Terry - I can't wait for next week. Both Denise and I are very excited. She designed a gorgeous shirt for us to wear to the Pirate & Princess party. I sure need this getaway!

I cannot wait to see pictures of the skirt. :goodvibes

Jen - you only have one semester left right? That's pretty exciting!!

Vicki - funny you should ask about the dog... Tonight was NOT a good night. Matt came upstairs for about 10 minutes and in that time the dog chewed up his absolute FAVORITE stuffed teddy bear that we bought at the Disney outlet store about 4 years ago. The nose has been torn off and Matt is crushed. Oh the joy of dog ownership!

 for Matt.

You & Denise are going to have such a fantastic time. We want pictures when you get back.

We'll take some while we're there and we'll report back about the parade and fireworks. The fireworks were the best part of the Halloween party - I'm curious to see if they are just as good.

yes!! just student teaching and i am done!
I am done student teaching May 4, graduate May 11, off to disney May 17!

May is one of our favorite times of year to visit the world. Except for the darn love bugs! Hopefully they won't be out in full force this year.

So I survived work and the Girl Scout Me and My Guy Dance today. There were about 115 girls and 90 men, mostly fathers but some uncles, brothers, family friends, Grandpa's etc. They all had an absolute blast, the only complaint that we heard was near the beginning and that was that there wasn't enough seats. That was while they were still arriving, however they quickly found out the true reason they were there to dance and they did.

Myself and my co-leader took pictures of all the girls and the man in their life. We had 3 cameras, 7 memory cards and 4 photo printers. We were taking a few pictures passing off the memory cards and moving onto a new card while the pictures printed as they took forever or so it seemed.

I took Brooksie but I completly forgot about him:sad2: :sad2: as I was so busy.

I had a nice chat with my co-leader about how well this year is going and how much happier the girls seem and that they are actually showing up to events, we have been having near perfect attendance and that is pretty impressive with 16 middle schoolers. Last year she said with the same girls was totally different they didn't want to go to things and weren't showing up.

Reason this discussion came up is because she wants to know what I am doing next fall because by Thinking Day the end of February, the Service Unit will want to know if we plan on leading again next year. Co said she was thinking this was going to be last year but is reconsidering after talking to a potential bridging leader, as long as she knows she has commitment from someone who will do something AKA me.:lmao: Our 3rd co hasn't done much of anything and she doesn't want someone who is just a warm body.

6-18 months ahead of time is so hard for me to plan. Who knows where I will be or what I will be doing. It isn't a matter of whether or not I want to do it, it is a matter of if I will be able to do it. I have enjoyed this year, it has been so much less stress and I get along with her very well. Her daughter was in tears when her Mom had told her she wasn't doing Girl Scouts next year. So we will see what happens.

I hope this isn't too confusing.

Marti,

My two sisters are going to the party on Feb 5. If you have time could you give me a quick taste of how it was? I know getting back will be busy but that sure would help. Especially if there is something she should really make sure to see.

SO we got Cassidy's first semester's grades today!! :scared1: She warned me that there was a "not so good" grade in math.....I looked and I think they heard me yell in Denver after I saw the F in that class. She is grounded indefinitely and will have to take math her senior year to get into any colleges...she compounded her predicament by swearing at me.

Her GPA is okay even with the F but I am just so disappointed and sad tonight.

:grouphug: :grouphug: :grouphug:

for those of you who are gamers or have gamers in the house....which system would you get??? PS2 or Gamecube. Jim has a gift card to best buy and he decided to get a system...this will be the first one in our house other than Abi's GBA.

Thanks!!

Jonathan loves his PS2!

 for Matt.

Here's an example of the love this kid had for his stuffed Mickey bear:

I'll make sure to report in as soon as we get back. When do you leave for your trip?

I've read all her books - and I'm not dissapointed with any of them!

...and where can I find one to rent?! I don't want a limo!

...and since a few of you asked....my favorite in order is #1, #4, #2, #3.

Chanon -- #1 is my favorite too! It has classy, unusual flowers, and the apples are very popular in regular arrangements right now. I haven't seen them in a bouquet, but I like how they really make it different, and somehow more elegant and rich. JMO.

All the wedding pictures have been fun to see. Marti -- the picture of Paul kissing your hand in front of the church with the classic car gave me goosebumps!

I'll see if I can get some of ours scanned in tomorrow.

Actually, I am not going this time. They will be there only Feb 5 for the party and the next day at Epcot. My one sister had to put her dog down the week before Christmas and was just having such a hard time. So she decided to fly down and see our other sister who lives in St. Pete and I mentioned about the party and gave her some price information, and the rest is history. $144 per person for hotel and basically two days at the MK and Epcot. :goodvibes

Maybe next year

Marti it is nice to see you posting! Look forward to hearing about your trip with Denise.

Talk with you all tomorrow, night

Thats ok, I found a place in Stroudsburg and it will be cheaper to make it myself. My sister is a baker so she can decorate it for me. Thank you.

I live in Berks County, so that is about 30 to 40 minutes away. Sorry, don't really know of any bakeries in that area.

Marti - good to see you - loved the pics of you and Paul! How many years has it been for you guys? You both look the same! :goodvibes

 for Matt for the Disney Bear casualty. I have the light-colored one, and just love it. Guess you're going to Disney at just the right time to get another one! :thumbsup2
