Yuck! Here's hoping that it pans out QUICKLY, so you can be excited again! :wizard: It sounds like your DH is sticking to his guns at least, which is a bonus (in my opinion). I think that's really what needs to happen, as others on here have said. YOUR family (immediate) needs to take their vacation and let others deal with meeting up with you if they can swing the dates, etc. I'm glad they were reminded that YOU all invited them to come along.... it wasn't something you are doing for them, etc.

I hope this passes quickly and your family is able to enjoy the planning and the trip the way it's meant to be done! :grouphug: :goodvibes

Thanks - it's so nice to be able to come here and spill my guts and get responses like this :goodvibes

:wave: HI;

I noticed the Steeler's in your signature!!!! My husband has not been very happy with me for the last few days because although I LOVE the Bengals, I LOVE Ben Roethlisberger!!!! I just think he is adorable, especially when he was on Letterman  !!!! But even though I keep reminding DH that he is from Ohio, he still is not liking him too much or me either for that matter when I gush ebery time he is on TV.... Is this a problem that he is 6 or 7 years younger than me???

Welcome Julie!!!!

Ahh, a girl after my own heart  We actually know the Roethlisbergers a few times over and he is ABSOLUTELY a class-act, fantastic guy. Makes him even more adorable. Thankfully for me, DH likes him just as much (although maybe not as gushingly :rotfl: )

No problem! That's what this place is for, no? :goodvibes

I invited and wanted desperately for my family to come on our trip.... and pretty much centered the planning around them. .... and even that was hard, because it wasn't our "normal" style. I can't imagine someone wanting to tell me how to do things.... I would go berserk!

Spill your guts as often as you need to ;)

OK, this is the reason I wasn't posting last night because the trip drama continues. DH is getting so fed up that he almost wants to cancel the trip outright because he is so sick of all the drama :sad1:

So sorry that the drama is causing so much stress. Here's some pixie dust from Tinkerbell herself. :tink:

I think you guys are awesome for trying to include his family. If they give you any more problems, tell them that there are others who are much more selfish (me!!!!) that will not invite family for this very reason.

I'm glad that your DH is standing up for you and yours. Only two more weeks and the stress should be over. You'll have your plans booked and you can start "planning" your wonderful trip. Once you get there, you'll forget the stress and leave wanting to schedule the next trip.

Don't forget you guys are awesome for trying to include the family in your trip. If they can't make it when you had planned, then you did all that you could.

Now to rub salt in the wound I just checked the airfare again and it went back up  I can't catch a break!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! That's it- the next time I find it again I am booking it and I will tell the others in the party and if they want to dilly dally again than it's their fault that they missed out on the deal!!!!

Well, we're going! I seriously can't believe it. We've never planned such a spontaneous trip (it's only six weeks away)! :tink:

We're staying at POP again (we're on a budget you know ;) ), but we're still getting one AP. It still saves us $83 and we'll have it for baby #2's first trip next winter or spring.

This will be the first trip where we won't make ADRs for every single day...again, a money issue. We'll still have to plan a few character meals, of course, but if anyone could suggest your absolute favorite, yet slightly healthy, counter service, I'd appreciate it. We love Tusker House!

Thanks for all your encouragement! And thanks again Lindsay for looking up all the AP info! I have a few things to do now... :rotfl:

Amy :)
That's great. Have a fun time.

Again.
:thumbsup2 :sunny: :cheer2:  :cool1: :woohoo: :bounce: :hippie:

That was the fastest divorce I have ever witnessed!

Vicki,

I love your autograph pages and t-shirts designs. Those will really get the attention in Disney from the CM's.

That's not what I imagined.

Commercial: Ladies, it is that time of the month? Are you not feeling your freshest? Try Summer Breeze... :confused3
:rotfl2: That's what I thought when I first read it too.
When I was a teenager, I wanted to name my first duaghter Misty Lace. My mom thought it sounded pornographic or something so she's glad that I had all boys. :rotfl: Of course, now that I'm older I like Annabelle. My mom thinks that's too old fashioned sounding. :confused3 I think we just don't agree on girls names. Not that we need to, DH and I are still on the fence on that issue.

I love the baby designs. The magic lamp one is too cute. Would have come in handy with my last pregnancy. ;)

Hi, everyone. Will have to go back and read to catch up. Feeling better here- FINALLY!

I have something I'd like some advice and feedback on, please. I got a call this morning offering me both prenatal classes each month (instead of just the one I teach currently). If I teach both prenatal classes, I would only make $100 short of what I'm making currently. That's 2 days work a month vs 12 days (plus workshops, etc).

I'm also considering working as a substitute teacher in the public school system where the kids attend starting this fall (if I quit teaching preschool). Then I could sub when I wanted, not have to worry about missing their activities, volunteer at the school, and hopefully not get sick so much. I do enjoy the preschool and like the women I work with, but it is a 40 minute commute and not much money, I'm not sure. BTW, subs make $60 per day up to 10 days, and then it is $70 per day.

Now, if I could just figure out how to sell these shirts (or something else) on Ebay, I wouldn't have to worry about it at all!

And, thanks to Kevin for the inspiration for my new signature. It's definitely my favorite one yet. And yes, my dreams really did come true!

I have an Anabelle in my class at school. She's a great kid! I love the name. Very Southern.

Thanks. I have spent over a month with the family design creating it, modifying it, printing it, modifying it some more, printing it, modifying it ... you get the picture. I printed it out one final time at lunch today. My DH and I pinned it to the sweatshirts to see how they looked. He was concerned the castle would make the lettering unreadable. We ended up printing it bigger and it is very legible. We finally have the final product. No more changes. I am printing them on the transfer paper tonight!

I need to stop playing with this design and finish my autograph pages, mousekeeping envelopes, and design some more t-shirts. Only 23 more days and I'll be sitting at Port Orleans Riverside relaxing after a long flight. Woohoo!!! :cool1:

I had to chime in...when I was teaching there was a toddler named AnnaBelle(I love the name) and she had a baby sister named Clarabelle....not only confusing for mom I think but the first thought that popped in my head was two cows chewing cud. :teeth:
Now I like both names but would not ever think of having my kids named so similarly....I have a hard enough time with Cabi....I mean Cassidy and Abi :rotfl2:

Well, I think the DDA PD is some powerful stuff!

My labs are normal, and the sonogram of the knots on my neck appear to be large "reactive" lymph nodes - just one chain of them, but no "concerning" characteristics. Since I'm not presenting any other symptoms, and my bloodwork didn't reveal anything, my dr. has just placed me under observation for the time being, and will evaluate whether they want to biopsy in about 3 weeks, should there not be any improvement.

I'll take that as good news for the time being - thanks for being a calming presence last night, and for all the good wishes. It is very much appreciated! :grouphug:
Good news. I hope things improve so you won't have any more worries. :wizard:

This reminded me of a poem my Grandfather taught me when I was a kid.

The gum chewing student
and the cud chewing cow
are quite alike
but their different somehow.
And what is that difference.
I see it all now.
It's the intelligent look
on the face of the ... cow.

I immediately thought of a cud chewing cow when I heard the name Clarabelle. Isn't there a commercial or show with Clarabelle the Cow?
