CBR/CBR.htm

Still deciding whether to stay CBR or WL in March - was leaning towards CBR, but then was able to snag a std. view AP rate at the WL for our 3 nights. I'd really like to see the new rooms and have a better experience at the Lodge, but then I also like the guaranteed king bed and cheaper price at the CBR. Decision, decisions...

:rotfl:

Marie Osmond Dolls is currently on QVC. Guess what the current doll is? Baby Donny!!!!! He was even a cutie when he was a baby. Chuck would shoot me if I bought a $149 doll! :lmao: Luckily, I'm not a doll collector!

Thanks for the link to the pictures. I can't wait!!!! Less than 6 weeks and I'll be at Disney!!!!!!

the flowers were my least favorite part of the cake.

I agree, I don't really care for the flowers. Do you know what your colors will be? Might I suggest tying the colors into the cake rather than just off white and brown? The Mickey would be very cool, especially if only a few people knew about it. ;)

Hmm. Dolls don't do much for me. Which is good, because you could spend a fortune on them!

I still have several BIG Rubbermaid bins full of Beanie Babies, many that I paid a premium price for. Now they are worthless and I don't have the heart to just drop them off at Goodwill or whatever. I might gather up my courage and take them to the AIDS agency when they do their Easter baskets for clients this year. It just kills me to think how much I "invested" in the stupid things. Probably enough to pay for a Disney trip.:sad2:

I have several thousand dollars worth of beanie babies and I have 3 of each as we were collection 1 for each boy. I keep hoping that they will be highly sought again before the boys start college. I'll unload them then  Probably a pipe dream, but you never know.

Chanon - My cake was white with sort of scrollwork frosting. We had the ceramic bride and groom on top, with flowers on the lower layers. My colors were black and white, and the flowers were 3 different shades of pink roses. The brightest ones were hot pink, then the other 2 were lighter shades of pink.

Pictures please :goodvibes

Deb

ETA: I see you can't scan them in. I may dig out a few from our wedding to share later

Jen I hope all is well with your grandmother :wizard:

Deb how are you feeling today?

Tammi I hope your jaw does not get any worse before your visit to the dentist.

It is snowing & finally looks like winter is here & it is cold! Dh finally got my curtains up today

Hope everyone is having a great day!

I think that's my problem - I have too many ideas for what I want to do. Pumpkins or apples? Mocha and Ivory or Green Apple and Platinium? All out fall with leaves or steer clear of all fall elements completely? I need a wedding planner.
I think you have 20+ wedding planners right here. Do you want to run ideas by us or would you prefer we throw them out at you?

Deb

Chanon - what about going with fall colors, but more pastel-y shades?

That might work. I think of fall colors as browns and orange, but that doesn't make me think wedding. Weddings tend to be brighter and more cheery. JMO

Take the Dr. Phil quiz.
http://www.ultsoftware.com/PhilQuiz.html

My results...

Your Score was: 40

According to Dr Phil:
Others see you as sensible, cautious, careful & practical. They see you as clever, gifted, or talented, but modest. Not a person who makes friends too quickly or easily, but someone who's extremely loyal to friends you do make and who expect the same loyalty in return. Those who really get to know you realize it takes a lot to shake your trust in your friends, but equally that it takes you a long time to get over it if that trust is ever broken.

i took that quiz made a 32 and it said same thing
