Vicki - did she get them transferred locally or was it a mail-order thing? I would like to get my parents' old home movies done.I'm burning copies of the 3 family DVD's Mom brought for me and more copies and more copies and more copies and ...
Well you get the picture. I had to make copies for 3 aunts, 2 cousins, 3 nieces & nephews, and my 2 girls. I have 1 left! Thank goodness.
Jennifer - Glad to hear you weren't lifting all day! That definitely would have aggravated the problem.
Stephanie - I have FINALLY remembered who it is that you remind me of! I have been trying to think of it ever since we met. There is a lady who used to own a boutique in the mall where I loved to shop for Brother & Sister. Her name is Robin. She was always such a delight, and her mom, Rose, would sometimes help out and read stories to Brother while I was looking at things for him. She moved her shop to an area of town that is farther north than I ever go, so I haven't seen her in awhile. I always enjoyed going in to visit with her, even if I didn't really need to buy anything for the kids. Of course I usually ended up buying something because she had the most unique things. She put so much thought into the merchandise she ordered. I have been wracking my brain, so I am quite pleased I finally came up with it!![]()
Steffy-it's budget related-brain numbing for sure!![]()

oo speaking of tests, we found something out yesterday that i forgot to post..
My brother got his state wide EMT test scores back (his graduation was just for passing the class , not the test)...They say that 60% of people that take this test do not pass it the first time......but, my brother called me yesterday and
MY BROTHER IS OFFICIALLY AN EMT!!!!!
Jen-- tell your brother congrats!!
congrats to your brother on passing the first time.![]()
The one I'm reading right now is called "Things We Wish We'd Known". I also checked out "Homeschooling Our Children, Unschooling Ourselves" and "Reaping the Harvest", but haven't started those yet. I love books that give real live examples of homeschooling. Two of my favorite books are these books:

They cover so many differnt types of families and homeschooling styles that I feel like I have a better understanding of the possibilities.
My biggest struggle is finding books that are not religiously based. So many of the books are written by people homeschooling for religious training/reasons. Since that isn't a big reason for our choice, I would like to find more things from other homeschoolers.

Well, it's taken me 3 showins in the last week, but it looks like I finally get to see all of the M*A*S*H finale. So, I'm going to grab a snack and watch the last half hour with my dad. Have a great night everyone!
Goodnight DDA![]()
