Tammi- Please don't be sorry to us about complaining about your PITA xH2B. I'm honestly glad to see you griping about him, because it is not good to keep everything in. I know you don't like venting about him, because it is your daily life and you come here to escape but it is a good thing to vent and get it out. You are in my thoughts.:grouphug:

Thanks, Becky.

I hope you dr. appt. goes smoothly and that it is nothing to worry about.

Also, sorry to hear about your friend. So sad. :grouphug:

Good morning!!!

Morning everyone! I thought I'd come here and "borrow" your help!
If anyone is shopping online or in a store, I'm looking for a men's cashmere v-neck sweater that is at or under $50. Land's End had them on sale...last week and now they are back up to $129. Overstock has one for $60...but I'd like to keep it under $50. So keep an eye out for me!

It snowed here last night! Our ground is nicely covered in Ravenna - the Cleveland area AKA Lake Effect Snow area got 8 inches two nights ago and another 3 inches last night. Cleveland area schools and surrounding county schools are still closed - some due to weather, but the majority due to no heat.

Glynis - when you cook your caramelized bacon - you just cook right on the jelly roll pan? Not on something that will drain the grease?

Chanon - any particular color?

Elin - Your tree looks beautiful. Next time I decide to wrap my tree in ribbon, I'll call you to come and do it. I can never get it to look right.

Thought I would post some pictures of the tree in living room. It is not our Disney tree. That is in Kristin's room and I will take pictures of it later. I collect Santas and have many ornamnents as well as figurines. Only a few fit on the new slimline tree I bought last weekend.
Thanks, Janet!

Hey what happened to only 3 pages being posted???? Now it is over 50?

Just got home and need to calm down. Hate driving up from Baltimore.
Got another picture of Chucky and I in the cockpit. This time I even got to sit in the Co-Captain's chair!!!! Way Cool.

I rode the RocNRollercoaster. Screamed bloody He}} the whole time :lmao: :lmao:

Still trying to absorb everything. What a difference from yesterday and today with the weather.

Later!!
Welcome home, Terry! I hope the trip was all you had hoped it would be. We missed you! :goodvibes

I will gladly help, but it really is not anything difficult to do. I just make certain to twist the ribbon slightly as I wrap it around. And I always use wired ribbons. We tend to vary the ribbon from year to year so the tree is not exactly the same. This year I found this peppermint stripe ribbon at Walmart!

You know, when I woke up this morning I was thinking, "It is someone's birthday today, but I cannot for the life of me remember who." Now I remember. Thanks for the brain jog, Tammi! And..

HAPPY BIRTHDAY, WALT!

Off to start my day, folks. And, I forgot...

Good morning, DDA! :sunny:

Try to stay warm!

Good morning!

Terry welcome back! Look forward to hearing about your trip.

Becky looks like you had a nice day out.

Tia you will be leaving soon :cool1:

Tammi I was thinking about ribbon on the tree as well. One of my cats or both keep messing with the garland & I have to fix it every morning. The bottom of my tree is going to be bare! was thinking if I used ribbon maybe they would leave it alone.

Good morning, all!

I've been trying to catch up a bit. I've been going quickly, though, so I'm sure that I've missed some things.

Glynis, sending my prayers for your neighbors.

Anne Marie, I loved your photos! The Santa place at Macy's is beautiful! I've never had any desire to go to Las Vegas either, but your photos and report made me re-think that.

Tammi, the photo of your kids with Santa is gorgeous! I agree that you are a strong woman and that you should be very proud of all that you are accomplishing. Nicholas and Alyssa are very lucky to have you. Belated HaPpY BiRtHdAy to Nicholas! party: :cake: :bday:

Deb, I love Hunter's "mouse house"! We did those books as read-alouds several years ago. I wonder if Miles remembers. I have been really bad about reading long books to him. We are having a mouse problem this year, too. We need to figure out where they are getting in. For now, we have traps in the attic and basement. Last night the cats got one in the basement. That is one thing that I definitely need dh for! I'm not a particularly squeamish person, and I did dozens of dissections in college, but I can't handle disposing of the dead mice.

Elin, your tree is beautiful!

Terry, WELCOME BACK!

Tia, :Pinkbounc

Becky, it looks like you had a fun day!

We have the tree up! Matthew and I put it up before Michael got home from work yesterday. Michael did help straighten it out a bit, though. It is HUGE! We can't walk between it and the sofa. Somehow, the trees always look smaller outside amongst other trees. We had it baled, so we didn't get to put lights on or decorate last night, because it had to fall back out. I am planning to get lights on today after work. Then we'll start decorating once the kids are home. There is a kids' Christmas party at IBM tonight that Miles is the only one young enough for. The older two can get homework done while we're at that, and hopefully we'll have time to get the decorating done.

I stayed up late last night and completed prep work for almost all of my nursery school projects for December. I still have a little left to do, but I'm in pretty good shape there. I also found some great books at the Dollar store to give out as Christmas presents. I like to give the kids a little something, but it gets expensive! I bought the 3's a book called Tales from the Manger which tells about Jesus' birth through the eyes of the animals. It is a long book but broken down into shorter stories. The 2's are getting a board book called The Christmas Star. I also bought the "dough" ornaments from AC Moore that were on sale for $0.50 this week and a candy cane. I'll get them wrapped up soon, and that will be done!

I owe a couple of people designs. I am going to do my best to finish those up today and tomorrow, and then I think I'll have to say "SORRY!" until after Christmas. It does take up a lot of time. Speaking of designing...I still have to make my Christmas cards. I was waiting until after the party tonight so that I could get Miles with Santa. The older two used to humor me up until two years ago, but they won't go stand with Santa now.

Take care! :grouphug: and :wizard: to all! I do think about you all even though I don't post as much as I should.

Beth

We are looking for an XL Tall mens - and it looks like he want's a cotton/cashmere mix. I found one on J Crew's website - but of course they are out. Go figure. Colors would be black, grey.

Old Navy has women's cashmere sweaters on sale this week for $30. I didn't notice if there were men's ones, though.

ETA: I just checked on-line, and it looks like they have only 100% cashmere, and they are $88.

I had to stop putting tinsel on the tree for this same reason. Everytime a cat would walk near the tree the tinsel would cling to her tail. My tree looked awful after a few days.....tinsel on the top half, bare on the bottom.
