I am so excited. I just helped my sister set up a very quick trip to WDW for her and my one other sister :yay:
She had been so down after putting her dog down the week before Christmas and just decided to visit our sister who lives in St Pete, Fla. I know given the chance she would try to drive over even if it was a day trip. I told her a one day ticket was only $71 including tax. Then I got to looking at the dates of the Pirate and Princess party and one of them was during her stay. SOOOO I sent her an email with the title Enabler Alert and copied the information about the party and then advised she could just stay at a very inexpensive hotel and do the party that night and then get up and go to Epcot the next day.
Well she called and was able to get a night at Pop---so for $288 for the two of them, they will do the party and then the next day at Epcot. Just a few dollars more for food and they are all set. Plus they can use Disney transportation. :yay: :yay: :cool1: :dance3: ;) :cheer2: :cheer2:
I am so very excited for them. Yes I want to go down too, but I will wait to visit her in April over Easter.

As I sit here in the kitchen it is 61 degrees and the birds are singing outside, the sun is shining and the trees are ripe with buds. I bet we are going to get hit BIG TIME with a winter storm sometime in the next couple of months, but it sure is delightful right now. I wish I could pack it all up in a box and send it to you all who need it.

Its not that warm here, but i keep thinking the big storm is coming!

Jen - How's your grandma doing?

Thanks for asking..
it has been a really rough couple of days. As of now, she is s till in the intensive care unit and will be for at least another day, depending on any other complications. They removed her breathing tube yesterday and she is now able to sit up and talk. When she talks, it sounds like she is out of breath and wheezing--very scary to hear. She is still having irregular heart beats and her blood pressure and sugar is high. They said she is doing better, but were still trying to determine if there is damage to her heart from the trama. I went in to see her yesterday and i couldnt recognize her..i actually looked right past her b ed trying to find my grandma..it was hard..i just came back from the hospital again and there is no change..hopefully we will talk to her doctor later..
I will update as soon as i can!

Just a quick pop in to say hi...

Friday night Emma and I headed to the mall to pick out glasses for her and then I dropped her off at my parents, she just got home this morning. I ran a few errands and picked up dinner at Carraba's for Eric and I. We rented the Da Vinci Code and as soon as I finished dinner I fell asleep on the couch.
I spent most of yesterday painting the girl's playroom. So far it is black (chalkboard paint) and lime green (left over from Emma's room) I need to hit Home Depot this afternoon for some more paint, I thinking of a bright blue. Once the walls are done I am going to paint different color circles on the walls and in each circle put a Disney Character. I am hoping to get the walls done tomorrow as I have no daycare kids and Eric will be off to watch the girls.

I did manage to finish watching the DaVinci Code last night. It was good but I liked the book so much better.

Right now Emma and her cousin are using her new Easy Bake Oven. Does thing really work? I have serious doubts!! We are headed out later for dinner at our friend's house. I am supposed to bring dessert, do you think I can bake something for all 8 us in the Easy Bake?

I hope everyone that is having winter weather issues stays safe. It is 50 and cloudy now, with rain on the way.

Deb~ I feel your pain, Molly has been really horrible the last 2 weeks or so and I am beginning to think I need to have her reflux meds adjusted. She is normally a handful but never to the point of being downright unbearable/grumpy. The tiniest thing sets her off and she as a tantrum for a good 20 minutes!

Amy~ I love the pictures! Congrats to Kevin! I wish we were closer to get the kids together for a playdate and maybe some adult time for moms.

Jen~ How's your grandmother doing?

Janet~ Was your car damaged at all? Thankfully no one was hurt.

Sending :cheer2: pixiedust: and :grouphug: to all. I caught up but didn't quote anyone and can't remember all that I read.

Sorry. Jen and I were cheering for Dallas and the Eagles put them in a tough spot when they beet them.

EXACTLY!

it was great though because i was babysitting and the kids WANTED to watch football--i put them to bed at halftime, but it was KILLING me not to yell at the tv...especially when new orleans did the lateral and dropped it..o man was i freaking out!

Go bears!! *cant have seattle winning after they beat the cowboys!* and go patriots!!!

Your actually missing a good game so far. Bears up 14-7.
Ultimately I want a remach of Superbowl XX. It was the Patriot's 1st superbowl, and the Bears absolutely destroyed them something like 56-7  :sad2:
