So my Grandpa is home from the hospital, they suspected it might have been a stroke or blockage but neither showed up in the tests. They think it is all caused by arthritis, hopefully that is all it is.

For those of you who didn't know, at our family gathering last night, my Grandpa was taken to the hospital by ambulance because of swelling, lots of pain and just not feeling well at all.

Becky - Glad to hear your Grandpa is home! I hope he continues to improve! I really missed all of you - somebody needs to recap what happened on the Yahoo chat!

Happy Christmas Eve everyone. :)

Hope you all have a wonderful Christmas tomorrow. :santa:

Becky, glad to hear your Grandpa is home, pixiedust: that its nothing serious.

Kitty is doing GREAT! Her name is Midnight. Thanks to Terry and Vicki for the idea!

She has already put our dog in her place!

Hi Tom,

Wow, that is great. Glad you liked the name.
I was thinking of how you could cope with Sophie wanting to sample Midnite's food. One way would be to put her food in a room that you could barricade the room so only Midnite could get into. You really would not want to put it up on a counter because then she would think she is allowed on any counter.

I just love when our oldest DS's dog would come over. The cats would sit on a chair and when Jake would pass by, they would swat at his head with their paws. :rotfl2: All he wanted to do was play and they would then run away. He is a Golden too.

Hello everyone. We survived the family Christmas Party today. It was here and we must have had at least 50 people at one time. Everyone seemed to have had a good time. Nicholas stepped up and played Santa for the little kids. He was so cute although he looked like a chubby midget waddling around. I'll have to post a picture. After everyone left I put on the Santa suit and my neice Summer put on the Christmas tree outfit. Everyone that was left (14 of us) went out Christmas Caroling at all our neighbors houses. I think they were shocked. We had fun though. For anyone that was in on the frozen turkey issue last night I just want to say that it turned out wonderfully. Very juicy and perfectly cooked. Amazing. So what has everyone else been up too?

Hi Deb,

Sorry I missed the chatting on Yahoo. Didn't want to upload it since I tend to have major issues if I try to put anything new on. I should have said that I am always on Pogo Games. My screen name is t10kerbel.

Done with my wrapping and am ready for tomorrow. Just chilling and doing a few loads of laundry to get ready to leave Tuesday for our friend's house in WV.

Happy Christmas Eve to you, Heidi!

Deb - It sounds like you had fun today! How are you feeling?

Tom - The cat at work has her food on the counter. They don't have a dog, but they have Brother & Sister.;) Aurora gets on the counters anyway, just to see what she can find. Our other cat never gets on the counter. I guess it depends on the cat.

Thanks Terry, I am still finding it hard to keep Sophie away from Midnite's food. We are still working on that one. We literally have to feed her piece by piece out of our hand, until we figure out what to do. She does drink water very well from the dog bowl and Sophie doesn't seem to mind that.

Hi everyone!! :wave2:

I'm in full Christmas Eve mode. I'm leaving now to go pick up my kids from their dad. I volunteered to do this. He thinks I'm being nice when actually I'm being smart. This way I can guarantee that they are home when I want them.

Be back later.

I went out to grab a few last minute things today. I didn't know it was going to RAIN! YUCK! And it is cold now, too. I went to Walgreen's and then to the grocery store. DH wanted a coconut cream pie, and Becky lives to far away to share hers. DS wanted pumpkin. And the grocery store with the Kosher bakery has the best pies so I had to drive up there. We had frozen pizza for dinner. We used to have sandwiches when my mom & sister would come for Christmas Eve. We keep it pretty simple. DH is making a ham tomorrow.

My back is the same. I am taking the pain meds regularly to make sure that I don't have severe pain. I don't have the luxury of time to lay around right now so it works best. I have some photos to share with you all.

Here is Colby at his concert on Thursday

Now that you've all had a good laugh. I'll wish you all a Merry Christmas.

I'm going to play a game with the kids now (Chris too)

Have fun, Deb!

I am attempting to make a Jello dessert thing. It is a graham cracker crust, a layer of Cool Whip and cream cheese, topped with strawberry Jello mixed with mandarin oranges. I just finished the Jello layer. It has to chill for 3 hours, then we shall see! The pan weighs a ton.

Not on Yahoo but keep Glynis and her family in your prayers, her MIL was in a car accident and has leg and pelvic injuries, I don't remember many details. Just send prayers and :wizard: her way. Glynis I hope you don't mind I posted this.

There was weather talk, talk about what we did, sorry don't remember many details, I was going to keep the conversations and forgot to both nights.:upsidedow
