Oh, yuck, Jennifer! Prayers and PD coming your way. I hope it goes ok for you.

Eh, it's really ok! I'm getting used to going, the stupid shots, etc.... and really, today is the first pain-free day in almost 2 years, so I'm still keeping my chin up!

I just can't believe how much this is going to cost overall..... and I'm certain this isn't the end of it, because it's happened before! :faint:

Thanks though, I really appreciate it! ::yes::

Not inappropriate at all!! That's a fantastic story - and so great for your DH :goodvibes So where can we see the picture?

I'll check with DH to see if it's available anywhere. Not sure, though. Thanks for the interest.

Thanks for all your comments this morning...

Unfortunately, the dentist visit didn't go as planned. My #$*(@# teeth are so daggon soft that she started drilling and it literally collapsed on itself (one half anyway). :confused3 Grrrrrrr.....

So now it's an extraction Friday, and eventually a bridge.

All this, and I'm the worlds most OBSESSIVE teeth cleaner.... but it just doesn't matter. I just don't get it. Darn genes. :headache:

So now I'm here, studying the best I can, contemplating how much this is going to cost me this time around :faint:

I'm so sorry, Jennifer. That really stinks! I get to take one of my 3 year olds to the dentist in a couple of weeks to get her teeth fixed. She was on an antibiotic when she was a newborn, and we were warned that it might hurt her teeth. Sure enough, it did. Now her 2 front teeth are so bad, I'm quite worried. Pediatric dentist, here we come!

I hope no one minds or is offended, but I feel the need to brag on my DH a little bit today. I don't know how large the news story of the space capsule "Stardust" landing last weekend was where you all live, but here is was huge! My DH is a field photographer for a local news station, and was sent to the landing site to cover the story. Unfortunately, the weather report wasn't so good and the forecast was for cloudy and snowy. DH had to be there at 3:00 a.m., and he left me at 10:30 the night before, to give himself time for the 3 hour drive plus any snow and ice he might encounter.

He was the first photographer to arrive, and the NASA people gave him a prime site. Other news stations started to arrive, but none of them set up their equipment because they all thought the cloud cover and snow would hamper their visibility. DH, however, was all set up and ready to go. Finally, about 3 minutes before the re-entry, the snow stopped, the clouds shifted and there was clear sky. The capsule appeared in a large fireball with a tail streaming out behind it and DH was the ONLY photographer that captured it! The NASA people couldn't get their camera out until much later, and none of the other news stations got it on film at all. After it was all over, everyone was scrambling to get DH's film from him. The Discovery Channel wants it for a special they are airing later this month, CNN wants it, NASA wants it, etc. DH was a little bummed, because he can't sell the film. It legally belongs to the station he works for. If he had just been filming on his own time, he could have sold it for quite a bit of money.

However, I'm so proud of him! He takes such pride in his work! Thanks for letting me brag a little. I'm sorry if this is inappropriate!

Brag away :goodvibes ::yes::

Good morning Clare! I couldn't sleep - I'm up with pain from what I hope is just a urinary tract infection. I don't get them often, so I'm not sure if that is all it is. The pain is kicking the crap out of me - so I thought I'd check in to see how everybody is doing.

I missed DDA/Golden Globes - I was on with my college roommate discussing where she was taking me for lunch for my birthday - God I love eating out! :teeth: I hope you all had a good time talking and watching - I hadn't seen most of the movies mentioned, or half the television shows!!

My computer went haywire last night and kicked me off - it looks like it decided that it should all tell you three times how crappy my night was!! It's possessed I swear :badpc:

Originally, my post had given you a hard time about that .... but I thought if you were still in pain, I would be safer to just leave it alone ;)

How are you feeling today?

My oldest dd came home early from school feeling sick. She is laying on the couch (my my little dd) watching her favorite movie..Mary Poppins.

Dick vanDyke just said "as quick as you can say Bob's your uncle..."

I had to laugh to myself! :rotfl2:

That's too funny that his name gets starred out...... it's his name, for crying out loud! :rotfl:

But you know, I can even hear that part in my head!

Whew! Caught up again. So Sorry I missed the rest of the Globes Posting Party but DH was starting "24" with or without me and I couldn't miss it! :teeth:

Glynis: Congrats to your hubby- that is so cool!!!

Jennifer- Ouch! Take care girlfriend!

Marti- If you are in that much pain PLEASE go to the doctor. Might be a kidney infection and not just a UTI (I had one in college and :scared1: It hurt!!)

Denise- Didn't you learn your lesson before about posting about "stools" :rotfl2: :rotfl2: Sorry, couldn't resist- I love the chairs though!

Clare-
My Valentines Decs really aren't worth the effort to photograph :goodvibes Just some heart window clings on the patio doors and some Valentine's towels in the bathroom. But when Easter rolls around, I promise to post- I get into that one almost as much as Christmas!!

Glynis it is NEVER inappropriate to praise a good job done. Hell, I'm proud of him and I don't even know him!!!!! I'm sure the money would have been nice, but since he couldn't sell it legally, at least make sure they give him the photo credit each time it is run. That'll get his name out there! Tell him we're proud of him!

We have our pre-school carnival on Saturday. There are tons of games, food, activities, rides, and those bouncy things. We also have a silent auction and each class does a basket and stool.

I was in charge of our class' stool. I painted all day yesterday. The months are the children's fingerprints. I bought Rees' stool 2 years ago, Brantley-Kate's last year. so this year I HAVE to be the high bidder for Davis' stool, no matter the price. They are really cute.

Here are the pics of my finished product. I think it turned out very well.

uh - wow! I'm really impressed. Its a great idea -- did you ever think of doing one for the teacher as an end of the year gift? She/he could use it to stand on to get things and you could personalize it with the year. I think it came out great!!

:wizard: I hope you feel better soon. UTI's can get really bad, so try and get to the dr. before your trip. I had one that I put off going to the dr.(I was going out of town with fiance at the time.) and ended up in some ER in the middle of the night. Cranberry juice is supposed to help as well.

You could've given me a hard time - that's my humor anyway!! But it logged me off and I got back on today to see that it posted three times - now I look like (as they say in England) an ****.

Thank you ALL for your kind words... I'm just back from the doctor and now all caught up. It appears as a UTI right now so he gave me some pills. However, he found blood in my urine and had to have it sent away. So naturally that makes me a little more nervous.

In the meantime, I got some Xanax for my flight on Sunday. I've never taken it, but it is supposed to be great for anxiety and flying makes me anxious. I'd take a train if I could - but I want to get there somewhat quickly.

Here's hoping all is gone before Sunday!!!!

Did he give you just one for each flight? Be aware that, at least for people I know, the first one will certainly take your anxiety away, but it might knock you on your butt! Just drowsiness.... it shouldn't make you feel bad or anything. Make sure Paul is around to wake you up! ::yes::

I hope your UTI clears up quickly so you can go and enjoy your trip! :goodvibes

That is such a neat idea. The stool looks great. Good luck on the bidding. :)

That's good to know - Paul will be there to wake me up. He did give me two for down and two for back because we have layovers each way. I'll be in Atlanta airport for over two hours. I hopefully won't have to take the second one... I hate to take something if I don't really have to.

LOVE him in pirates - he CREEPS me out in Charlie and the choc factory :rotfl:
I haven't seen the Willy Wonka movie yet as I have a fondness for the old one and I've heard that the new one is not as good. But, I do love him in Pirates as well. He gave that character such personality. I can't wait to see the second one when it comes out.

I've had blood in my urine from a simple UTI before, so it may not be anything to worry about. That's my wish for you...simple UTI that responds quickly to the antibiotics! :wizard:

I am so excited for you (and just the tiniest bit jealous ::yes:: ) about your trip! Have a terrific time!!!
